    :hello:

Back from the concert and managed to get a front row seat - the advantages of being a governor :rotfl: - so I have actually managed to avoid people walking across the screen and all but 1 person talking on tape for a change:rolleyes: Will have to go and see the second concert (and try to get the same seat) as the tape only had 5 minutes left and I knew they were doing 2 surprise songs for 2 teachers who are leaving so had to stop filming with 4 official songs still to go :o

Still can't get paid as the woman who does finance only got back today so I said I'd see her, and another member of staff about photos, next week.

UU are here again digging up the pavement. They're putting in new stockcocks (means we'll have a big hole outside ours soon  ) but they have a big leak next door and there is a huge pool of water outside ours, wider than a car! Phoned OH to warn him and he's not too happy:rolleyes: Personally I don't mind, especially if they decide to dig it up while DD is here so she can watch them. She's fasinated by the mini digger :rotfl:

Really annoyingly I could do with having a sleep as I'm shattered but I know I won't wake up on my alarms (I can't even wake up properly of a morning with them :o ) and I won't sleep with all the noise so I see a very early night for me again. I would have liked to have stayed up tonight for Gardeners World (10pm) and then "10 things I hate about you" but I've got no chance unless I get a "second wind" as OH would say.

Right, off to make a STRONG cup of coffee and have a tidy up. Can't clean the bathroom or kitchen or do laundry/dishes with having no water so I think I might leave it until tomorrow and get OH & DD to help. DD loves to hoover :j Laters

    Hiya

PP-Going to see Pirates Of The Carribean (sp?) DD loves Orlando Bloom. Managed to book the disabled seats which have excellent view of the screen so am really pleased:D DD is partially sighted so she will be able to see fine too. Im guessing its going to be busy and woe betide anyone sitting in my seat:eek:  :D;)

    xx

That's what we fancy too, but can you imagine the scene when DD and DS get back "and what did you see at the pictures............."

I quite like Jonny Depp, too. Orlando hasn't been the same since he did away with th Lord of Rings plaits :rotfl:

Which reminds me, I have a copy of the first P of C DVD dubbed into Chinese, that I'm sending to someone via Freecycle. Need to get it in the post.

    See you later, Penny. x

Nice to see you back PenPen ... Yes, my paragraphs are still absent whenever I post from work ... various other users are having the same problem (purpleprincess and VickyA among others) ... None of my formatting buttons work, and I can type a normal-looking message with paragraph breaks and everything, but then when I press "Post" it gets rid of the carriage returns and makes it into one big paragraph ... Glad your choir concert went well ... Where in York is the new restaurant? Of course when I lived in York I didn't eat out much on account of being a poor student, there was one place that did a mean pub lunch though - what was it called? The Judge's Lodgings? Anyway, lovely place with a beer garden and courtyard at the front, between the Lendal Cellars and the library ... Let me know if it's any good, as me and old uni friend keep saying we must pop back up there sometime - it's been years! ... Rzl

Good to be back amongst friends, Rzl.

It's in the building of the old York Girls School, called La Vecchia Scuola :D , on Low Petergate. Some friends went a few weeks ago, and said it was good. Only prob is that they don't take bookings on Fri or Sat, so going early. Happy to sit and have a drink in the bar, as DH and I have hardly seen each other all week.

When you make it back, let me know, it would be great to meet you. I live a bit south of York in the rural flatlands.

    Penny. x

    Goodnight everybody,

I'm off to bed. I'm going to do a bit of reading first. Hot water bottle is warming it up now as I type. :p

PenPen :rotfl:No their not my pets. We don't get hamsters over here. The closest thing is guinea pigs. I think it's too hot for them. I just think they are cute. This one is actually holding a frying pan with an egg next to it. I thought it was a tennis racquet. :D

    Have a great Friday. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

About to go to my dad's flat and clear out any letters etc.

Saw him last night and he did not feel up to getting into wheelchair - so got his bed wheeled out into garden for about 45 mins and we all had a cup of tea. He looked a bit taken aback by the idea but I think that he enjoyed it.

May make a curry for tea or else pie with new potatoes and cauli cheese.

Went to Lidl and got lovely vanilla ice cream and a jar of strawberry sauce and choc sauce to pour over it for 45 pence each!

    Afternoon all

Moggins :grouphug: Hope that a good nights sleep has help you gain a clearer prespective on things.

PPEnjoy pirates of the caribbean, I cant wait to see this but I'm saving it to go with DD.:A

Ping winged and all others going on hoildays this weekendEnjoy your holiday.

Ive been busy this morning had to go into town to pick up a letter that had not had the correct postage paid. Have also arranged to go in and speak to Ds teacher tonight as I couldn't make parents evening, and his dad is over from Dublin. OS wise I've got washing on line and BM on and have give the kitchen and bathroom a tidy.

I'm off with OH to see James Brown tonight, though for me the meal before is the highlight as I'm not a big James Brown fan and when we saw him 2yrs ago he didn't manage to make an impression.

OH has become obssessed with Bonsai trees and his first one arrived today, though to y mind as we have a rabbit that eats everything this was not a smart move:rolleyes:

Anyway off to see what else needs doing.
