Good morning everyone,
Had a lovely evening last night, a good friend came round with a bottle of wine, and we were able to catch up on everything thats been going on. The sad bit, is that she is moving to America next year with her family, it came as a bit of a shock, but its what they want to do, so ive got to be happy for them, although i will miss her like mad!!!
Hoping for a quiet day today, 2 little ones here, but so far (touch wood) the sun is out, so im hoping we will be able to get outside with them. Also have some cheques to put into the bank, but will do that straight from dropping DS and DD off at school, and today im determind to get my accounts up to date, as i havnt even looked at them since April, so think i should get them done!!!!
PP - glad you had a better nights sleep, hope the hospital goes ok this morning.
Michelle - hope the inspection results are good for your school, and you are able to stay cool today.
Wigginsmum - hope your headache improves, and you are able to get some sleep tonight.
Hugs to everyone today, hope everyone has a lovely day

Hello everybody,

Still cooking tea. DH watching the news atm & then he will go to work. I've made curried sausages & rice. Should be ready soon. The rice is nearly done. Made a gingerbread cake & some bikkies this morning. Turned out nice & I've been sorting out a folder aka Moggins.
Better go and check tea. Great news that your feeling better today PP. I'd be shattered Wigginsmum. I need my beauty sleep.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Loads of ironing to do - didn't get round to it yesterday so must crack on when it's nap time.

Morning all :hello: ... ((((((moggins)))))) ... I know you've been having this row with OH as regular as clockwork for a while cos I remember the last time you mentioned it ... Hang in there ... You know, don't you, that because of the resourcefulness and resilience you've shown many times on here, that you'll be OK whatever happens :grouphug: ... Also ((((Smashing Blouse)))) ... forgot to say so yesterday ... Your grandmother sounds like a wonderful person ... I wish mine was still so "with it" at that age (mine's 89) ... Who else
... oh yes (((wigginsmum))) and (((PP))) ... The sky is heavy and thunderous-looking over London this morning ... Wish it would just start to rain/thunder ... Yesterday evening was very pleasant, just warm enough to sit outside in a sleeveless top and a nice cool breeze blowing, but this morning it's all humid again  ... The details of my new job have moved on ... I now have an important-sounding job title (Business Information Manager) which sounds like I'm on a megabucks salary doesn't it? But somehow I can't see that happening
and the payrise still hasn't been sorted ... I have a certain figure in mind (not a million miles away from current salary) above which I'll be happy and anything more will be a bonus ... Old Style is slightly out of the window for the next few days as I'm out this evening and tomorrow ... Am having a very non-OS picnic at Glyndebourne on Saturday (once again supplied by my father
) and probably another non-OS picnic with my church choir on Sunday ... but will be baking some cookies for work as it's my birthday next week ... Must go ... see you soon ... Rzl xx

Morning All
((PP & Moggins& Wigginsmum)) 'cos I think you need them;)
Not remotely OS but I've had some good news & some more good news:D and I wanted to share it with you guys because you are all :A.
Last week I decided I wasn't going to go back to work when my maternity leave ends & resigned & also made a big but unoffical complaint about the way they handeled my maternity leave, but they refused to accept my resignation! Turns out it's not beacuse I'm employee of the year:rolleyes:, but because they need to make redundancies & if I agree not to make my complaint offical they will give me a nice big enhanced voluntary redundancy package:D:rotfl:And to make things even better still, hubby has maganged to negotiate a bit of a change in his shif pattern to not work evenings & so now I can look for a a evening job without worrying about childcare:D
Off to free rhyme time & story time at the library this morning, then a big clean & tidy up this afternoon as the dreaded M-i-L is visiting tomorrow:p
Have a fab day everyone:T:beer:Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!0 -
Morning all :hello:
Penny-Pincher - Glad you slept better last night. Good luck at the hospital.
Wigginsmum - :grouphug: Hope you manage to get some decent sleep tonight and your migraine goes away.
cha97michelle - Hope you manage to keep cool today.
Kazonline - Can you send some of that rain this way? I'd love to see United Utilities trying to bail out all the holes they've dug in our street :rotfl: They've already spent 30 minutes trying to bail one out that flooded from a leak 2 days ago and thats using a mini-digger!
Moggins - :grouphug: Hope things get better for you. Don't know what else to say :grouphug:
I've got a quiet day today. No washing for me or cleaning of bathroom/kitchen this morning at least as our water is off  Looks like UU are putting in new stopcocks outside each house. Unfortuantely for me the big green tractor and main van they're using are parked outside our house  No windows/blinds open out front today except for upstairs blind. Got my music on to try and drown out the noise but it's not helping that much  Got up this morning at 6.30am :j Was washed, dressed etc and downstairs by 7am but then had to wait until OH went upstairs for a bath before I could do my exercise video. My plan was he goes for a bath at 7 so I could do my 10min abs blast and 10minutes meditation but he's changed his routine as of yesterday (nice of him to tell me  ) and now goes for a bath at 7.15 so I didn't get around to meditating, but did the more important exercise for the first time in monthsFront of my neck is killing me as I have a habit of tensing it as I'm doing any form of sit ups but at least I should have a nice taught neck and belly :rotfl:
Going to go and have a look on ebay for some "You are what You eat" books (I want both) as OH said to me last night "You do what you need to do to be healthy and just add red meat/white bread for me and I'll be happy"Where this has suddenly come from I don't know as he's usually moaning that I want to change our diet and he's not getting enough red meat etc as it is
Going to spend the morning on the computer so that I don't get too hot and sweaty and end up drinking the 4 litres of water I've got saved with our water being off. Honest....

Morning all ((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))) to those who need then especially Moggins and PP.
Just back from my weigh in at the Docs, have lost a little more weight, not much, but then I have been eating ice cream this week!!!!!!!!
Its dull here, we had rain first thing but its gone off now, still very muggy out OH is playing bowls this afternoon.........so I have some me time.
Have been sleeping slightly better, we have been staying up later watching ITV3 and not getting to bed until after midnight, not sure if thats anything to do with it, or the lavender foot balm I have been using at night.... its almost finished so will see what happens when I am no longer using it.
Nothing planned for the day, house clean, washing not due till the weekend, bed changed then, might be able to delay the rest of the washing until late next week, laundry bin is half empty.............quite a few houses here still without power after yesterdays storms, guess they will be getting some claims, I think you have to be off for 18 hours before you get compensation.
Good news re your job Lillibet at least they were honest enough to tell you that there were redundencies in the pipe line.........so you will ahve some extra cash to tuck away against a rainy day and still be able to be home with your little one during the day.
Right I am off the coffee pot calls and I need to see if my Tesco payment has got to the account!!!!!! do not want to have to pay them interest on my shopping thats not MS.
