Snowy Owl, it wasn't me honest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my slow cooker has a glass lid too.......................

Looking for an hotel in New York, my god the prices they charge for rubbish hotels, some of the reviews would make your hair curl, looks like we would have to pay at leasy £150 a night to get a decent room to sleep in!!!!!! We have been invited by a friend to visit them in Florida, thought we might break our journey in the big apple..........not at those prices we wont.

The cheapest fares I could find to Tampa were with Kiwait Airlines!!!!! still thinking about it, not very hard...........too many boot sales etc would have to be done to pay for it, and we do not have that much stuff to sell, although having said that if we could sell the almost new caravan awning we bought last year it would help!!!!! Any suggestions gratefully recieved, we have done everything we can think of to get rid of it.

Thanks for the concern, both for the IBD and my nan. We have Been told that it is lung cancer, but nan is upbeat and says she has to go sometime

Smashing Blouse, I am so sorry. I lost my mum to lung cancer 4 months ago aged 81. She fought to the end, but wasn't as alert as your nan is now. It's going to be hard and if you ever need someone to rant at feel free to PM me.:grouphug:

    Morning Guys!

Slept quite well last night, although woke up tooo early!!

WM is on and will be hung out on line. DW needs to be put on after breakfast and toilet has been cleaned. Rest of house pretty clean and tidy.

Im up Kings again this morning for another horrid infusion, but no more hospital visits till next Monday:j...will take a lunch for OH and I as there sandwiches are pricey-£2.90 for a plain cheese sarnie:eek: Think I will take left over chilli and rice with some salad chopped in and eat cold. OH likes their free soups, so will just butter a couple of rolls for him to take and some biccies to go with our coffees:o

Really missing my SIL and what she does round the house for me. Although OH tries, she is better at certain things..LOL. She'll be back next week...thank goodness!!

    Breakfast: Toast & Jam
Lunch: Cold chilli/rice with mixed salad
Dinner: HM Pie, Mash & Cabbage

Anyway thats it from me ATM. Hope everyone has a good day and the weather stays cooler but dry.

    Hugs to all.

I'm jealous ... I've had a total of 10 hours sleep since Saturday night and none at all last night thanks to a migraine. Off to work soon :( Probably won't spend anything as I'll go through the day on autopilot and collapse into bed this evening.
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

    Morning.

good luck up at kings PP.
Wigginsmum - hope you manage the day. I'd be collapsed already on that little sleep.

Well i feel strangely like it is the weekend today. The inspectors won't be in :T so i just hope when we hear the verdict this morning it will be good news. the entire staff have run on nervous exhaustion all year, and i think a few might snap if there is no break. I personally hope we've done well, but don't care as much as i should because i know i won't be there next year. We are also having a multicultural day tomorrow, mainly run by outside visitors, so i won't be pressured to get stuff done tonight.

I have 3 lessons, all this morning, so i should manage that before my room gets too hot. I then have a couple of frees, so i think i should spend some time writing reports and putting exam results into the computer system. that will mean 2 big jobs ticked off my list. I'll take the lap top into school today and see what i can get done.

I slept quite well so i am hoping it will be a good energy day and i will get lots done.

I'm going now so i can do a few house things like put away the washing up.

    Have a nice day everyone.

Morning PP, Scuzz, Wigginsmum and all to follow.

I had a bit of a late night last night and feeling a bit low on energy at the mo. Just about to pop into a cool bath before the rest of the house wakes up.

Once again its hot and muggy, must hoover this am which I am not looking forward to think actually will hoover then bath.

Ironing was all done yesterday, have 1 load of clothes washing today and will make sure that it is ironed as soon as it is dry. Need to change bedding and wash that which is one of my least favourite jobs!

Going to set up a fan in my kitchen with some iced water in front of it as cooking dinner last night was unbearable, have got to cook tonight then nothing till Sunday as am out Fri and Sat for meals for my DD's bthday - that reminds me must pop into local town for her cards.

Well best get on now. Hope it goes well at the hospital PP and hope the migraine goes Wigginsmum

Morning Scuzz Chamichelle & Essex girl  and all who follow/cross post :wave:

    It's raining here today:j

Got to get my shopping done today as I've been putting it off all week, and then I think perhaps its time I 'encouraged' myself to write out a routine.
I've still not got around to writting out my SOA

My first attemppt at sprouting seeds seem to be doing well (mung beans - there were no alfalfa in stock) and last night I made another chicken pie. I'm amazed at how far a chicken can go since joining OS!!
Right, best crack on. Hope you all have a good day,

Lovely day here in Southend! Got loads of housework to do today. DW emptied. WM on.

I can't find my passport. It was in my knickers drawer. Went to get it last night to fill in passport renewal form & it wasn't there. Its run out so I've not used it. I am going to Munich in August so needed to get passport asap, eek.

Morning all, it's piddling down out there, I'm not looking forward to the school run later :(

I'm feeling very down and despondent today I'm afraid. DH and I had a huge row which is never going to be resolved, we have the same argument every 6 months or so and the fact that we are never going to see eye to eye over this issue is really getting me down and all I can think about today is taking the children and leaving.

If I put the house on the market and took my share of the equity I would have £20,000. I know me and the kids could live for a long time on that.
