Oh boy I am sssssssssooooooooooo chuffed with myself we are trying to pay off the expenses we built up on our CC when we moved into this house, I managed last year to do a 0% for 9 months onto a card with our bank, but it ran out last month, they offered me a 5.6% life of balance rate ...... I had looked around for a 12 month offer but had not managed to get one, today, on Martins advice I applied to Halifax and got 12 month 0%, ok I have to pay a 2% BTF but it will save us such a lot in interest.........I am so pleased............. another year will cost me £50, I would have paid more than that in interest over the year so all the cash I pay in will bring the card down that much quicker.......YAY

I was talking to the bank this morning about something else and they offered me a personal loan at 7.9% to clear the CC, needless to say I turned it down........ do they think I am daft or what????!!!!!

Off to do the chicken mayo and salad for supper....... singing a little song.....

Talking of Tesco clubcard....OH just called to say that our summer deals vouchers have just arrived. Without these it would have been a very dull couple of weeks with the girls indeed.
Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

  • Hi all.

Areally cr*p day for me today. Woke up feeling bad with my IBD so took day off work, feel really guilty though as only been in this job 4 weeks. Then at 9.30 my dad rang to say my nan has been taken to hospital by ambulance. She is 91. So I rushed down there. She has a very fast heart beat (AF0 and has some internal bleeding.
She looked awful but was chatting away about Big Brother to the nurses. Still a bit touch and go though.

My nan has always been there since my mum died when I was 14 (35 now) so it's really hard.

Sorry about being on a downer, just wanted it off my chest.

(((Poppy))) and if I had the right smiley's I'd also insert the one with a great big club bashing him on the head for you. x

Moggins - thanks for posting that. I didn't realise you could use the vouchers for megabowl cadbury world nor longleat! :o Guess I should venture further than the OS board ! We went to West Midlands a week or so ago - I'm sure you'll have a great time. The hippos were stinky as it was a hot day, but there were some gorgeouse babies so well worth the niff! The bracelets for the rides seem to have come down in price too £8.75 each which allowed as many rides as you wanted :money:

The best bit had to be when the Giraffe put it's head through the car sunroof and dribbled slobber all over the seat - boy can they slobber! :D

Hope you have a great time!

Ps for anyone who's not been before it's well worth checking out the timetable of 'shows' before you go so that you don't miss out (eg feeding times/ sea lion displays)

    Afternoon

Still feeling a little squiff but better than earlier. Must be the worst night ever.

In the post this morning I received my FREE full size Rimmel foundation, £10 vouchers for Bowling (£2.50 Tesco clubcard points) and £15 voucher for Yates (£3.75 Tesco clubcard points), 2 x £1 vouchers and a free washing powder sample (wil put away for holiday) Good day for the freebies..LOL.

Also received the dreaded DLA forms for reconsideration and have to sent back by the end of July:eek: will start asking for letters etc next week once I sort out what I need.

OH has been very busy:D He's cleaned the blinds in the lounge, swept and moped through downstairs and cleaned the glass teddy cabinets. He also had his OU exam this morning which he feels did well on:rolleyes: I cleaned the toilet:p He has also hung the washing outside and emptied the DW.

Up the hospital tomorrow for another infusion which Im not looking forward too. Then no more hospital appointments till next week:T...well have the Stairlift man coming to check it on Friday morning...but thats it:beer: :j

Am abit miffed off with Specsavers! DD is partially sighted and should have her eyes tested every 6 months, but when I called back at Easter was told that she was now on annual check ups-I ask them to make sure as she has always had 3-6 month checks but they confirmed that they werent due again till Aug 06. Anyway OH called today as she desperately needs new glasses, they said Sept 06-OH challenged this and said about her usual frequent visits. So she went away and called back and YES she is suppose to have them every 6 months:mad: They were due in March!! OH said well are we entitled to 2 pairs of glasses then:rotfl: ...lady said nahhh!! So she has an appointment on Friday afternoon, DD would like designer glasses:confused: and Specsavers have BOGOF ATM so fingers x'd! We also get 50% back through HSA-so should cost us about £70 for 2 pairs as we have to pay for them to be extra thinned as there like milk bottles otherwise:eek:

OH has booked up to see POTC on Friday after school at Bluewater, so am looking forward to that and hopefully will be feeling OK. He has booked the disabled seats, which are pretty good seats. Coz he's my carer, he got in free so all 3 of us cost £9.

Anyway, Ive got to go as DD and OH have just come in.

    Laters!!
