Still loved, still missed and very dear

Hi all,
Reading the threads I do envy those of you who are SAHMs with little ones. Make the most of it they grow up all too soon.
Brzl fingers crossed for you.
Feeling hot and bothered because I have been down to one of our recreation grounds three times this morning trying to sort out a problem, hopefully now sorted. Will have to dash to the bank in a few minutes so I'm hoping for a quieter afternoon.

Not much oldstyling today.... got woken up at 8ish by OH getting back into bed! Hed been up and down all night with toothache... waking me a few times by accident so im knackered.... then the door went at 8:30am... Mr courier person with my passport My first one EVER!So im all excited.... hehe... only problem is i look awful on the pic and its got to last me 10 years  :rotfl:
Spent the morning pottering... sorting bits and pieces out for my move on saturday! Not even started packing yet:eek: But i have a 2 week window to move everything (tenancy doesnt officially end till 16th august) but need the tv and comp in OHs place by monday for telewest to transfer my services.. and need to move the fridge and cooker to there too so we can eat! :rotfl: So may aswell just move the big essentials on sat.
Gotta go the post office later to post some bits.. and pop the shops hopefully for a few bits if i can muster the energy in this heat.... and then its ironing my scout uniform!!:p
I have a meeting tonight at 7pm to tell the committee why i wanna be a scout leader (so i can get my warrant now my CRB check has finally come back!) havent thought about an answer yet except for "cos im a glutton for punishment?" :rotfl:.......................... Just hope OH is home in time... cos i dont know how to do my neck scarf! His dad (my superior at scouts) is meant to be getting me a woggle cos i dont have one.. Im woggleless :rotfl: .... and hes also picking me up to take me to the meeting but i know he (OHs dad) wont be impressed if i cant even tie my neckerchief (sp?) He wasnt when he realised i cant do the salute! My fingers just DONT bend that way! :rotfl: :rotfl: He kept going on about how he still could with arthritis and half a finger missing!
Ah well... got some kievs out the freezer for tea... cheese and smoked ham! There were loads reduced to 99p in sainsburys the other week so i stocked up!Probably just do them with chips or salad.. depends how i feel after the meeting

Johanne - made me laugh about your passport, i always hated my first one, was pleased when i could change it, but now i hate my new one and realise how nice and young i looked in the first one!!!!
Shez - havnt had Dora on for a couple of weeks now, as we have a new favourite..........Toy Story!!!! (1 and 2) mind you, im fed up of those now!!!! Glad you got to chat to your boss, and have been paid!!!!
Kaz - ive just started a herb garden by my back door, so far i have mint, chives, basil and curly parsley!!!! I havnt got much room for anything else, did attempt some carrots, but only one has appeared, and im not sure if there is a carrot underneath it anyway!!!!
Rzl - any news yet? Still have my fingers crossed for you!!!!
TM and Snowy - had been wondering where you both were, glad you are both ok!!!
Kiwi - good luck with the potty training!!!!
Sorry if ive missed anyone out, but just discovered the biscuits i was making in the oven, yes they are now burnt!!!!! So thats it, my mind has now gone blank (again, yes it doesnt take much!!!!)
Well, as you can guess, ive been baking again this morning, made scones, flapjack and melting moment biscuits (the last batch are the ones i forgot about) loads of children here, all watching a dvd at the moment whilst the little one is in bed. Need to walk upto the post office once she wakes up, i sold a book on amazon last night (hurrah) so want to get it posted. Was going to go this morning, but this big old black cloud came wondering by, so thought it was going to rain, but nothing yet, prob when we walk up later!!!!!
Right, will pop back later, have a lovely afternoon everyone
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! gas prices going up yet again!!!!!!!!!!!! how do they expect people like us who are on a fixed income to manage.....we barely got through last winter and had to increase our DD at the 12 month review to play catch up........I know they are not allowed by law to cut off supplies to the elderly and people with small chidlren but where is it going to end.......I get so depressed when I have to re-jig our finances once again.......we have had to give up so much in the last few years just to keep pace with the price rises and there are some things I refuse to skimp on. We save for holidays and to keep our car on the road, we have not bought any new clothes for years, using up the clothes we had from when we were at work, we gave up our caravan because we could not longer afford it, the only thing we spend money on is the allotment which helps to keep our food bills down.
Tony Blair is on a help yourself healthy kick......how does he expect the eldery to keep healthy when we cannot afford to buy good quality food if we want to pay our fuel bills?????????????

Just logged in for a quick 10 minutes while I have a coffee.
Good to hear from you Snowy, guessed computer hospital was hanging onto it, why oh why can't they shift themselves a bit quicker? Still with all that dosh you're spending maybe you need a part-time job for this week's holiday instead!!:rotfl: Just think how lovely it'll be when it's done, and what an incentive to keep on top of the housework!!! Only joshing, really :rotfl: :rotfl:
Kaz, give it another week or two and that griddle will be in the bag!!:D
Shez, yeah it did get cloudy, cooled a little bit, rained half an hour ago for all of um, yeah 3 minutes!!!! Sun now out again and humidity climbing! Blow some more over from your high tower please:D
Well coffee's all drunk and I did promise DS3 a lift so I'm off again. Byee! You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
STILL nothing from the HA ... I wish they'd get on with it, it's driving me mad, my heart is pounding and I can't concentrate on my work - and that's with 2 deadlines looming in the next 2 days! ... Am ashamed to say I have just been out and spent £9.60 in "comfort money" ... £5.90 on lunch (delish baked sweet potato with olive and feta filling, on a bed of salad, and a slice of coconut & lime drizzle cake for afters ... £3.70 on a piece of delicious cheese ... good thing I don't splurge too often
... Johanne ... your neckerchief ... fold it in two, diagonally from corner to corner ... then with the folded edge furthest from you, roll it up towards you until all that's left is a little point ... then put it round your neck with the point hanging over, not under, the rest of the necker ... does that make sense? ... I was in the Guides once, y'know
