Topher - how old is your pup and what type? (sorry if I've missed in another thread)
Pup is Mini Long haired Dachshund, 4 1/2 months old. Fortunately very happy for any of the four of us to let out at half past stupid in the morning, so it seems to have fallen out in turns (ish)

Bargain Rzl -so sorry you are still on tenterhooks! That's awful. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
P-P - glad you are okay(ish)! LOL at your DD wanting to get her uniform so early. I bet she looks great in it! BTW my DD2 went into size 7 shoes at the age of ten:eek: but her feet didn't get any bigger after that. I went into a 7 when I was 13 and i can remember sobbing in the shoe shop, "I CAN'T be a seven! My MUM'S a seven!":o :rotfl: It felt like the end of the world!
This is the second post I've done because I pressed the wrong key and lost the first one:rolleyes: Can't remember what I said now!
Michelle - hope your watermeter reader turned up eventually! Not what you'd call good customer service, is it?
Nicki - poor DD and poor you! I hope she recovers quickly.
Ajax and VickyA - best wishes for Saturday! hopefully it'll be a little cooler for your weddings.
Shez - glad you managed to get things sorted out re your job - hope your working life will be more satisfactory from now on!
Tootles - I entirely agree it's disgusting about the fuel price rises! These "fat cats" just have no idea what it's like to have to cope with it all on a fixed income. British Gas made a loss? Aw, diddums!
Topher - your pup sounds gorgeous (apart from the needing to be let out in the middle of the night part! Soon grow out of it I expect.)
Better go now and get some dinner on the go. Salad tonight, i think!

I also think i might fill the car up with things that i want to take back to school, and then do that this afternoon or tomorrow. That's one way of tidying up!! :rotfl:
Also a teacher... Ain't school great for home tidy ups?
I see you're in Rotherham... not far from me then, I teach in Sheffield side of Barnsley.
 Enjoy your WELL EARNED holiday.

Topher - your pup sounds lovely. Ours is a staffie cross - I swear he's cross daschund but no one agrees with me!
I was at the PDSA with a friend as her pup had injured itself and she had no transport so needed a lift. While we were there a guy came in ranting about a dog, eventually saying they would have to take it - but no one could work out where it was. Despite them pointing out they were a vets not a rescue center/pound he was insistent. Eventually he unzipped his holdall, pulled out a pup and threw him on the floor!
I had been promising the boys for months that as I was no longer in work we'd look at getting a rescue dog, and after spending the night thinking about it I went back the next day and he became our DDJanuary '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far)

Evening All,
Another long day over and done with. I ahve today come to the conclusion that my neighbours are awful. They have a 5 year old daughter whom they ingore all day. Consequently she is always at the fence shouting (and I really do mean shouting) for dd1 to talk to her. Every day shes at the front door saying "My Daddy said I could play at your house/come to the park with you/have tea with you". I never get asked whether or not I mind.
We have a 6ft fence dividing our properties, the fence belongs to us. We did say when we moved in that we may, at some stage, talk about lowering a few panels to allow more sun into the garden in the evenings. A few weeks back I took the kids to school/preschool and when I came back they were in the middle of cutting them down!!!!! Without asking !!!!!Its getting difficult as though its my fence and I am well withing my rights to rebuild or even ask/tell them to rebuild, we are wanting an extension done to the kitchen next year and NEED to keep them onside so they dont raise any objections. Bl**dy politics.
Rant over with now, sorry.
Big love and huds to all of you in need of one today, it seems a few of us OSers are having a rough time of it lately.
Anyways, I am off for a well deserved browse.
Chat tomorrow,
