Morning all :hello:
:grouphug: to all. Week one of the summer hols is basically over and we've done NOTHING  Oh well, it means I've got more activities to keep DD busy over the next few weeks. She's having another DVD day (She watched 4 yesterday), eating plenty of fruit and hopefully I will be able to get some more liquids down her today. Poor thing has spots on her tongue and other areas I can't put anything on  She's still itchy and is complaining that she can feel some of the spots getting bigger
She looks like she could pass for a sunburnt dalmation she's so spotty. We counted 253 spots yesterday and today she's got more
Last night I was talking about some of the activities we can get up to when she's better and I mentioned something about doing some history and she came out with "Like Henry VIII whose daughter became queen when he died" Had to come online and look it up, and she's kind of right, Edward VI (eldest son) was first, then Queen Mary I (youngest daughter by second marriage if I remember rightly) became queen 6 years later when Edward died. Now my question is how did DD who is 5 years-old know this?
Anyways, should really get on with the housework. Will do outside tomorrow as DD is still naked and I'm not having the frontdoor open while she's on the sofa  Besides which, I'm in my "cleaning clothes" aka PJ bottoms & vest top which is not a fit sight for anyone :D Later :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Off to do my computer teach this morning, its very warm already and I do not feel like sitting at a computer all day, but needs must..... had problems with my laptop yesterday, it would not connect to the router and then could not find various websites I wanted, think it was suffering from the heat..... Got my 1st app't with a councellor after work. I am dreading it. Have kept things nicely buried in the past. Well with the aid of the prozac...:o
I've put the washing out but need to empty the dishwasher.
Hope everyone has a good day
Lisa x
Very best of wishes.
If you've never had counselling before, it can be a bit outfacing. There also might be a bit of a feeling of a let down after a first session as you come to terms with it being very practical, not how you'd imagined it, not having said all of those things you'd been rehearsing all day to say.... however, once you get into it, and start to trust your counsellor (assuming he/she is suitable for your needs) it really can be a wonderful, life changing sevice.
I endorse what others have said about not leaping in to coming off Prozac. I always needed to check out that desire to come off it, was it because not being on it was "normal"? Was it because I wanted to somehow demonstrate recovery at a rate I thought appropriate? (Not always the right rate for me)
Anyway, I won't burble on when my intention was to just write to you and support you in your new venture....
Best wishes :T

I was trying for a lie in, but then the recycling truck noises woke me up. Oh well.!!
Ajax and Vicky - make sure you take some time out today to pamper yourselves. If you are anything like me, i only slept 2 hours before my wedding, and then was up for 22 hours. It sure was worth it though. So make sure today you get some me time.
Nikki - hope today is a bit more bearable for you with DD. It shouldn't last too long. Your DD may have seen something on a cartoon. MY brother often amazed me in the same way. Proving not all kids TV is rubbish.
Lisa - take some tissues to your councelling. They are generally lovely people, but mine made me bubble for england every time i saw her. It's hard talking about things you torment yourself with to a virtual stranger. I found councelling really helpful for me.
topher - yes, another teacher. I think my trip into school will be today. I got as far as filling the boot yesterday, but i'm going to have to be very careful where i put it as our cleaner is very enthusiastic in the holidays, and can't tell the difference between i was saving that for a practical, or it is piled next to the bin so please take it. And if she hasn't chucked it, then my head of department is likely to have. Oh well, at least the house looks tidier.
Well my water meter reader turned up at 4pm yesterday. Very late as i had been waiting since 8am. But someone rang and said it was her fault as she had recorded it on the wrong date, and had only just realised. So i got an apology.
I spent a good part of the day being ruthless and binning stuff. I got rid of 2 boxes of notes from my degree. I felt strangely happy doing it. After all, it is now 5 years old, so likely to be out of date, i haven't used any of it, and i can find anything i need in a book or on the internet. I binned my teacher training notes the other week. The only thing i did keep was my coursework. Too many hours went into it, and it is nice to look at and say, look - i did understand it all once even if it looks a foreign language now. It's all outside now waiting for the recycling man. :T
It's strange as i probably would have hung on to it if it wasn't for the baby, and needing the extra space.
plan for today. Try to do some ironing now, so a bit has gone at least. Pop into school for a couple of hours. finish tidying downstairs ready for DH's mega DIY weekend. This in reality probably means just carry it upstairs, as we still have the problem of nowhere to store anything.
Then we have the aerial guy coming tomorrow. DH is just having a new aerial and will do the other work himself, saving nearly £100 and getting it done exactly as we want. He rang the guy to tell him that, and he said, oh, we can discuss it further on Saturday. Why do they not just do what you want without fuss??
Anyway, going to stop rambling, and get a few bits ironed at least before it gets any hotter.
See you all later,
Michelle, xx0 -

Scuzz you have my sons dream job! he's always wanted to work in radio, at the moment he has a one hour a week show for youth.com which is a youth radio station based in Worcester but only available on the internet at the moment but hoping to go FM soon! he also set up his own internet radio station at a friends house called Radio Mandy.
Hope your son gets there. It's a tough nut to crack with lots of people wanting just a handful of jobs available. If you think I could pass on any advice, give me a shout and I'll do what I can to point him in the right directionComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Morning all :hello: ... Still waiting to hear from the HA, as you know ... Am expecting a call sometime this afternoon ... In the meantime I've got loads of w**k to do ... BTW I've been meaning to say, to all those who I chat to regularly on MSN, sorry for my extended absence, I am still waiting for our broken router to be replaced and until it is, I can only get online at home while sitting on the bottom step (plugged straight into the broadband socket) getting covered in cat hair and being boiled alive by my laptop ... naturally I've been spending as little time on the net as possible except in the office ... Rchddap1 - you already thought you were having a girl, didn't you? Has OH come round to the idea - an extra daughter isn't SO bad y'know
... Vicky & Dilbert, and Ajax & OH, congratulations in advance of your weddings tomorrow, and I hope the weather holds out - don't know exactly where you are, but certainly in London it's not supposed to rain properly until Sunday (when I'm going to an outdoor birthday party  ) ... Hope the HA let me know soon as we don't want tootles's fingers to seize up do we
... manicdays, sorry, I mean MrsMH
- good luck with your appointment, hope it sets the scene for you being able to come off your meds soon ... Tonight I'm going to drinks after work (one colleague is off on maternity leave and another who left the company last week is coming back to share the leaving do) but not drinking toooooo much as am off to a concert at the Barbican this evening, of little-known Mozart arias ... Busy weekend planned, matinee tomorrow followed by a Prom, and then Sunday is this birthday party which is due to take place in the Proms queue
The only drawback is that I wasn't THAT interested in the content of Sunday evening's Prom, and if is wasn't for the party (which is billed as a "100th Birthday" as it's a joint party for a 31 year old and a 69 year old
) I would happily take the day off from going out and get things done around the house instead ... Anyway ... must dash ... See you later ... Rzl xx

Morning all:hello:
Good luck & best wishes & hugs to all as appropriate:dance:_party_:grouphug:
A much better day here after yesterdays massive storm which prevented me from getting an internet connection for 2 hours:rolleyes:
Hubby has been off work all week this week so I haven't been around much, but have still been popping in to read. Hubby had a job interview yesterday & now we are on tenterhooks waiting to hear but he is up against 14 others & more interviews going on today so we won't know anything until next week. We need to do something to distract ourselves............
Dinner is all taken care of as Hubby was too shattered when he got in last night to eat his birthday Chinese so saved for tonight:D
Have a good day & weekend everyone:wave:Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

Awwwwww Lillibet, LOVE your new avatar ... Isn't he looking grown up?! ... It must be his birthday next week!

Morning all
Lillibet - lovely piccy of Spud - hasn't he grown so quick!!!!
Vicky and Ajax - Hope everything goes well tomorrow - best of luck to all of you.:j
Rzl - I think I'd be camping in the HA's offices until they give you a decision...you can borrow my kids to take with you - it might speed the process up with 2 boisterous girls jumping about...:D
Hugs to those in need.
Nothing OS planned today at all - we're all up, showered and dressed (a major achievment for this time of the morning during the holidays) and we're off out in a bit for a treat day....pizza hut lunch followed by the cinema (air conditioned so we'll all freeze).
This evening's dinner will probably just be a picky affiar after stuffing ourselves with pizza, DH has a portion of lasagne left from last night as he's at work and gets to miss the pizza.
No plans at all for the weekend, given up cutting the lawn, it's just dying so what's the point in making it worse.....washing and ironing all upto date(ish) and I'm hoping we'll get to the beach.
Hope everyone has a lovely day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
