Just prepared a huge tray of lasagne that we will have before visiting my dad tonight at the hospice.

Washing is on the line and have some letters to take to the post office along with two books that I have sold on amazon.

    Afternoon All,

Thoroughly p****d off this arvo. We applied for a 0% cc a few days ago and today have had a letter stating "Unfortunately we are unable to issue you with a cc at present. We asked credit reference agencies about you and the people you have a financial link with. The information they provided was used in our decision making. We recommend that you get a copy of this information........blah blah blah" So anyway, we applied in DH's name as I dont work therefore have no income etc etc. I assume that this means the info they refer to is about me. Now, I have never had a bad debt, a couple of late payments on an adams card once which were paid in full when I realised I'd forgotten them. I've had cc's in the past and a loan, mortgage etc, again all paid off in full. We've never been turned down before. Does anyone think it might be something to do with the house move. Either the big mortgage or possibly previous owners here????? The couple before us were young and ran into money trouble, could there be some sort of black mark against the address???????????????????? Does anyone know a better forum to post the question on?????

Today I had playgroup, which I really did not fancy going to due to lack of sleep, but as I help run it I had to turn up. Took the single pushchair as ds(age 3) HAS to get more used to walking. He was fine there but after 3 hours running around was knackered on the way home. Cue me trudging up the hill with a full pushchair, bags from playgroup and ds on one hip, it was a bit
15_2_138.gifand I am now totally wacked!

Nowt on this arvo, thank goodness. Am being really lazy, though have just had to remove marker pen from the newly painted living room walls, many thanks to dd(age1) and dd(age3) who gave her the sodding pens 4_2_203.gif.

I am going to calm myself with some VERY LOUD music and soup making. The kids are happily watching arerun of "Go Diego" in the front room so I can just get on with it hopefully.

    Love to all,
    Al.

KiwiChick : How frustrating about the CC, I do know that CC companies can be a bit funny about the fact that you've lived in a house for such a short period of time. I saw a link a while ago on one of the other bits of MSE about a free trial which enabled you to see your credit file. I'll see if I can find it again for you.
