Hi everybody!Just popped into the library so that I could say hello to everyone. My lappy is still in the lappy hospital - they are worse than useless at getting back to me about it. I do know that they think it requires a new CD/DVD drive thingy, but tbh I am surprised since I have rarely used it! So I'm going to retrieve it later today and then give it to some other computer place to have a look.Big apologies but I haven't had time to look back over the threads properly. I do know however that manicdays is now married to Morten Harkett! Congratulations manicdays, I was wondering where he was hiding! Bargain Rzl - I am sitting here trying to type with my fingers Xed for you for your flat. If you've still got my mobile number send me a text when you hear otherwise I'll go potty not knowing. At the moment there is an electrician at my house putting up lots of light fittings - front door light, electric doorbell, sitting room ceiling and wall light, two spots in the kitchen, light in the bathroom and a chandelier thingy in the hall - how much you might ask. Don't ask I say...most were reduced, end of line and so on but still came to over £300...and that's without paying the bloke who's doing the work. I've also ordered blinds for my entire house - I've got 12 windows (that's counting French windows and the two glass panels on either side of the front door). Again that is a sorry looking sum coming out of my account..nearly £400. I need to go shopping for carpet too - the upstairs is still bare floors. I would sand and seal but the floors are those crappy big bits of hardwood rather than lovely floor boards, so it definitely needs to be covered. Looks like I am going to have spent over a grand this week....I was going to buy some shoes but looks like I'll just have to polish my old ones. I see we have a new person...hi there Topher, very nice to meet you! I think I am going to have to go...I've put the car in a space where you're allowed to park for free for one hour. I'm too tight to pay the 30p per hour in the car park! Well, I was bringing in a load of clothes to one of the charity shops... I'm going to go to a shopping centre now...a nice air conditioned shopping centre...and have a browse then go for a nice cup of tea. I don't want to be in the house while Mr Electrician is there - not that there is anything wrong with him, but it's just a bit, ya know, awkward...Has Mushy Peas been around, or JW (Jo from Bath), or R.Mac - the last time I remember seeing a post from R.Mac was to say that she was going to meet her b'friend's mother. Hmm, I hope that went OK...Anyways, nice seeing you all again, I'll be back properly soon I hope.SnowyOwl

    Hi all
I dropped hubby at work & went straight to Asda, was there by 7:30 so it was still cool. They are having problems with there freezers so had to paddle round bits of the shop. I went to get money out of the hole in the wall & the display told me I was £16 overdrawn, but that I could draw out up to £800!!! Very strange, but as I had just been paid I withdrew enough money to get my shopping & will keep an eagle eye out incase I get charged. I spent £133.56 for 5 weeks which works out at approx £27 for 2 of us for 3 meals a day. I was pretty pleased with this.
    Hugs to all.

    Morning all,

Had a productive morning i have wraped up all the christmas pressies i have brought so far and written them down in a book under each family members name along with how much each pressie cost.

Planning to take the children to St. Ives after lunch to have a look around the shops and have a cream tea by the river.

You make me feel feel better. I wrapped most of mine in February and couldn't confess that anywhere else but here.:rotfl:

Hyia Snowy! Ow, can see you're no longer logged on, but if you do read this later, I was just wondering if Mr Ted was back yet? Sorry if I've missed a post - last I knew he'd gone and come back after a leave of absence once - and then done another overnight stint. You were still waiting for his return....

Churchmouse - re lowering the pedestal... I'm not very good with heights :D
Nah, to be honest your support and encouragement has meant a lot, so thanks hun. Really glad the welsh cakes are doing well - I do think Mr CM needs to treat you to a proper 'llechwen' though if he wants more....
I manage to have half a dozen or more cooking at a time on mine - makes them much quicker. Funnily enough I had planned on making some this morning - but as it's still hot and sunny I've been preping my newly 'reclaimed' bit of soil for some 'erbs :D It's going to be lovely as it's right under my office window so going to grow some really fragrant stuff there.
Twink - please keep nagging me about that lettuce. I'm the worst procrastinator there is.
Moggins - hope you've had a fab day at Westmidlands. I'm going to need you to kick my derrier into shape shortly as all this 'landscape gardening' 36_11_6.gif has meant my home has slipped somewhat. Looking forward to the 17th too if you're still up for it :D

Off for a shower and then to try my newest experiment in the BM 'malted loaf'. Then it's darling rock star 15_1_111.gif DS2 to band practice, and the rest of us to garden center. I think I'll treat the other two as they've been such a good help in the garden. I really couldn't have done it without them, bloomin angels they are.
