Hi Ticklemouse, I've missed you!:D Just didn't feel I know you well enough to demand an explanation!:rotfl:
Guessed you were now heavily embroiled in the world of "big business"!;)
When do we learn what it is, or has dopey missed that already?:o
Anyway good to see you back, and blow to Mr TM, his books are nowhere near as important as your enterprise!:T :rotfl:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Morning.
Another early one here for me. Woken through the night with lightning and strong winds blowing the curtains like sails. I had to get up and shut all the windows, but i don't think it rained. It has for about 10 minutes this morning, enough to make the cats run in.
I have someone coming to read the water meter this morning, so hopefully they will be more with it than the aerial guy yesterday who just couldn't be bothered to do what we want him to do, saying that DH should be able to do that. As i pointed out, i'm 6 months pregnant, with a house that is torn to pieces, and not enough time for an already busy DH to do everything. I think DH is going to deal with it today.
i spent 3 hours sorting through the boxes of baby clothes that my sister sent. Job for today is to move it all upstairs out of the way and try to make it look smaller than it is. I have some washing to do, so i may need to use the TD. I also think i might fill the car up with things that i want to take back to school, and then do that this afternoon or tomorrow. That's one way of tidying up!! :rotfl:
This week has gone far too quickly up to now. Why does that always happen when you are off work??
catowen - you are teaching your kids. Not laziness at all. :T Mine will get the same treatment from an early age.
pooky - sounds like your neighbours are grumpy. What harm were you doing??
Moggins - sorry to hear about the car. And you managed to drive it yesterday all that way with no problems.
BRZL - if you have news today, let us know quickly. I'll be waiting.
Prudent - sounds as though you need the same motivation fairy i do. I sat and wrote a list of jobs i want to do in the school hols, and i just keep trying to do the normal plus at least one a day. I am still fairly shattered though from the end of term as it just didn't seem to wind down like it normally does this year.
best go and try and get on anyway. Otherwise i'll be sat on here for hours.

Morning All,
No rain here either, we had thunder and lightning all night lond but not a single drop of rain.
Today will be mostly spent...................being REALLY lazy. Did so much cleaning and tidying these last few days that last night I helped myself to a bottle of wine (ok, so it was 2 really) and this morning am feeling strangly tired - lol.
The house is still in resonable order considering the amount of people that were here yesterday.
Off now to make LOTS of strong coffee and change the first of this mornings nappies................potty training starts in 12 days - EEEEEEKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!
Hugs and love to all in need,
Back later,

Morning
... Welcome back TM - I missed you, honest
... Well I'm not happy this morning ... Got up specially early (despite a very late night) and left the house at 7:25 for the 7:39 train just so I could be in good time for an 8:30 meeting with my boss and one of the directors ... Had to phone my boss peak-time rates from my mobile cos the train was delayed ... Raced into the office only to find that the bl**dy director hasn't even turned up, or even phoned with an apology ... Some people just think they're too important ... Anyway, rant over - at least it means I can post on MSE
... As you know, today SHOULD BE the day I hear about the flat ... Can't wait ... ageandjo, I can't actually remember what others have already said to you but have you tried the CAB? ... troo, you made me LOL! I know if I lived with either of my parents, I'd be expected to pay my way fully, or at least the "going rate" for a lodger - but where I am at the moment (flea pit and !!!!!! hole that it is) I've got a cushier deal, as my friend owns the house outright and doesn't need much of a contribution, so it's been like living with a VERY generous parent and has enabled me to crack on with my savings, as you know! ... Am just sick and tired now of having to live with half a fridge-freezer and half of THE ONLY kitchen cupboard, a leaky shower which has to be coaxed several times per session to produce any hot water at all, cat hair everywhere (they're not allowed in my room but it GETS everywhere) and a south-west facing bedroom which in the recent weather has been like walking into a Thermos flask of an evening ... Anyway ... got to go ... I've been typing this for 15 mins and the director STILL hasn't turned up  ... I wonder why I bother sometimes ... See you later, and I'll let you know the moment I hear anything about the flat ... Rzl xx

Morning all
Twink - um, my lettuce? I think it's doing really well.... in it's packet.:o
Right - that's something I WILL do today.
Troo - I love your tactics! TBH £30 per week isn't much at all. When I left home (blimey, about 17 years ago now) that is what most parents 'charged' for at home working youngsters. With inflation etc.....:p
Topher - how old is your pup and what type? (sorry if I've missed in another thread)
Ageandjo - big hugs. I'm totally lost by what your HA are up to, and it must be so stressfull for the two of you. I hope it's resolved soon.
Churchmouse - miss something big? Well, I did post a little something on yesterdays. Boy was it lonely on here last night - everyone had gone to bed! ? ahh - reading on you've read it, lol
Tickle mouse - I am sooo jealouse of your pukka pads! I do have a lovely office however... Best decorated/furnished room in the house!
Pink Winged - good to see your back, hope you had a great hols. Was thinking of you last night when I played on the 'you know what'
Blimey - loads of posts allready!
Went to sleep last night with the sound of the drill running through my head - The walls were so stubborn yesterday I had to start with the smallest bit and work my way up gradually. Why is nothing ever simple?
Rain was forecast for this morning, but no sign of it as yet. You greedy lot keeping all to yourselves again?
Little darlings are allready at it - totally lost count of what round it is.
Was feeling a little 'blue' when I first logged on, but thanks to reading all your posts feel a bit better now I've skimmed through all the posts.
Cuppa has gone cold while I read them and typed this, so best go chuck it in the microwave and replan my day according to the 'change' in the forecasted weather.
Love and hugs to all,

Good Morning All
No rain here as far as I know and its still warm and muggy.
Been up a while and done some banking as my clients paid early today which was good news as am on holiday next week. Also 2nd bit of good news is that finally I finished my end of year paperwork, I actually do 2 as do the oh's as well. All ive got to do is take it down the post office and send it recorded delv to the accountant. That is such a big weight off my mind.
Because of the above did no housework or ironing yesterday. In a min gonna jump in the shower then do some more business paperwork and put some washing in. Am then going to Nans in London this pm with DS, DD staying at home with her dad. I hope to come back late enough to miss MIL who is 'popping' round and have budgeted for a indian takeaway tonight from a local indian which is doing a 2 for 1 special.
Hope to do my ironing tonight as tomm need to do a load of invoices which I would normally do next week.
Anyway best get off.
Ajax and Vicky - how are the nerves?
PP - hope you are having a good day today.
See you later0 -
Morning all.......(((((HUGS))))))))to those who need them...and everything crossed for RZL today..........
We got the shower repaired last night, the fuse had blown, the electrician is coming back tomorrow to change the fuse box for trip switches......
Woke at some unearthly hour to sheet lightening and thunder, quickly nipped down and took the plug and arial out of the TV and disconnected the computer although I do have a surge protector on that. OH says we have had 4mm of rain overnight........ don't ask, he has a weather station and keeps all sorts of statistics..drives me mental but keeps him happy.
Sun is just coming through, need to shut the windows and draw the curtains before it has time to heat up the pleasantly cool bedroom.......
Nothing planned for today, off to sit in the garden and drink my coffee..... OH playing bowls this afteroon.... tomorrow giving a lesson to my friend on the complexities of using a computer (blind leading the blind comes to mind!!!!!)
Enjoy your day.................
