We're back!! I did it
A very difficult start to the day and an almost accident on the way back but we've had a lovely day.
I hit a go-cart wheel placed in the middle of the road and thought from the noise I had destroyed the underneath of the car, but bar a few scrape marks there doesn't seem to be any obvious damage and she got us there and back. Then I pulled in for petrol and a guy pulled in behind me and told me my brake light was out. I pulled into a National Autocentre place 200 yeards up the road and bless them, they had it fixed within 5 minutes and refused to take any payment at all
We had a lovely (but hot) time at the Water Park, we'll definitely go there again. Then I made a split second decision at a roundabout to come home a slightly longer but more picturesque and cooler way and as I pulled off the roundabout there was a huge pileup in the lane that I should have been in! Something was looking after me today
Never mind, West Midland Safari Park tomorrow and we are going by coachOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

I quickly shoved my hair into a ponytail and plonked my sunglasses on my head, hoping that would cover up any remains. Then I worried that everyone could see it, til I got to work and could go to the toilets where there's a mirror so I could sort it out

Sorry Troo, can't help :rotfl: at that.
Home from work now but still far too hot and humid.
Spoke to DD, she was offered a 3 day modelling job yesterday (told you she was very beautiful) with Vidal Sassoon but had to turn it down because she's only been in her present permanent post a couple of months and can't have time off yet:mad: .
Must go and empty the WM and refill. Have friends coming tonight for our weekly (if possible) gabfest. We've been meeting since our children were babies 23 years ago, I was not much older then than DD is now. I can't imagine her having babies yet:eek: .

troo wrote:That happened to me earlier too. Except it wasn't rain, it was bird poo and it landed on my freshly washed hair just as I was about to step onto the bus   :rotfl:

Guess what guys?
I've finished!!!!
I'm so thrilled it's unbelievable. Ok, so next door had to whine about which way round the fence was - even though I've given her the decent side, but I've got it up and it looks ok. I will post a piccie as soon as I've sussed out my new phoneGlad you asked Catowen as I really want to show you all - sad or what!:rotfl:
I think I've even sussed out how to tackle the remaining 'gap' (long story, will be easier to explain with piccies) and, I may even be attempting to make my own gate out of the remaining panel :money: . Now how OS is that.
Only skimmed the posts this eve, so appols if I miss anything important ....
cha97michelle - Men eh? I've yet to master living with one so can't offer any good advice, but (hugs) to you.
BargainRzl - I'm so excited for you! Fingers are well and truly crossed (makes hammering a bit difficult though!)
Catowen - My DS2 had the little 'visitors' last week - I''ve got a fantastic comb on prescription thanks to some info tootles had posted on this forum. IT's the only comb I've ever known to actually get the 'nits' out as well as the lice. Ooo! my head is itching again!!!
Churchmouse - me? an inspiration? To do what? Ah! Watch gardening programmes no doubt :rotfl:
Lisa aka Mrs Morten Harket - congratulations to you both
Well, best go feed my darlings (I know, bad mum, but I've only one pair of hands and they did have a lush lunch)
Hugs to all,

Hi all it is roasting hot here at the mo, got all windows open as well! lo did not sleep well last night, keeps having juice from his bottle, will have to wean him off it somehow.
He was waking up every hour then decided to wake up at 6am! wouldn't mind that time if he had slept all night!
Went to tesco just before nine and there were loads of spaces, normally there isn't as they are doing up the store, not many bargains though! got the kids their schoolwear except the trousers, might get that from asda, will wait and see.
Had my boys bunkbed delivered today and a mattress for the single bed for when lo goes into a big bed:j
Heaved 3 mattress up the stairs, was heavy and had to manouver through the stairgates too! hubby is making up the bed tomorrow as he has the mornings off at the mo.
Relaxing time now, think i will get a cold drink and an ice lolly! to cool myself down

Evening all
Had a lovely day followed by a family splash in the pool - the clouds came overhead and the thunder was trying to rumble loud enough to make an impact. We actually got told to be quiet by a neighbour as we were all laughing so much at making a whirlpool in the pool... Some people have no sense of fun - it wasn't even 8pm....hardly disturbing anyone.
Hope you've all had a great day and managed to cool down somewhat."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
So much for an early night, all the neighbours gathered in the street because some little s**ts decided to kick in the doors of all the cars parked down the street
The police actually turned up within a decent time! Going to try and get some sleep now.
