Printed off a flavoured vodka recipe which I might try.

just had abit of a 'fall'..went to asda with daughter..never good!!!

spent £20+...however, this wasnt 'normal' shopping, so i'm going to not add all of it-or indeed very little...was stuff like-bottle of wine-for my fortnightly night out £2, bottle for husband £4 (morgan spiced+coke), as abit of a treat for him while match is on..flea collar £2, bottle of coke-incase husband doesnt lik the morgan spiced ready made £1.50ish, bottle of dr pepper for daughter as both me and her dad were having something in drinks line £1..so that's £10.50, couple of bars of choc 72p...and 3 packets of bulbs reduced to £1 each..£14.50+..then a coup[le of bottles of drinks for husbands packed lunches, £1.20, bottle of vimto-with a voucher on it claim the cost back £1.50..cat biscuits-he's really struggling with fur balls so its time to put him back on the iams for furballs..huge big ball of fuzz he is! (another £1.90), so thats approx £16...god knows what the rest went on tho!
    Budget for Jan/Feb £240 per 4 weeks
Week 1-£52  Week 2-£75
    Week 3-£60.66 :confused:Week 4-£29.98 Total=£217.58
    w/c 18th Feb: £6.50

I can now breathe a sigh of relief. ~The rellies have gone home. I do love them, but my two nephews are quite spoilt and demanding, and my sister just lets them get away with things like walking round spilling pop, sliding down the stairs, scaring the life out of the cats. I made a point of saying, when i get my new furniture, you won't be able to do this. I feel more exhausted from disciplining them. My baby will be told from an early age what is unacceptable.

She also brought me 6 boxes of baby clothes from my other sister, so i guess i will have fun sorting that out. At least Dh can'tcomplain at me as i haven't 'bought' it. - thanks by the way catowen for moral support for DH. I notice his selfishness more when i am at home all day, and then he expects me to pick up a lot of the jobs, which i don't mind too much, but just expect a level of consideration. He's not that bad really but like all DH's, he certainly has his moments.

The aerial guy should be around at 4, so hopefully his quote is reasonable and we can get him booked in this week or next, and then my DIY will be well underway. :T

I am missing out on the thunder storms, so if anyone has any going spare, send it this way.

hope the peaceful start to the hols for most of you is long lasting. At this point i would happily join anyone who has a paddling pool.

BRZL - i still have my fingers crossed for you, and if persistence is rewarded you will be top of the queue.

Could do with some of that rain over here! Thunder is rumbling overhead so maybe soon. Seems to be hotter than ever today! Phew!!

DD much better today, ate scrambled eggs with frankfurter sausages cut up and mixed in. She still can't cope with anything citrus flavoured etc as her mouth is still very raw. She goes back to London tonight and back to work tomorrow (part time at first as she can't do much telephone work yet!)

I have a large cupboard to empty of clutter but it is too hot so hopefully later. Much of it needs to go to a charity shop. Then we are off to buy a bathroom suite in the sales.

Well off to get more water to drink!

We just had some thunder here, I was out in the garden getting some salad for tea tonight... then, all of a sudden, this strange liquid stuff began to come down from the sky! Not enough to get anything very wet, though.
I think it's what, in the dim and distant past, we used to call rain.

probably not enough of it to dignify itself with such a name... perhaps spits and spots would be more correct. .. wait... I think there was another raindrop..............

Home from the hospital.........it seems I have a sensitive bladder, something that can happen to post menopausal ladies........nothing untoward, he did offer me a cystoscopy, but I think we will wait until I have had some treatment........

SSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOO............i have to take two further lots of medication. I have an appointment with my GP next week and she should have the result of the test I had........I was asked if I minded 3 men being in the room......when you have had 4 children, men looking at your nether regions is not a problem!!!!!! The consultant was very nice and thorough, a bit ignominious sitting with your feet on a box because you are too small to resch the floor......but thats that, no explanation for the cystitis.....but no obvious underlying problem.

It is very hot still, sitting in the cool, but not much breeze.......
