Good morning everyone,
PP - :grouphug: glad you are sounding a bit more positive this morning, i know a little about Lupus (my Aunty has it, although it attacks her joints and lungs, not blood) and i think you do amazingly with such a horrible disease!!! So glad you are going to be able to get away for a break next week, hope the weather stays good for you xxxxxxxxxxx
Well, not much planned today, have 1 little one here, and 2 older ones, so might go for a walk to the park, as they all enjoy that!!! Might make some cakes as well, as that ALWAYS goes down well!!!!
Need to do some cleaning, although im still waiting to hear from Morphy Richards about my hoover (the one that caught fire last week!!!! ) dont want to buy a new one in case they are prepared to replace it for me, so the hoovering consists of me on my hands and knees with a dustpan and brush!!!
Right, going to do something, little one should be here any minute now.
Have a good day everyone
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Kiwichick - good to know I'm not the only one with an uphill struggle against mess in the house. I do love my darlings - but it's like having two blizards and one avalanche going through the house every day (see my sig)
Shez - I used to do the same something terrible so I know how horrid it can be. Great big hugs to you.
PP - More great big hugs for you. Glad to hear that you seem a bit better in spirit today, you bounce back well no matter what is thrown at you. Good on you hun. I did post a message to you last night on yesterdays board, but afraid it was rather late.
Catowen - Childminders like you a real blessing. My one consolation when I worked during the hols was that my children probably did more with my minder than they would if I stayed home. You're worth your weight in gold.... ok, please can I have some cakes
I've got all windows and doors open this morning to give the house a quick airing while it is cool enough. I'd really like to get the fence finished today and perhaps get the other fence around the side of the house at least well under way. I'm really proud of myself for doing this - especially as we came across a few 'challenges' that even got the local 'handyman' stumped
I'm almost hopefull that my garden might look 'nice' when I've finished - perhaps all those hours watching garden revamp programmes will finally pay off? See I knew I was doing something usefull
Anyway, bread in the B/M and a cuppa going cold at my side.
Hugs and best wishes to all

:hello: Goooooooood Morning, fellow OS'ers, old and new
No time to hang about this morning, we're off to help our friends with clearing the pond area of their garden today, another large juniper needs removing, so I'll need to keep my arms covered this time (last time, I got scratched to blazes!) It's an hour each way so it will take up the bulk of the day until late afternoon. If the boys get fed up with the gardening aspect, they can go exploring the woods behind the garden
I'm taking lunch with us, so they don't need to worry about feeding my "empty legged" ladsHave made a tuna and mixed bean pasta salad and made up a couscous salad concoction which is best described as a Couscous Waldorf :rotfl:
It's getting very grey overhead, so predicting rain, but won't let that deter our plans!
Tonight there is a free concert on with a great band, really upbeat and toe-tapping stuff, followed by a fireworks display, so we'll be having a siesta after I gardening jaunt and off to enjoy the free entertainment (sometimes there are advantages to living in a tourist town)
D10yo is now in limbo ... officially too old for primary school and not yet quite old enough for senior  He came out of school laden with goodies!!! An "Achievement" Award ( :j ); a wonderful compilation CD from his friend from Prom night with them all dressed in their finery and the stretched car; a signed football for a project he'd completed (subject? Er ... football!! ) obviously his signed t-shirt from his teachers and peers and finally ... an 'attitude' (where did *that* come from?).
Certificate on display, CD viewed and stored; football displayed on bedroom shelf; 'attitude' knocked on the head
House airing; BM off; one wash load out (don't mind if it rains on it, free softener).
B: Boiled eggs and soldiers
L: see abovepicnic style supper for our evenings entertainment
((hugs)) for all those who need them.
Take care, sttay hydrated, keep cool .... iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit's .... SUMMER! :j :j :j  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Good morning all!
Kaz - I'm now down to just one storm raging through the house (from the original 3) - but the tornado will be returning for the weekend! (DD, OH & DGDs!!!)
PP - glad you are feeling a bit better: hope you feel encouraged, too. Have a lovely holiday. There is so much to do in the Sussex area. I don't know Pagham, but Chichester is lovely.
Not much planned here today, still getting house ready for Saturday. I need to dismantle a desk & move a wardrobe and try and do something with DS1's bedroom full of stuff that he doesn't want me to throw away, but at the same time doesn't want to have where he lives - they haven't got the room for it. Not so sure we have either!!!
Have a good day everyone!0 -

Looking foward to tomorrow DD, DS and I are going on a boat trip and a picnic with our old toddler group.

Morning all
Glad u r feeling a bit better today Penny. x
Kids are being little monsters this morning. They have both already been 'severely' told off & its only just gone 8am. Oh Joys 12 hours till bedtime.........
Today the entire house could do with a once over. Will concentrate on bathroom & kitchen & give the living room a lick & a promise (I love that saying!)
Kids have gone quiet, they will learn not to be so nasty to me (esp when I am pre-menstral!)
Oh I'm hot!!!
Take care all

Good morning everyone...
Picked my sister up from the airport yesterday and took her out for drinks to meet some of my friends. We were home at 11 and tried to go to sleep. But oh had a gig and didn't get home til 1 so we got woken up when he got here. Had to get up at 6 for work and don't feel like I've got much sleep...
Four days left till the wedding!!! I'm getting excited and nervous at the same time. I feel like Ive organised everything but somewhere in the back of the head these thoughts keep creeping up that there is something terribly important I must have forgot  It confuses me!!!
Hope everyone is having a nice day, my office is sooooo hot, I want windows, and air conditioning!!
