How fab! That reminds me of the time I got a letter from Kenneth Branagh ;) Everyone thought I had gone completely mad but I think he is great and I admire him so much. I thought it was the greatest thing ever and have even thought about framing it... But after lots of protests from oh I had to hide it in my letter box...

I still treasure the autograph i got from david attenborough when i was 8. :D

*clean all the windows SOD THAT
    *dust everywhere SOD THAT
    *hoover everywhere DONE
    *mop all floors DONE
*cook the quiches, bread rolls and cakes for tomorrows lunch DONE
*inflate, clean and fill the paddling pool NEIGHBOUR HAS BOTH PUMP AND HOSE & SHES NOT HOME:mad:

So the general gist of things is that I havent really done anything! Went into Leighton this morning on the bus, really good fun that was with 3 kids under 4:rotfl: almost as much fun as it was trying to control the 2 that werent in the pushchair . And all that cause DH had forgotten his wallet this morning . Got home at 1pm and neighbour and her 2 kids came over 5 mins later, followed closely by other neightbour and her one. Cue arguing kids, mess everywhere, biscuits ground into the new carpet and me completely stressed! Got rid of them an hour ago.

I have the driving lesson at 6.30 and wish I could cancel but they charge full whackfor cancelled lessons so it would means kissing goodbye to £40. Kids are in the bath in an effort to keep them awake, am hoping the will be in bed when am baclk from lesson which means I can put the laundry away and iron in peace.

    Tired kiwi :(

    Off to make coffee, al.

........and to top it all off dd2 has come in to the front room for a cuddle straight from the bath and peed all over me and the settee................. :wall:

    Vicky how fab :j

I get like that when chasing cricket players .... OH thinks I am a stalker sometimes.

Had a lovely morning with my best mate, her little boy is just 6 weeks old and very well behaved, managed a great chat.
Spent some time with my mum and managed a quick trip round the BIG tesco's. Managed to get 2 xmas presents and some reduced fruit.

OH has just phoned to say he's on his was home, so better go and tidy up the breakfast bits.

    x :hello:

Amanda - my OH just rolls his eyes when I whip my pen and programme out at rugby matches. It got quite bad when I got over-excited when one rugby player's mum smiled at me in the street (cos I was wearing the team shirt  :D)...... Ajax - we're evidently twins if we obsess about famous people AND we're getting married on the same day! ;)........ Speaking of weddings, the MIL has struck again! OH's big sister and BIL are ringing the bells on Saturday, however MIL had said that big sister can't ring because she's pregnant. So, we get another ringer in - only to be told today that big sis is ringing and always was going to ring......... Did I tell you about OH's twin sis only telling her parents that she's got a boyfriend? He's been invited to our wedding, so she had to tell them. Anyway, it turns out that she's been seeing this bloke for 6  years and not told her parents. We'd known about him for 2 years. I understand why twin sis didn't tell her parents as MIL gets over excited at the thought of weddings and more grandchildren. She was getting so annoying about us having children ie "looking forward" to when we can give her some. NO, NO and NO. Talk about pressure.................. onwards and upwards again............. more table plans to do...........

    Hi everyone!
Well it's another hot one here today but I'm back at work earning money rather than spending it!!
The small person has finished today. It seems amazing that he'll go into year 4in September. Where does all the time go? The littlies will look even tinier next to him than they do already [they seem to shrink the minute they're put into a school uniform].
Small person will be a little stressed no doubt the first couple of days as he's really weary and he always struggles with a change in routine. However, he'll keep himself busy as he's never short of a thing to do. He's just informed me that he's done a design for his bedroom. I found a fab book last week on thrifty makes for the home [£1.50 charity shop find]some of the ideas which I thought that I could adapt when I come to redecorate my kitchen in the autumn. One of them is buying plain wooden knobs, coating them in ready made filler and then sticking bits on them. Once they're dry you can paint them. Anyway the little dear has snaffled it...I'm quite happy for him to do some pictures which we can screw onto his cupboard but I have drawn the line at repainting the radiator and shelves.....an 8yo being let loose with a paintbrush. I don't think so!!:rotfl: :rotfl: Anyway should keep OH and himself out of mischief whilst I'm at work:D
Am off for a  at the local hostelry this evening with friends so cheerio for now!

Hugs to ageandjo and elona emot-hug.gif and anyone else that needs them.

Master troo started work yesterday, he's a complete nightmare. I thought he thought he knew everything before, well you should hear him now  All I hear is how he works harder, longer and faster than me, he keeps starting arguements and trying to cause a row between me and mr troo.

I know he's adjusting to having to work, and he gets treated like an adult after having years at school being treated like a kid, but he's now on my last nerve

I got nothing done today, apart from 3 loads of washing before 6am this morning  It's still on the line, I haven't got the energy to get it in. I came home from work at about 11.30, had a sandwich and a cuppa then fell asleep til 5. Off for a shower in a mo then I'm going to bed, I'll take the lappy with me so I might log on again a bit later :D

Chipps & DH Congratulations! I think it's really wonderful when people make marriage work. Hope you're both very proud as well as very happy.
Queenie - Hope the big day went well for all of you, and plenty of kleenex were at hand when needed.
Grrr - had manage to almost 'blank out' the QVC in nickie's post, but shez, you've reminded me!!!!
Ageandjo - Huge hugs to you. Life with neighbours like that can be so awful.
Kiwichick - hope you don't mind but your post made me chuckle :D IT's kinda a representation of my week so far.
Blood tests went fine this morning - came straight home and put the kettle on :D Sent DS to the corner shop for some biccies, we munched through those and then I remembered how awfull I feel when I eat too much rubbish!
I've spent most of today 'waiting' for it to cool down so that I can continue with putting up my garden fence. It's only an itsy bitsy gap, but what a pallaver! On the plus side I've learnt rather a lot in the process.
Anyway, what I'm struggling with is what to do in this heat? We're all very fair haired and skinned and not good in the sun, so can anyone suggest the best FREE things we could do, so that the children have actually done something this hols (other than help me with the fence). Preferably I'd like something we can do in the day that would leave me with time and energy to carry on with the garden when we get back....?
Hope someone can help - and if you guys can't then I'm scuppered!

as for days out, are there any museums that are interesting or we have stratosphere in aberdeen, not much use to you, but its a hands on science museum and great fun maybe you have something like that or look in your library and see if there are any schemes on for the summer or your local council website, ten pin bowling, swimming etc but i am sure the hot days wont be lasting much longer, we are having rain tomorrow i think
