tra wrote:Hi, thought I would drop by and say good morning. I have just started reading the OS board. I have given notice on the little boy I childmind for as I want to have my 2 year old to myself! So, every penny will count from now on. Will be worth it though. :j
Welcome .. Enjoy your time with your little boy. Its much more precious than money and you will get lots of support with the finances here.0 -
Queenie the first and last days at primary school are always such a milestone in your child's life. I was so emotional on both for my daughter.
Troo I have the dusty bread maker too!
Trying to catch up around the house and do some gardening today. I have done a lot of work on the house this summer, and now have a couple of rooms decorated and some long standing jobs done. Trouble is I haven't really got into the usual holiday jobs like tidying out cupboards and the garage etc. Back to work soon, so need to get my finger out. Too much time on mse0 -
Morning everyone!
Oh crumbs, it's so hot already! But really must put the hoover round at some point.
Chipps - happy Anniversary! Hope you and DH have a lovely day, and on Saturday too. How lovely of your DD to organise the food!
Queenie - (((HUGS))) It really does seem like the end of an era when the last one leaves Primary school, doesn't it? May you have very enjoyable hols with your lovely boys.:A
Catznine - your poor DD! I do hope she feels better soon, and that your friend is okay.
Penny-Pincher - Hope you are okay hon (((HUGS)))
Kiwichick - so...er...bit of a busy day planned then! Don't overdo it in this heat!
Funky Fairy - poor you, I remember holidays when the children did nothing but fight! Might be worth trying Rescue Remedy - it always makes me feel better even though there seems no reason why it should. (((HUGS)))
Scuzz (((HUGS))) I don't see why you shouldn't finish your shift at one o'clock and teel them you're having your lunch hour! After all, you are entitled to one.
Ageandjo - so sorry to hear you're being harassed! I take it this is because of your OH' s spina bifida. Some people really are pig-ignorant - though on reflection, that's not fair to pigs (((HUGS)))
Kaz and Twink - hope blood tests went okay.
Moggins - I can understand your worries, but I'm sure the rifle shooting would be very well organised and supervised.
Okay, better go and try to do some housework! The house is terribly cluttered, partly because DH collects model trucks etc and they keep arriving by post and they seem to be taking over the house! I think his obsession might be connected with the fact that he's not very mobile or something. I wouldn't mind, if only we had room for the darned things!:p
Hugs to all, try to keep cool and have plenty to drink!

Gppdmorning everyone,
I am on DH's laptop here. My computer keeps crashing  so have given up with it. This is where I miss YS. He is a whizz and would have it all sorted in 5 mins. We are all a bit thick here so will have to take it to the repair shop. It's been raining here again. Still quite cool though.
Went for a lovely long walk today between showers. Also made a bran cake. Tastes very healthyin other words needs lots of butter.:D
Chipps Happy 25th. It goes by quickly doesn't it. Enjoy your dinner out and what's to follow.:kisses2:
Queenie Don't forget the tissues. High school is never quite the same.
Tra Welcome to OS.
Kiwi Bet u dont get it all done.Hope the lesson goes well.
I've forgotten everybody else's titbits. But have a great day and hugs to all. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning ... Is it me or is this morning going really slowly? ... Am feeling a bit queasy this morning (not hung over, and DEFINITELY not pregnant, before you ask!) and I must be really tense cos I can't relax my jaw and it's all achy, which is always my first sign of being over-anxious ... My friend managed to get me freebie opera tickets last night :T - I really wanted to go to the show but the ticket prices were ridiculous even by London opera standards, so I was dead pleased, I ended up in a seat I could have (well, I couldn't, but you know what I mean) paid over £100 for  :T ... I had planned on going up to about £30 if absolutely necessary but wouldn't have got a very good seat for that  but as it turns out I didn't have to
... so that's some more money for the savings ... Going out again tonight which will take my mind off waiting to hear about the flat ... It's payday tomorrow ... Although they still haven't sorted out my payrise from my change of job, I should find an annual increment has been applied this month :T which will be VERY useful when I'm trying to budget for the future ... Had some more good money news on Sunday ... The fee for my choir job is going up from £24 a service to £30 ... This is still below the going rate but is the first time it's gone up in the SIX YEARS I've been there, and I can't grumble when it's something that's enjoyable enough that I'd do it for nothing ... Will need to speak to the tax office about it but I have a couple of other things to mention to them as well, so will get them all together and sort all of it out at once ... Right ... VERY busy today ... must go ... Hope everybody's OK - PP are you feeling better this morning? ... Rzl xx

IVYLEAF- It's such a long story but to cut a long story short some neighbours have ganged up on us (3 lots who are all in each others pockets)
Have complained no end about us and everything has been lies, even the HA are being horrible too and that's because one of the neighbours is on the board of directors so they believe her:mad:
I will give you one instance: my OH parked outside on the green to unload some shopping when I wasnt around to do it for him, they took photos of him doing this, actually struggling like mad to even walk let alone carry anything, we got a nasty letter from the HA about this, I replied to them explaining everything but it was not good enough now along with made up lies they want to evict us! The people who complained are able bodied and the do exactly the same as my OH they unload their shopping on the grass, so I took photos of them doing this and nothing has happened, to date I have at least 30 photos of them on the grass and my OH has not been on since.
This is soooo petty I know but there has been so many more lies told about us, i;e our dogs barking til god knows when in the morning and the dogs wernt even here!!
OH is on antidepressants now and I probably should be too. He works, I work, we both try are hardest to acheive better for ourselves, he struggles with his health as you can imagine but I admire him so much.
Typing all this has made me cry again but I suppose it's better to get it off my chest.0 -
Ageandjo,
I know it it hard but don't let them get to you that is what they want.
They are not worth getting all het up and upset over. Sound like bunch of &&&&&& insert your own words as this is a family forum I can't say what I think of people like that.
Need to get on with their own lives rather then spend it hassling people getting on with theirs.
All the best.
Yours

Hi everyone,
ageandjo - I really feel for you. Neighbour disputes are the pits (I work for a local council so I know). I hope you can get things sorted out soon.
Congrats to the chipps.
I'd respond to more people but by the time I get to the end of the thread I forget who's done what, I don't know how you all do it.
Only managed to swish and sipe the bathroom this morning because the paper was late (I have to read the paper while eating brekkie, I can't speak to anyone) and this put out my whole routine.
DS still in bed so I will ring him in a mo and ask him to vacuum the front room and empty the dishwasher.
OH and I trying to plan a holiday for the end of Sept - hopefully driving round Eastern Europe taking in Prague, Krakow, Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna. DD might join us in Pragu and then fly home from Vienna. I'm really excited at the thought of it.0
