Well, im up normal time, but its lovely to know i dont have to rush around, as its now the school holidays YEAH!!!!! Little one due here in a minute, and DS is already up and dressed, even though he doesnt have to be up yet!!!! Have 2 older ones coming today, but they will both be gone by 2.30 (little one 4.30) so hopefully it will be a nice day. As the weather is still good, i expect they will spend most of it outside!!!
So far my only plan is to wash the kitchen floor, and if i get chance, i want to get in the loft and see if there is anything up there for ebay or a car boot sale!!!! (ive pursaded my mum to do one with me when i go up to see them in August!!!)
Right, little one is here and DS wants his breakfast, hope everyone has a lovely day
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
:T Happy Silver Wedding Anniversary Chipps! Hope you enjoy that meal out tonight.
I have joined the ranks of the unslept! Haven't been sleeping well for last 2 days, must be the hot weather and everytime I do get off the landline phone rings. At 2.30 am I got a text on my mobile sent by accident from a friend, it was bad news and meant for her kids so unsettling. Must go phone her in a little while to lend support.
DD has been in a lot of pain and is pretty well spaced out on painkillers. She is still on soups, milkshakes etc., but hopefully soon, once all the bruising has come out she will be able to eat normally again. Yesterday was really bad and we rushed her off to the dentist to have it checked but they assured us that it was just very deep bruising coming out.
Elona - How is your dd getting on?
We are going to have the bathroom replaced (def worse room at the mo with damp on the ceiling and floorboards that need replacing) and they want to start tomorrow! So need to get out and find any bargains in the way of suites, showers and tiles etc., At least we have a downstairs cloakroom so hopefully won't be too disruptive.
Looks like another hot and muggy day so had better get what I can done now.
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Morning
Hugs to Scuzz. They are some pretty serious hours you are working there. No wonder you aren't feeling that appreciated. I would make a serious effort to take your lunch break and get away from your desk. If you keep not having the break, you won't be appreciated any more and you'll just feel worse. My boss made comments about us not using our time effectively as he often works through lunch, but that is his choice and not mine.
chipps - congratulations on your anniversary. I sincerely hope me and DH are happily married still at that stage. It's a real achievement in this day and age.
Well my plans for today are:- have a nice bath this morning.
- drs appointment at 9:10 am. I can't believe it is 2 months since i last saw him for a montoring visit.
- do a 'big stuff' tidy up in the living room and spare room (ie.deal with my ironing pile) as DH has arranged for a guy to come round and look at/move the aerial points tomorrow. Unfortunately he can't remember the time he booked him for. and i had arranged for my sisters to visit with the kids. May have to change that.
- do more washing.
i did loads yesterday but it was stuff that you couldn't see that i had done, IYKWIM.
I'm not quite as fresh today. We were woken up by cats scrapping, and we assumed it was ours - luckily it wasn't, but our two then wanted to come in, so by the time we had got up and dealt with it i was quite awake again.
best get on anyway.
See you all later,
Michelle, xx0 -

What reason do they give for such out of date thinking
I have hourly deadlines (live bulletins) through till 1pm, so that's the first chance I get, and my shift finishes at 2pmComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

Morning All,
Hugs to those of us in need, good luck to those in need and congratulations to those with celebrations.
Today I really need to "pull my finger out" and get on with some sodding work. I did do a mammoth amount of laundry yesterday but only got as far as folding it, didnt iron or put away and have 3 more loads to do today. God bless bed wetting children! Also cleaned the bathroom to within an inch of its life but thats it.
Today I MUST:
*mow the lawn, all 385m2 of it, should take ages and be awful in this heat:rolleyes:
*clean all the windows
*dust everywhere
*hoover everywhere
*mop all floors
*cook the quiches, bread rolls and cakes for tomorrows lunch
*inflate, clean and fill the paddling pool
*make sure I have enough clean/dry towels for the 8 children I have here tomorrow!
*make oodles of veg soup from the organic box that comes today as dopey here forgot to cancel this weeks delivery and we are away for a week come sunday.
*and move the washing line pole, its really blocking the view where it is.
URGH, all this and all I want to do is go to bed. DS has had the most irratic sleeping patterns with this heat so last night I had the sum total of 4.5 hours which has been about the average for the last few weeks. Also have a driving lesson tonight-!!!!!!.
So, for now I will treat myself to another coffee and allow half and hours browsing before I make a start.
Have a good day all,

:hello: Goooooood Morning fellow OS'ers
Strange old day today. It's d10yo's final day at Primary, had his Leaver's Service at the church yesterday (always a tear-jerker) which was the last time to wear his uniform, today being a non-uniform day. Aww, it's a tad sad to see my final 'baby' leave Primary School, between all 5 of them, Primary School, it's functions, meetings et al have been a part of my life for soooo long - the parent/school relationship is never quite the same when they move to Senior School. *sigh*
On a positive note, I'm really looking forward to them both ending school this afternoonD12yo was given an activities programme at school yesterday, produced by the Council, with a diary listing of all events taking place throughout the summer. Quite a number are *free* so I'll be flicking through that shortly so we can have a discussion later today about which appeal/ are do-able. Going to print off an Activity Calendar - bog basic calender from computer programme - filling in all the ideas so we can pick and choose as the mood/availability takes us ... it can be pinned up next to the Boredom Buster Jar :rotfl:
Lots of washing going on today, D12yo brought home all his sports bags ... boys, eh! Want to give the house a quick once over so at least the school hols begin with it looking reasonable!
