Afternoon all.
Just wanted to say a very big thank you to you all, for your help and support over the last few weeks. The funeral went very well and was a lovely and fitting service for my nan.
We had about 20 people come back to my house afterwards, and it was lovely to catch up with family that we don't often see.
I have put the house back in order and have hung the last of the washing out, as we fly to Italy on thursday.
DH and I are off to Milton Keynes theatre tonight to see my hero of comedy Rik Mayall (hence my username) in the New Statesman. Hoping to catch him after for an autograph and a few piccies.
Well better go and get some tea.0 -

Could you buy a white umbrella and trim it with lace yourself - then if it did rain - it would not be such a disaster?
Making home made turkey burgers with HM potato salad and buns for tea before we go to see my dad.
He was being given four units of blood the other day and looked a little bit brighter last night but it has been a blow to be told he will not walk again and is confined to bed.
DD went to see him last night and stratled the nurses with her bandaged face which was black and blue and swollen after nasal surgery three days ago."This site is addictive!"

Iwas having trouble only with this site. I have to get into the router settings and adjust the MTU setting. No I haven't a clue what MTU stands for, DS2 just explained it to feeble-minded me as a package size for transmitting data. He said it has to be sent in bits not all at once and this was the maximum size of each bit. For MSE I had to reduce it down. Then down again when it next failed.
I later found out that DS4 had trouble with a site he was using and had to adjust it UP again, but luckily it doesn't seem to have affected me. I know there were others having problems with just this site and for some of us the common link was BT and PIPEX.They were talking about it on the techie board, but way too advanced for me!!
I expect that's all as clear as mud:D
Thanks, Churchmouse! Have just pm'd you, then carried on reading and found this post from you. We've got BT and Pipex, so that's obviously the problem! Will get DS to have a look on the Techie board

Ivyleaf, this was some time weeks ago, so your DS will have to go back some!! Not sure if it was proved to be anything concrete, just know there were several posts linking the two!! Good luck.
Will go read your pm, I've only just this second logged on!You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0
