    Hi all,

PP I hope everything goes well at the hospital.

Moggins - It's especially disappointing when people around you think you are making a fuss about something trivial when it's a major issue. :grouphug: Hopefully XDH will have time to think about what he's done and be repentant.

Hope you have a happy day Ajax - it looks certain to be good weather.

I'm at work:eek: having a quick break. Had to take dog to be clipped this morning (a very precious and affectionate apricot miniature poodle who really belongs to my DD).

DD was working at the polo Gold Cup yesterday and tells me she put wristbands on Lemar, Darius, Louise Redknapp and Dave Gilmour from Pink Floyd and that she might possibly have her pic in OK mag (she is very beautiful - not a bit like me).

I must sort out the paperwork today DH has left it sitting on the dining room table for 2 weeks after promising it would only be there temporarily, I've left it there to make a point but can't stand it any more!

Hope everyone has a good afternoon and evenoing and that those who couldn't sleep last night have a better night tonight.

    Sue

We are in a lovely wee village called Stewkley, around 5 miles from Leighton Buzzard. I used to go shopping in Bicester when I was nannying in Ascott (WARKS).

Thanks all, XDH has been round and was much more sensible this morning. As far as he was aware DS had only had about 2 inches of beer to perform the toast, he had been unaware of the can of beer that DS had been given too, he thinks he knows who did it and will be having words. He now understands exactly what I am going through with DS and that it's a very different situation to when he has him. That when DS is away from his mates (at his dad's) there is no one to lead him astray and he is essentially well behaved.

We both apologised for the way we behaved last night and things are back to normal now, he's a nice guy really, he can just be a prat when he's drinking, one of the reasons I divorced him as his drinking was just beyond what I found acceptable. I'm not a prude and I enjoy a glass of wine as much as the next person but he has a drink (or 6) most nights and when he drinks he becomes someone I don't like very much.

DH has popped off into town and is going to treat me to a pressie (I asked for a couple of family DVD's). Why do I never ask for perfume or flowers?

Anyone seen anything Of Kaz anywhere? Last time I saw her post she had a really bad headache. Not like her not to have posted since.

    Hello everyone,
Its been harvest time here this week. My dehydrator packed up about 3 weeks ago after only 4 months so I had to send it back and wait for the replacement. It came Friday and I've been drying Cherries,Courgettes, sweetcorn and tomatoes ever since.
I've also been playing with the new sewing machine. My favourite Tshirt which has owls on, was on its last legs so I cut out the owl picture and bought a Tshirt in poundland to applique it onto(OH's idea). The old T shirt was beige and this one is a sort of Army green which is much nicer.
DS is on holiday now ,he has moved his PC downstairs as his bedroom gets too hot for it in this weather. He's much better company when he isn't shut away in his room all day. DD is lolling around trying to keep cool and occupied. She is a bit anxious about 6th form in September as she found some of the others a bit childish and aggressive when she went for the induction .DS says you just have to learn to live with it :(
    Breakfast was weatabix
Lunch was liver pate and salad sandwiches
    Tea will be Stick'n'chew
Well back to the old Grindstone

    What a relaxing day I'm having :D:D:D:D:D

I've not moved from this computer except to make lunch and hang washing out :j:j:j Leaving the dishes to OH, ironing will either be done tonight while watching TV or tomorrow but I've deliberatly left it damp so it will be easier to iron ;)

Spent the day sorting out bookmarks and finding comprehension work for DD to do on Charlie & the Chocolate Factory which is her current reading book from school  Found loads of quizzes, a site where I can make wordsearches up (and prints you out an answer sheet ;) ) and some activities to do. Had a brainwave before about some more activities to keep her entertained over the summer with as few DVD days as possible ;) I'm now off to see if I can find some KS1 maths/groegraphy/history/science stuff to do with her as I don't want to stick to printed books as she'll get bored with them ;)

    Afternoon

Im back from the hospital:rolleyes:....dont really want to talk about it just now, but didnt go too well and fed up with bad news about my health...oh well:p

2 loads of washing done and OH has emptied DW. OH has taken DD to Specsavers to sort her new glasses out. It has cost us £60 on thinning them again, so all in all, even with her bigger NHS voucher (coz shes partially sighted) they ahve still cost us £80:confused: this seem to go up every 6 months now and is getting sooo expensive!!

OH has peeled spuds, and will put them on to part boil in a while. Didnt have a roast yesterday and have to have one at least once a week:o We love our roast dinners.

Received £8 of vouchers throught the post this morning, so are gathering up for another shop at Waitrose later on in the week as they take 50% of whatever you spend. Sounds like Im a chave, but love their quality and if there accepting 50% off....why not:confused:

I do have one question about something one of the consultants said this morning. I need to put on weight, but cant have anything too high in fat, too much dairy doesnt go down well and it has to be protein enriched....any ideas??? Only carbs that go down well are spuds and some rice. It also has to be easy to make and possibly be kept in the fridge? He has suggested flat full sugar coke or lucozade which would give me an extra 700 cals per day.

Thanks for all the well wishes, they are very much apreciated today...as the song says...Had a bad day!!:rotfl:

So whose stupid idea was it to take the week off to decorate

Ah well, we now are window less in the dining room. The day has been spent sanding with DH plastering. We are overheating!

Tonight we are aiming to do some painting ... it's just too hot currently to do it.

Posted my eBay parcels this afternoon, didn't make as much as I was hoping with this lot, but will list some more soon and see how we get on.

    B - Cereal
    L - Pizza
D - lamb and mint sausages with something .....
    S - chocolate! LOL.
