Hi people,
Hugs to you all whether you need them or not
Sat here at work trying to motivate myself to do things, but at the moment just holding myself together is a bit of a challenge.
Due to move to Aus in 5 weeks, have no flight ticket, have my divorce to finish off, have my shop to close down and stock to sell, have all the things at home to deal with... and the OH is ill
He had glandular fever last year, he'd just about gotten to an even keel then he got a bit of a chest infection about a month back... since then he's relapsed somewhat. He's so tired, struggles to eat.. and I'm shoving every remedy and supplement down the poor guys neck I can think of. Yesterday we started him on yakult, and also a small guinness. The yakult was my idea, the guinness was suggested by a jamaican friend, he swears it cures anything. So beware of suggesting remedies to me, because regardless of what it is, if it stands a chance of helping him he'll get it shoved down him.... poor guy. Plus he's getting depressed and feeling like he's never gonna get better, so I'm giving him a lot of love. Just getting so tired myself and bottling up a heap of stress. Do feel better offloading here though.
Wishing you all a good day, and hoping your work goes easy.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Morning all - not had chance to read the thread properly yet this morning.
Spent most of last night sitting in the pool watching the stars, I was just so hot that it seemed to be the only way to cool down.
Woke at 5.30am to a few rumbles of thunder and about 4 minutes of rain - was it worth the effort??? Fell back to sleep and didn't wake until 10am!!! DH had bribed DD's when he got up for work so that they didn't wake me, they were both up dressed and rooms are spotless and they even made me a cup of tea.......mind you they were both horrible last night, over tired and emotional from school - at least they both had the grace to apologise.
We're off out this afternoon so I can take my time this morning, only basic washing up and tidying to do - run a hoover round and get something out the freezer for tea. I did all my ironing yesterday, all the washing's up to date and the rest of the week is free!
Catowen - don't want to make you jealous - but some how I've managed to be "little one free" until next Tuesday (don't you love it when they all take holidays at the same time!!)
Hope you all have a great day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Morning again everyone!
Went back to sleep eventually - only to be woken again by gigantic downpour of rain! (very welcome) although its now like the humid rainforest.
Its was DD who woke up, but DH came downstairs with her and slept in lounge where its much cooler.
Then there was a knock at door 7.15! - my QVC delivery - not christmas stuff - my liz earle!! Ilike her cleanse'n'polish/gentle face exfoliator mainly, although all her stuff smells soo nice - so bought the TSV, which also has her Self Tan Spray (full size) so thought i would give that a try!:D
At work now, waiting for boss to come in and then have a chat about things im not happy with - cant be doing anymore worrying at nite - worst ways if im not happy then i will walk out and leave, hopefully getting my pay first!:(
I cant seem to get motivated these days, when i get home i have something to eat then collapse in chair - anyone else do the same??
I know i should be preparing lunches, etc, but cant be bothered(please give me a kick up the a-se!)
PP - you sound a great mum to me xx - but dont we always do it to ourselves?? I always worry if im giving a proper diet, spend enough time with them etc etc. When is your OH going to Motor Show? we are going on friday. have a good time in pagham.
Bargainrzl - You sound really "buzzy" - am pleased for you, good luck with flat, im sure it will be fine x
CM - is that haze across the SE you cooking your mammoth Roasties???:rotfl:
enjoy your day peeps

Ooooh, Shez, paranoia just got the better of me and I phoned up the housing agent again ... He thinks I'll hear about the flat tomorrow ... Off the record he seems confident on my behalf ... AAAAARGH this is really nerve-wracking!

Hi everyone,
PP - I do feel for you - I felt that I was letting my kids down a lot when they were growing up. Sometimes I would go for weeks on end coming home from work feeding them a meal like fish fingers and then disapearing to bed when OH came home. However, they are now 23 and 20 and without being boastful I couldn't wish for nicer more loving children.
I have always told them how much I love them and how proud i am of them - even now I speak to DD every day and we both end by saying I love you and the same with DS whenever I speak to him on the phone (and in person now he's at home). They certainly don't seem to hold any grudges.0 -
Thanks for all the lovely replies. I apreciate all your lovely comments and am now feeling a little more on par:D
OH is at the Motorshow today Shez...thanks for the tickets;)
SIL will be here soon to pick DD & I up to go back round there house for the afternoon/evening. They have a beautiful house and garden and will be nice to see a different 4 walls...well except from the hospital:rolleyes: Ive always got on with SIL and we both detest the MIL:rotfl: ...and for good reason:D Im looking forward to it.
DD has tried on a few bits we bought for her new uniform at the 2nd hand shop and they fit lovely. The blouses are £14 new each:eek:   ...and I picked up 3 near on BN ones for £1 each;)...have promised her though that we will buy her a new one, but will grab some more when she goes in Sept without anyone seeing us, so she doesnt get embarrassed IYSWIM. We also bought a school skirt (£29 new) for £6 and a PE skirt (£19 new) for £4, but have promised her a new school skirt. I think we are going to get her blazer tomorrow and some other bits. My mum gave us £250 towards the uniform at the weekend, so will get as much as I can and will take into consideration that she will grow abit over the summer too. Managed to buy her 2 pairs of leather shoes for school from Asda last week at £6 per pair-this was there normal price and am very impressed with the quality. I also bought her a pair of Kickers 2 months ago using a voucher code on here for £12...normally £40+, these are a little big but will be perfect for the end of the year. She also needs new knickers, bras and tights.
Managed to get an extension on my essay for a further week thank goodness and have told other SIL that her bank statements will have to wait till next week after I have done my essay.
Cant wait till we go away. Have invited mum and dad for a couple of days and they are coming. I am making an effort but there are huge/mega reasons why there is a rift, and Im sure everyone would back me up if they knew the circumstances and although time can heal somethings, it cant on others-this being one of them.
Im off, have a great day guys.
Hugs
PP

Goodness, what a morning im having!!!! (yes pooky, i am jealous although i have two weeks off at the end of August, so just me and my two then, hurrah!!!!)
First DD comes to me with an itchy head - yes, its the dreaded nits:eek: !!!!! So both her and me have had a treatment of nit shampoo, and a good old comb with the nit comb. We both have long hair, so took ages, and will have to keep doing it for the next few weeks as well, to make sure they have def gone and wont be back!!! What joy!!!!!
Then, the two big ones i was expecting didnt turn up, so sent their mum a text message, only for her to ring and say they were still at school!!!! She was very apologetic, that she had given me the wrong dates (im now down a days pay as well!!! )but they will be here tomorrow.
Saying that, we have made a weetabix cake (smells lovely, i left out the sultanas as i dont like them) and we have spent half an hour at the park, we came home after i got bitten on the leg by a horse fly, so the children are happy at the mo. Its gotton quite hot now, so they are inside, although i have the back door open, and i have a lovely breeze coming in!!!!
Right, think i will go and make some biscuits now and get ready for lunch, im starving today!!!!!

Kaz - must admit, i love being a childminder, i get to be here for my children, have babies to look after (stop me getting broody) and the best bit, they go home!!!! Im really lucky, all the children i have at the moment are really good, so its really easy to involve them in all i do, they love cooking, i love eating it!!!!

Hello all, a bit late posting today, kids are off now so a bit chaotic at the moment. Just made lemon pannacotta (sp?) for pudding tonight, thinking of doing jacket potatoes stuffed with sausages and sage leaves for tea. Would make a weetabix cake this afternoon, but used all my eggs for brekkie, never mind, I can make one with the kids tomorrow. Off to work at 5.45pm until 10ish so quite a busy day all in all.
soba
Brekkie: Home-cured bacon, poached eggs and Staffordshire oatcakes
Dinner (lunch): Cheshire cheese, grated carrot and caramelised onion chutney butties
Tea (dinner): Sausage stuffed jacket pots, baked beans and lemon pannacotta0
