    Morning all again :hello:

Right, attempt 2 at posting to here with a proper post :rotfl:

It's boiling in this office already. I'm sure we could get an authority person in and we'd be sent home cos it's too hot in here.
Funny you should say that, OH was only saying last night that one of the teachers at his school asked the head whether there was some health & safety thing saying if its too hot they have to go home :rotfl: Mind you, having been in that school in July I can relate and sympathise - it's the classic "huge windows" secondary school so it's like being in an oven

Penny-Pincher - Thanks for reminding me yesterday that I've got all this to come with my DD. Mind you shes already asked where do babies come from and when will she get big boobies :o:rotfl: Thank goodness for a "all about your body" book I found in a charity shop. It doesn't get me out of it but at least I have a guide of what to say and she knows the VERY basics , even "sometimes men like men and women like women" . I'm dreading her hitting puberty :eek::eek:

cha97michelle - hope your classroom is a bit cooler today.

AussieLass - Can I come and stay with you until this heatwave is over. I'd rather be cold than this hot :rotfl:

    catowen - :rotfl:

Moggins - glad your cats okay. Hope you feel better later. :grouphug:

rchddap1 - Good luck with the scan. I bet its a..........boy - complete guess :rotfl:

Shez - Hope you have a better day at work today. I know how boring it can be sitting there wanting something to do and there not being anything. Thats one of the reasons I left my only office job. I was an office junior and it was soooooo boring, even when they gave me basic accountancy work

taplady - I don't think its just teenagers who can sleep, I think it's boys in general. DD has a friend who has to be dragged out of bed LITERALLY some mornings by his mum at 8.20 so she can get him to school for 8.55 :rotfl:

Teresita - Hope the BBQ goes well for you. Don't you just love IL's (and OH') who spring things on you at last minute. My MIL decided to ring at 11am on Sunday to say they were having a community carnival & BBQ and would we like to go up  It's a 2 hour drive each way so we said "Not this time as we're still in bed. Maybe you can give us more notice next time." :p:rotfl:

It's OH's birthday today (Tickets to see IL Divo on 21st, homemade framed "inspirational story" and a pocketmod of inspirational saying and stories from me. A homemade CD/photo coaster from DD :D ) and hes got the usual from his family so far, money & a £15 Debenhams voucher from his Grandad, even though he's been told we don't have one here in Liverpool  :wall: Just got back from Asda where I have bought LOADS of party stuff. Not told OH yet, so its going to be a nice surprise for him, that I'm doing him a proper buffet party for tea :D Got Animal biscuits, pizza, selection of cheese (he loves his cheeses), wafers, jelly (6 different flavours!) and loads more. Fridge is full and so is the cupboard :rotfl: Will need to get on with making the jellies etc in a minute, but first I need to make room in the fridge for it all! I see some of OH's alcohol going into hiding  Best get on.

    :hello:

A lovely day here :D Not too hot (yet) although I've kept all my front curtains closed and all doors and windows open so my house is lovley and cool. On my 4th load of washing - most of the first 3 are dried and back indoors again. DW un/repacked and a midicum of tidying done. Been on the phone for well over an hour to an old friend, but we haven't chatted in over a month so had a lot to catch up on. Oh, and I've cleaned out the gerbils :)

This afternoon I need to venture out. Have to take something back to Argos and do an Aldi/Lidl shop then pick up Mr TM's dry cleaning. Want to get home in time to put all the cardboard recycling in the car so I can take it when I pick up DS2 - I have so much it will involve putting all the seats down

    B: HM toast and tea
L: toasted cheese bread with assorted toppings
D: chicken drumsticks and salad, fruit and ice cream for pud.

    Must dash, running late :D

Slow start today as it is too hot to be rushing about! Just did a survey as I felt for the guy who called, he looked so hot and bothered! Only took 10 mins and he gave me a £5 boots voucher! :j

I got a lot of complicated hand washing done yesterday, heavy knitted jacket dried fairly quickly in yesterdays sun over a garden chair. also managed to remove a red wine stain from dd's white cheesecloth top, a bit of bleach, rinse and out into the sun - stain gone.

shez - Hope the new job is going ok!
Aussie lass - very envious of your cooler weather!
PP - How lovely of your dd to show how much she appreciates you!
Moggins - well done on reviving your cat, I must keep a closer eye on mine as she is getting on a bit.

Hope everyone is coping with the heatwave and drinking lots of water.
Off to do some badly neglected paperwork now! Think dinner is going to be something very easy like a tuna salad.

    Catz x
