Morning all...............(((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) to those who need them.....
Well it's cloudy and a little cooler here this morning, hazy sun, but it promises to be another scorcher, have closed the curtains and windows on the front which is the bit of the house that gets full sun until about 2pm when it moves to part of the back garden, there is just one little bit at the back which it does not get to and that is packed full of plants that need shade until we get some rain to free up the soil somewhat and I can plant them.
Nothing much planned for today OH has lost his library ticket!!!! He had it on Sunday night but cannot find it now, so a furniture shift is on the cards..... otherwise it will cost him to replace it ....GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR..........
We are going to the ibrary every week just now, its too hot to do anything other than sit in the garden and read.........
Nothing much else to tell.... so have a good day.

Morning all :hello: ... Still no broadband at home and still no ability to format paragraphs in the office  ... Lots to do at w**k today so won't stay long ... It really is too hot here ... AussieLass I know you get it hotter than us, but it has been known to hit 37 degrees during summer heatwaves in recent years, especially in the middle of London ... Normally have toast for breakfast but didn't fancy hot food and didn't have any cereal in, so skipped breakfast and am now at my desk in my nice air-conditioned office munching on grapes (reduced to 20p
) ... Lunch will be turkey, brie and grape sarnies on multigrain bread ... Dinner, if I can bear to cook, will be fish pie and peas ... My brother and housemate both asked me yesterday what I want for my birthday - well, what DO I want when I have no storage space at all and am trying to de-clutter? ... Plans for rest of week involve getting to grips with new job ... Am off to Glyndebourne with my dad again on Saturday, same as before (cheapie standing tickets) ... My sympathies to all pregnant people trying to survive the heat, and rchddap1, good luck with the scan! ... Anyway, must go ... Will probably post this evening
... Bye for now ... Rzl xx

You poor old chaps.
My heartfelt feelings going out to all the hotties there.
It's so draining isn't it. It's raining here atm & cold. Oooops, apologies for the *c* word.
Rcdchap Good luck & let us know the great news. Just waiting for DD to come home so I can pop in for my shower. I'm home alone and Murphy's Law is if I go in now, the minute I'm wet the phone will ring.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Hi there folks
Likes like another scorcher here today. :T although the kids not good in this heat and can be pretty cranky. DS1 was still playing in the garden last nite at 10pm, what must the neighbours think.
Off to do a tidy up before it gets too hot as have the 'family' over for a BBQ tonight. Need ideas folks as am on a very tight budget and know we will have to supply most stuff  .
OH is at work till 4 then off to do the BBQ shop just typical only did my food shop yesterday and that was over the monthly budget and didnt even get nappies.
Breakfast - Teacake and coffee
Lunch - Salald and Tuna
Dinner - BBQ goodies if not cremated
Well off for now as DS2 is screaming the poor little mite is soo hot and has an awful heat rash. Have to keep both fans on him or he would look like he had measels.
By for now and hugs to all that need them.
TAlthough I get lonely  as a single mother there are always two smiling angels ready to give me the biggest hug in the world. Love you babies :grouphug:

Morning all
A warm and sunny one here in Kent today again. Had a lovely cooling swim last night and then collapsed on the bed with a tub of icecream to help me cool down.....it worked too.
Only got afterschool kids today so need to crack on with packing for our free pontins break at the weekend. DD1 asked to take her white skirt, which I've just found in the bottom of her wardrobe with what looks like chocolate ice cream down it - nice.....don't have enough for a white wash so will soak it in soda crystals and see how it comes up.
Got all the ironing up to date yesterday, so that just leaves what ever comes off the line today.
Got all the curtains and windows closed at the front of the house, the sun will move round to the side at lunch time and shine directly into the living room and extension (which is all windows!!) It's actually quite cool at the moment - got the fan running in the hall so it's actually moving the air nicely. They keep saying on the news that we're in for a heat wave.....Surely this is hot enough.
Hope you all have a great cool breezy day.....and spare a thought for the kids in their hot class rooms and all those who don't work in an air conditioned office."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hoovering done, tidying done and dusting done. Just about to sort tea out if I can find the puff pastry in the freezer underneath all the ice lollies
DH has stripped the bed and put all the bedding in the washing machine. All I have to do now is sort the laundry and put it all awayOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Aussie - the heat's supposed to break after today (in London anyway) ... we have thunderstorms forecast for tomorrow and temperatures in the mid 20s for the rest of the week (which is how I like it)
