Morning :hello:
Ageandjo - I know what you mean about Mondays, I've got a 6 day week to look forward to at w**k
Anyway, it looks like the weather is hotting back up
Plans for today include going for a swim in half an hour when the leisure centre opens. Need to make my lunch first though. House is lovely and tidy after my weekend clean up. BBQ with 'outlaws; yesterday was 'interesting if not a little quiet'
Went to go out on my bike after they had left - needed some 'me' time - only to find I had a flat tyre, so have pumped it back up and wil have a look tonight - hopefully its just lost some air.
Snowy - try and relax as well as complete your list this week - you need some 'me' time too
PP - I hope that the hospital stuff is not too bad today
Have a great day all

Good morning all,
Penny Pincher - I hope the hospital visit will be ok and you feel better soon
I woke up in the middle of the night last night and was wide awake. I could have sworn I heard something but I guess it must have been in my head. Took me ages to go back to sleep again...
My sister is coming tomorrow from Germany and my mum and all the other relatives that are coming to our wedding on Saturday are coming on Thursday. Today there is absolute cleaning day! I am always paranoid my mum might spot something when she comes to see me... Old habit!
Off to work first, will do cleaning in the afternoon.
Hope everyone is having a great day :j0 -
Organised morning for me! I've Put out tonnes of washing on the line and found my CV. Also managed to be organised enough for a cup of tea and munching a breakfast banana now.
DW to go on before I dash out. Need to get DS up and ready soon too.
Hope I can stay organised today... Returning after a week off on a course and I'm wondering how many emails I'll return to...April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
Been up since 6 - highly unusual for me, have been coughing what feels like my lungs up since about 5 this morning, not feeling too good now. Have about an hour before I have to leave for work, so will decide a bit later if I'm going to go in.
Am having an ice lolly for my breakfast to try and soothe my throat!0 -
Good Morning All
Seems a bit cooler here at the mo, though the sun is shining. Caught a glimpse of the weather yesterday and saw temps of 34 again! We are going on holiday Sat and think it will be cooler where we are going which will be very strange.
Because of the holiday have loads to do this week, especially must sort out whats on the digital camera. Also want to get the bulk of DD's new unifrom sorted.
Plan of action today is loads of paperwork, washing and ironing. DD has got her leavers concert tonight so need to think about an early tea also. Am determined to finish my eoyear paperwork today so can get sent off to the accountant which will be a lot off of my mind.
Snowy - I cant stand the thought of my laptop not here and useable - hope it gets fixed quickly and cheaply
PP - hope it goes well today.
Best be off now - have a great day.0 -
Morning All,
Shortie - Your poor thing, I know where you are coming from with the lack of sleep. I came off some long term medication a few weeks back and have found that even though I'm not in bed till 11ish I still wake around 4ish and have to come down to watch some tv or something to get back to sleep, then up again at 6.30 to get the kids ready for their day at school/preschool etc. A permanent state of sleep depravation - its crap.
Chardonnay - Well done with the boot sale proceeds, we've just had out front room carpeted (the first new carpet I've ever had!) and its looks lovely. Keep a look out for remnant places if you have smallish rooms (like I have) as they often have bits and pieces that are HUGELY reduced. We managed to do ur 12ft x 13ft front room for just over £160 whereas they quote from a normal carpet retailer was a little over £380 (and that INCLUDES a 60% discount!!!!).
SnowyOwl - Hope your laptop isnt away too long.
ageandjo - Sending a few good vibes your way, hope your day improves.
PP - Hope your hospital trip isnt too traumatic hun, xxx.
Amanda666 - Your post has reminded me I need to get on the lookout for a 2nd hand bike, some exercise is called for in the house of Kiwi.
Ajax18 - Getting married!!!! How exciting!!!!!
sarahmelita - hope you feel better soon.
Essexgirl - Funny you mention school uniforms, I've been scouting ebay looking for bits for eldest DD's uniform for next term too.
CRIKEY - I dont know how you lot do it you know. As much as I love replying to each post I find I just cant type fast enough cause as soon as I reply to one and refresh the page there are 2 more posts!!! Am sure I'll get better over time. In any case, hugs to those I've missed whilst typing.
Today is the start of a cleanup for me as on Wednesday I have some friends coming from where I used to live, 3 girlfriends and their kids. Havent seen them sinve March so am reall ylooking forward to it and they are coming a long way for a day visit 1.5hrs each way at least, so I need to make an effort and have the house looking nice for them at least.
Also need to call sky today and get the viewing package sorted for when the prem starts again. We always go down to the most basic package when the football season stops only to go back to paying well over the odds when it starts again  .
Also need to call my organic veg box supplier and have the box size reduced. Its lovely stuff but there is just too much of it and my new composting worms have been treated much more than they ought to have been just lately!
Got to do some reading on here about 0% CC's as we have let ours slide whilst the move was going on and I am SHOCKED to see we are now paying £60ish each month in interest alone!!!!! Can anyone tell me if there are tie-ins for those "life of balance" transfers.ie.if I transfer to one and find a better rate in 6 months time can I transfer again without being penalised??? EDIT: - I have just applied for the capital one 0% for 18 months card (thanks Martin) so if that is approved i will save £1134 in interest over the 18 months!!!!! Will also work REALLY hard to have the debt ALL paid off by the time to 18 months end!!!!!!
Other than that I am going to get on with the laundry, I swear there is a laundry orgy in my bathroom each night, it seems to have multiplied each morning.
Righto, off to browse and have more coffee,
Chat later,

Morning all
At work yet again. Had enough now. How I'd love to make a change.
Went to a farmer's market yesterday but wasn't very impressed.
Made some cheese scones last night to go with our bits and pieces dinner.
Worked it out that I've spent £32 pounds on Christmas so far. That includes 5 presents, a candle and sparkling wine, so I'm pretty chuffed about that
Cold seems to be shifting now
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

SnowyOwl no chance of you being kidnapped by Morten, he's here with me!!!!
Just eating my breakfast & then I have work today. The childminder is taking the kids to the farm today so they will enjoy that.
Kids want to go to Chessington tomorrow. Don't suppose anyones got any 'cheap' links/ideas for tickets tomorrow. Saying that hopefully if DS is under 1M he will be free & DD will go free as a child with my adult ticket.
Its really hot here already today. WM on, will have t put the washing out when I get back from work tonight, before I take the kids dancing!
Need to empty DW as well at some point!
Penny, good luck at the hospital today hhon.
Take care all
