HAPPY BIRTHDAY SNOWY! :bdaycake:Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

to Snowy!! You kept that quiet! Hope you've got some treats planned for yourself!:D
Weather has been very strange today. We had the darkening skies, wind got up, got a bit cooler, then started to rain. I didn't mind at all, not even with two machine loads of almost dry washing on the line!:D After an hour or so, the rains stopped, sun's come out, it's got hotter and now really humid again! You just can't win! Did you manage to get any rain Kaz? I was willing to share ours but you're in the wrong direction!
I was a bit jealous of those of you with your various pools, but guess what, went out the kitchen a couple of hours ago and I had my own indoor lake!!
I'd caught a strap as I'd shut WM door, which was acting like a wick to empty the water all over the kitchen!!I could have cried at the time, but I've pulled all the machines out and wiped it all up now. Because it was soapy water the floor has come up a treat, so I won't have to clean under them again for a couple of months.:D If moggins is around I meant days!!
I've done loads of ironing in between running to shops and mopping floors, but still a fair bit to do.
How could I? I nearly forgot!! DS2, DIL and DGS called in this afternoon with a surprise present for me. Not my birthday or anything, they say it's just a thankyou for all I do for them. It's a really lovely Radley bag!! It was so sweet of them and I was so touched. I'm sure it's my DIL that prompts these things, I'm so lucky, I couldn't have done better if I handpicked her myself!!:D
Must get back to the ironing. Enjoy your evenings. Shez hope you enjoy tonight's concert if your in;)

SnowyOwl wrote:VickyA..gosh your big day is getting mighty close now isn't it!? How do you manage to keep so calm??
I don't know how I keep so calm as this time next week I'll be a married lady!
I wasn't calm at 3.15 this afternoon when I was shopping in Peterborough (in Lakeland to be precise, picking up my free "pick a bags"). There's a church opposite the shop and its bells were ringing - with the sky black and a bride in a beautiful ivory dress going into the church! I nearly had a panic attack at the thought that it could be me with the black sky, rumbling of thunder etc.
Whilst you're all keeping your fingers crossed for Rzl, please can you keep them crossed for a nice day in Lincolnshire next Saturday?
