    Morning everyone :hello:

Cat - gosh, you've got a strong constitution! I normally get fed up with the first day of the Next sale and give up. On a positive note, I did get a top half price in the Principles sale on Thursday night :D

The party was good last night, and I brought home half a bottle of Pimms ;) which I hadn't drunk. My tummy is still feeling a little icky though... I treated OH to a bacon butty this morning in the nice coffee shop in our little town. Ok, so it was more for me than it was for him, but.............. it was yummy!

I've also picked up a parcel this morning, which contains the disposable cameras for our wedding. I bought them from ebay and my dad is very impressed with my moneysaving ways. I'll have some left over, which I will hopefully be able to resell on ebay after the wedding, unless my friend who is getting married a fortnight after us doesn't want them!

OH is revising for an exam that he's got on Thursday. OH is doing an IT qualification through self-study (7 exams in total, this is his first one) that his company promised that he would pay for - and then back tracked when it came to booking the training! Very very annoying. This being the case, I'm going into Peterborough this afternoon to have a potter and try to buy some clothes for our honeymoon. While I'm there, I'm going to pop into Lakeland and get those free pick-a-bags! :)

    Bye for now.

    Good Morning All

Its hot and humid again today though managed to hoover and clean kitchen, 1 load in wm just about to go out and another will go straight in. Need a couple of grocery bits, cant make up my mind to drive 15 mins to asda - cheap but might be tempted by other stuff, or to go down to the little shop at the bottom of the road - very expensive and not much choice. Think might chose asda and stand in the fridge section for a while.

Then will come home and I WILL DO my ironing!! Once that is finished think will jump in the kids pool - its lovely in there.

Well best be off - have a great weekend

Hurrah a thunderstorm! We had one here in the night too, but I much prefer them in the day when they don't wake me up!

Plans for today are to go into town when it's stopped storming and go to the health food shop to stock up on bits and bobs, then back to make some scones and bits and bobs and to have a massive tidy - we've been on holiday for the past 2 weeks so tidying has kind of gone to pot!

We've got rain too.

i'm about to go out and meet my friend. I have to drive about 50 round miles to do it, so i need to set off early and go and get some petrol on the way.

I've managed the grand total of
      • having a bath and washing my hair.
      • wearing a face mask
      • hoovered the whole of downstairs
      • sat and wrote my fly lady wish list for the house for over the hols
      • did online banking
      • sorted out recycling from papers and mags in the living room

I now know my direction, and plan to try and organise my time productively so i have a beautiful house for my maternity leave starting.

Best go as i don't want to be late.
See you all soon. Enjoy your day, whether with children, or shopping, or relaxing.

      Michelle xx

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped me oppose the planning application for the proposed house in next doors back garden.

      IT HAS BEEN REFUSED :D

I don't think a single piece of news has made me happier this year! I was dancing round the living room when we got the letter.

They didn't even refuse it on the grounds that we thought they would, ie, parking and access etc. They refused it because of the loss of privacy and gross overshadowing to neighbouring properties.

It also sounds like they are not going to appeal although they have six months to do so because the house is reverberating with the sound of work going on to bring the house up to a saleable standard. I can live with a few weekends of hammering and drilling if it means I am not going to lose the use of my garden :D
