((((((((((((dorry))))))))))) I'm so sorry to hear the news about your dad.

Bargainrzl, the gods are smiling on you, I hope you get it, I need a wee :D

The pool is up and filled. DH and DD couldn't wait so got in it half filled :D DH loves it and I am so relieved, I thought he would go nuts when he found out I'd bought an 8 foot pool :D Just wait until he finds out about the tent :D

I had three manic 12 year old boys chasing each other with the hosepipe :D, the house is trashed but do I care? They've all had great fun and are really happy and planning to come back with their trunks next week :D

XDH has been really apologetic about the lack of maintenance and I think he really means it, especially when he'd found out that I'd spent nearly £40 on footwear for our son in the last 7 days. Buying shoes is normally down to him, I told him not to worry that all I wanted was last weeks maintenance which his bank didn't pay, the £15 he owes me for the scout trip and CJ's school shoes at the end of the school holidays. I don't know where I can get black shoes in size 12 that a 12 year old boy would wear without costing a fortune.

DH has two concerts this weekend, so I am going to try and get some housework done tomorrow, DD and I will go in the pool tomorrow afternoon and I will hopefully have a lazy evening :D

I love IL Divo too.:drool: I have all their cd's. They came to Brisbane not long ago & I wanted to go so much but at the time couldn't.

Dorry My heartfelt feelings from across the miles. Take a day at a time, it will bite you in the bum for a long while yet. ((((((hugs))))))

Moggins Did your tan wash off in the pool? :D514v.gif

It's raining here today. and I was going up to mow the block. What a shame. :rotfl:

Cat Enjoy your night out. By the sounds of it it was a whisker off not happening.

I hope the weather cools down and you all manage a good nights sleep. We had our bedroom airconned as if you get a good sleep you can put up with the day a bit better we found. Keep cool. Bye for now.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Dorry, our thoughts are with you

    Hugs to everyone else,

Having a very decluttering day - big piles for the charity shop - also,dh is in Japan for 10 days so mostly in contact by email. Very difficult - we speak to him for a few seconds each day so by email I try to make more "everyday stuff" but I know he finds that difficult to hear all the stuff when he's not there. But he also finds it hard if he comes back after 10-12 days and has missed all the incidental news

Am using some of the time while he's away to make a mogginns style household manual - am enjoying the thread very much - thriftlady - where do you find these sites!!!!!! Have loads to put in it - dh recently said to me that if anything happened to be he would be sunk - so am trying to make it a help for him as well.

Well I've had a few (or more) glasses of wine and I feel less sad and down.

Glad your pool is such a success moggins, i thought you were getting it next week.:D Dh is hardly going to bat an eye at a £24 tent compared to what I imagine an 8 foot pool costs!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Glad things seem to be working out Rzl, you deserve it after all the work you've put in. Bet you were the best prepared most of them have encountered in ages!! They will have been well impressed, if not a little intimidated, there's nothing scarier than a woman who's done her homework!!:T

Shez hope you have enjoyed tonight's concert, and all for free!! Moneysaving in the extreme!:D Not so much fun if you absolutely hate the act on stage, I imagine icon9.gif

Kaz, I nearly cheered myself up by making more welshcakes, but as I've put on over two stones since I quit smoking, thought I'd wait until tomorrow!!:rotfl: DH thinks I should go with tonight, but he can dream on!;) The man is obsessed with them!!

Roz-V I got that sample too! Couldn't believe it when I read it was one wash, it's HUGE!!! I plan to make it do at least two!!

    Good Monring all :hello:

Catowen - I've just got back from Next, managed to update my wardrobe and very pleased with the results. Have to admit I don't like clothes shoppong but can just about manage to get up for a one off event.

Anyway, the jobs list for today is quite short, banana loaf to make next and a quick flick with a mirco cloth and then hopefully some sun soaking.

Did heaps yesterday when I got home from work, I think that OH thought I had taken something as I was none stop ( he doesn't know about my plan to spend the day at the cricket )

Well, the WM has just bleeped so off to grab a :coffee: and carry on.

Have a great day all :D

    Morning Guys

Well done on your bargains! Do you have a Next clearance store near you? We bought tons of stuff 2 weeks ago. All their winter coats down to £10, all jeans £5 and all tops/skirts £3-£4....was sooooooooo cheap!! OH bought a pair of the leather slippers tagged at £29.99 for £1.50. Will definitly be buying from ther from now on. They are 2 seasons behind (4-5months) but the staples of jeans and jackets are normally the same.

Slept quite well last night, but is raining here ATM so my joints and bones are playing up:rolleyes: have just taken some pain killers so they should kick in soon.

Nothing to put in the wash yet as basket is empty. Toilet has been cleaned though and the DW needs emptying.

Not too sure what we're doing today but think we may be off to look at tiles, have been told about a small place and am just hoping they have wheelchair access. Also have to pick abit of shopping up. Then I must get on with the DLA form as it needs to be in by the end of the week and my essay is due Wednesday but if needed I can ask for an extension. Think DD will be just coming with us wherever we go today...lucky her..lol.

Anyway, Ive got to go and eat as my tummy is growling. Have a great day everyone.

    Breakie: Toast & Marmite
    Lunch: Chicken Salad roll
Dinner: Lamb Cutlet, New spuds and salad

    Hugs to all.
