Hi everyone
Was up at the crack of dawn this morning, considered for all of five minutes going to the Next sale, then told myself not to be so silly and went back to bed. Lucky for me I caught the online M&S sale just as it opened so I got a good selection of desirable items from there. Hats off to those who did venture to Next at some ungodly hour - that is true dedication.
Moggins, that is fantastic news about the planning permission not going through.
VickyA..gosh your big day is getting mighty close now isn't it!? How do you manage to keep so calm??
Shez - well remembered! Thanks!
All the best.

Excuse me everyone, but stop hogging the rain. It was forecast for 2pm here and we haven't had any. Now stop being selfish and send it our way!!!
Please?
Boys are already at each others throats- probably not helped by us having to do our shopping today as I couldn't go yesterday.
My Nan's still not out of hospital so it'll be visiting for us again this eve. It was quite stinky in the ward last night so we've bought a small vase and are going to pick some lavender from the garden for her
Moggins - that is fantastic news! I can imagine how relieved you must be - time for a street pary eh? ... or should that wait and be a double celebration when they move?
Best go and try to referee this lot,
Kaz x

Afternoon All
,
It's just plain ol' muggy here in Shropshire ... the sky is getting greyer ...whilst rain would be good ... not until the 2 loads of washing dry please!!
Also, we've got to remove 3 of our windows tomorrow evening in order for the carpenter to make new ones .. which should be done by Wednesday ... this really is guaranteeing rain for the next 3 days isn't it!!!
Currently got 4lbs of mince in the slow cooker converting itself in to a chilli ... guess what we're going to be eating for a while, LOL!
This morning we went and picked up some paint testers for the dining room - they both look wrong, so it's back to the drawing board for us! No pressure!
Took a trek around Lidl and bought a birthday pressie for one of DD's nursery companions whose party we've been invited to next Sunday.
Finally, we bought her a new pair of sandals as she's suddenly had a growth spurt .. the only "problem" was that we only have one shoe shop in town and all their shoes were in the sale .. the only pair of sandals I've managed to get in her size .. are, erm ... "Bob the Builder" ones ... she loves them ... not quite so sure they're going to look the biz with her pretty pink frocks, LOL!
Next Sale - congratulations to all those who were "brave" (mad) enough to get up for the sale this morning. I took the easy route and ordered all mine online on Thursday morning ... had deliveries yesterday and today .. so tonight I need to get them all out and see what fits / what doesn't etc.
I ought to clean our room / dd's room and do the ironing ... I think I'll go and put the kettle on first! I've got a long evening/night of DIY to do, so don't want to burn out too early!
It's just that the warm / muggy air just makes me feel apathetic. Yawn.

well our big news is we finally put our house up for sale and it has sold! yah! the second viewer made an offer we couldn't refuse and we are moving in a months time.
we already have our new flat and are currently decorating it.
did a car boot sale this morning to help pay for the new carpets and to declutter and made £90. doing another tomorrow! (are we mad lol)
we've got loads of decluttering to do as the previous owners left half the loft full of stuff. we've been sorting it & anything decent we've taken to car boots. now we just need to make lots of trips to the dump. we also don't intend to take any stuff with us that will just go from loft to loft as we've been guilty of this in the past
hugs to all:love: married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090 -

Hi everyone
First posting in one of these, sorry if I'm missed the point or something
Today was my lie-in. 10.30! Tomorrow is OH's. Just hope my little boy wakes up in a goo mood tomorrow!
Today I've been tidying the veg patch a bit. Need to get out there again later.
Used up the blackberries I picked yesterday to make Jam today. Yum. One lot of washing dried in time just before it rained, and a second load on now. Is it me or does the dirty washing seem always more than you thought you had?
Sitting on the comp looking out of the back door now watching the birds enjoy the rain we've just had. Unuasual to see birds in our garden as we have two cats, so it's quite a nice change to see
B: Oops, forgot it
L: Tune Pasta (Left Overs)Either chicken salad with my M&D or more Tuna Pasta Bake left overs

Snowyowl, Happy Birthday! :bdaycake: 21 again, I hope! :A
Shez, give Bryan Ferry a wave from me!
Pooky, enjoy the pool! I was going to Freecycle ours (quite small, and not nearly as brill as yours and moggins sound!), but children wanted to keep it. Glad we did now.
VickyA, have a fab day - can't wait to see the photos!
Troo, will take a look at your yog maker - I thinkl I might like one of those. My children eat loads, and we make smooties, too.
Moggins, enjoy the concert - hope you keep dry!
Michelle, what great timing for your maternity leave. Make sure you enjoy it, and do plenty for yourself! Have a fab summer!
The thunder storm has just hit us. We sure need the rain. Not sure what the chicks will think!
Well, we're nearly all packed for our trip. DH is taking his laptop, so hope to be able to post from NYC - how's that for cool? :cool2: :cool2: :cool2:
