Morning all,
Much better temperature here today. The 2 dogs I am looking after at the moment (friends on hols) seem happier. They are poodles with thick, black, curly hair & have been feeling really sorry for themselves!
Bargain RZL, your flat looks fabby. I too am saving up to buy somewhere at the moment, but the more I save, the more the prices seem to be rising, so God knows if I'll ever be able to get anywhere. How does the SO work? I always presumed it was something I would never be eligable for? You can PM me if you prefer.
My boyf is off to Belarus with work early on Sunday morning for a week. It will be the first time he's been away since we've been together, so I'm REALLY going to miss him. Soppy cow! I will still be dog sitting for part of the time, so that will keep me busy, then my friend's are back from hols (3 sets of couples away together, we didn't go so I could keep topping up the house saving pot) so I will have some company again.
I have to go to the dentist to have a crown fitted later today. I had the preliminary drilling etc done two weeks ago, so hopefully today won't be too scary (apart from the £££).

well, i feel like i have been a rollercoaster ride, this last week. dad took poorly in the hot weather on thursday morning early hours, the hospital phoned us a 5am and said we should go there straightaway, but by the time we got there he had passed away. the doctors and nurses were absolutly lovely, but we are still in shock. he was 78 and had alzhimiers and 4 strokes since november. we know he was poorly, but didn't expect what happened!
so i am in need of some tlc today off u lot!! placement have said for me to be off work so just trying to chill at the minute.
anyway off to put some washing in as sun has come out here and it looks like it's gonna be hot again,
bye for now 'If you judge people, you have no time to love them'

What a terrible shock, take care and loads of love to you x0 -
Hello, again. I'm having a cup of black coffee - milk's off and it's still well in date.
DS's leavers' assembly was very emotional. They sang a song they'd made up "From Primary to High" to the tune of "London to Berlin", with actions. Were presented with a big pile of reference books.
DD back from France today - can't wait ot see her. Need to do a quick laundry turnaround before we head off on Sunday.
Hello to Amanda, Sugagen, don't think we've been introduced. I'm Penny, and I have 3 hens and 2 chicks. Keep maning to introduce myself properly on the Getting to Know You thread................
Ageandjo, all your talk of pastry sounds lovely. That's what I'll be doing with the children in the hols. DD is a whizz at bread, so if DS can make pastry (he has cool hands) I'll be sorted. :rotfl:
Nicki, loved the "Getting Old" post. I'd already compiled my mailing list in my head before I got to the end...............
Kiwi, I do sympathise with your DD leaving nursery. Seems like only yesterday that was mine; where has the last 9 years gone?
Dobie, LearningtoSave, you've explained the prob with my BM. Thanks. :T My bread is sunk, and I reckon it's so warm that it rises loads, then flops back.
Chips, home ed sounds great; enjoy what you like, when you like. Children lear from all experiences, not just in a classroom.
Ajax, enjoy your shower!
Wigginsmum - cars, don't ya love 'em! :rotfl:
Moggins, enjoy the pool. Fingers crossed for sun - can you share this with Rzl?
PP the tile idea sounds very smart! An accent wall. :T
Manicdays, are you still floating? Have you had the call re marriage yet? Am looking out for you in the glossies! :T
Kazonline, your FAT looks great from where I am. :rotfl: :rotfl:
Scuzz, chesty cough, and a nose in Somerfield. Great combination! :rotfl: Hope you feel better soon, hun.
Elona, (((((hugs))))) for you and your dad and DD. Take care of yourself, too.
Zed, have a great time with DIY. I remember my DD, aged 2, helping in her own special way when we did her room.
Snowy, any buns left for us?? :A
Tootles, cushion cover sounds lovely.
Rchddap, have a fab time with the girls.
Dopey, my DH spends a lot of time abroad. I don't like it much, but enjoy some time alone. You'll be more appreciative when he's back. :T
Dorry, so sorry about your dad. Take care. (((((hugs))))) You know you'l get plenty TLC here.
Thanks, Shez. To put your mind at rest, the chooks are being looked after by neighbours, but they'll certainly be pleased to see us again (and so will the chooks :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ).
Hope that's everyone, big apologies to anyone I've missed. :A

Morning! :hello:
DD wasn't sick this time but did have some worrying muscle spasms yesterday. She has managed a smoothie for breakfast and a yogurt and is now sound asleep on the sofa after more painkillers. She looks a bit like a hamster, poor girl, but there were no complications - she was warned that one of the wisdom teeth had roots far to close to the nerve and that she might lose feeling on that side of her mouth for some time (up to 18 months! , but this morning the feeling came back, so after a whoop for joy she then grabbed the painkillers!)
My hm cream of veg soup has been requested so must go and peel some root veg and get that started. We are going to have cheesy mash potato tonight, not sure what with, will have to be something soft though.
Elona - ((((Hugs)))) to you and dd, I am sure she will feel a lot better once she gets home. So sorry to hear about your Dad, will keep my fingers crossed that he can stay in the hospice.
Dorry - (((Hugs)))) Just take one day at a time and sometimes 1 minute at a time. You will always find friends to talk to on here. I suspect more than a few of us have lost a parent and know the pain.
BRzl - Am keeping my fingers crossed for you too. The flat looks wonderful and a perfect start on the property ladder.
well off to find that veg!

BIG HUGS TO DORRY :grouphug: ... Really sorry to hear of your loss ... Hope all the arrangements are nice and straightforward so as not to cause you too much stress ... HUGS again ... Right, back to my favourite subject ... the flat ... Think I've got it sorted ... Got my Approved status and reference number from the HA ...
