Fingers crossed for you Bargain Rzl!

Perhaps that's why my typing is so appaling this morning - or is it something to do with sleep deprivation???

Despite all my efforts to F/L the house regularly it is back to Chaos this morning and to be honest I'm totally fed up with it. All I want to do is go to cwtch in my bed....

Nicki, I wish I had half of your energy.

Office is a tip, as is the kitchen, lounge an hallway. Ok, at least my bedroom is still much tidier than it normally is as is the bathroom. TBH I think I'm stressing because possible needing to go to the hospital to pick up my nan means everything is on hold - particularly the shopping which may now need to be done on Saturday.
I know that to some of you it's no big deal, but shopping seems to suck all the energy from me - especially at busy times. There's also the possibility that she'll be cross with me that I'm annoyed at my mum for what she did the other weekend. I don't want to stress her by disagreeing with her, but I'm not very good at keeping my mouth shut. I know, I must try harder.

Oh, bargain Rzl, I so hope you'll have some good news to cheer me up!!!

I am crossing my fingers and toes for you RZL!

Will phone hospital at 9.30 to see when DD can be discharged.

DH and DDs went to see my dad last night and he has been told that he will not be able to walk again and will be bedridden due to the leukaemia.

Will plan day around DD and luckily have a fridge full of food, but may pop out and get a few soft and easily eaten bits for her.

    Hugs to all.

Morning all, well ... it's freezing here in Shropshire.
Well, when I say freezing .. I guess it's all comparative. The baby monitor says it is 21 degrees .. I may just have to find a cardi in a minute!

DD woke up in the middle of the night physically shivering, it took DH about an hour to warm her up again :(

BargainRzl - good luck with your application! Flat does indeed look fab.

Today we hear whether or not the chap can make our sash windows, if he can ... I know what DH and I are doing this evening ... removing the existing windows and boarding them up.

Today is my last day at work for a week .. next week DH and I are taking the week off to get cracking on some DIY, because as lovely as our DD is, at 2.5yrs old I'm afraid she doesn't assist overly in the DIY!

So, next week my plans won't so much be OS as DIY-SOS! Our aim is to get DD's room finished and the Dining Room pretty much there. We'll be so chuffed if we manage that! :j

In true style, I've written a plan day-by-day of what we need to achieve and built in some slippage too. So, fingers crossed for us!

I just need to ensure we have some easy food in the house, so that we don't spend hours cooking / nor minutes going to the takeaway to detract from it all. Methinks I shall batch cook some bolognaise / chilli this evening .. in fact, I shall go get the mince out of the freezer right now!

    Ciao bellas!

    Hello everyone!

Had a good sleep last night as it was deliciously cool - windows wide open and it rained during the night, and I was snuggled up under my duvet. It was lovely. Errr sorry to rub it in....

Last night I made some muffins, per bigmuffins' instructions. They are beautiful, only ate two. I also made some of KiwiChick's HokeyCokey biscuits but they are a little overdone on their under side - think I've got a fan oven (pathetically I don't even know if I do or not) and so cooking times and temps can be a bit random. Catznine - I was going to make your golden oat cookies as listed in the recipe collection, but there was no oven temperature noted! OK a proper cook could work it out but I am a mere amateur... Anyway, the muffins are with me at the office today for distribution to the starving underpaid workers, the well done biscuits shall be my little secret and I'll nibble on them during the weekend - yummy!

BargainRzl - welcome to the stress of home-buying! I've been through it three times and sorry to say but it can get worse... But hang in there, it is definitely worth it, the feeling you get when you walk through your very own front door for the very first time is fabulous.

jockettUK - aw your wee daughter! She's going to make you a granny one day you know!:D

Elona - I'm sorry about your Dad, how absolutely awful for him and for the rest of your family.

Better toddle off and do some w***, see you all later!

Well if nothing else, all this worrying (and consequent loss of appetite) will make me lose the stone I need to lose :D ... When I was 16, my best friend announced that she thought she was pregnant and then swanned off on holiday for a fortnight ... When she got back she phoned me and cheerfully announced that she'd come on the day after she'd gone on hols ... but by then I'd lost 10lbs worrying about her  ... LOL!

Morning all....((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) to those who need them and crossed everything for RZL.................

Quite a dull morning, nice breeze blowing, took a anti histamine again last night, leg still swollen but its gone down this morning........ slept not too badly all things considered................had the windows wide open and managed to arrange the curtains so the breeze blew in without anyone getting a shock seeing either of us walking about in the nuddy!!!!!! not a pleasant sight.

Need to put the bread maker on, I am going to have a job getting to August 1st with rations, but I am detirmed that I am not going shopping till then.... so going to make a loaf today with the last of the yeast. I have a loaf for toast in the freezer......

Nothing really planned for today, need to get on with my cushion cover, spent most of yesterday trying to sort out my laptop which was not behaving itself, kept telling me pages were unavaialbe when I was sitting next to the desk top with the pages showing GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRR............

AL glad to hear your son is out of hospital, hope they have found out what was wrong with him.......... Elona sorry to hear about your dad, will they keep him in the hospice?

All those of you who have little ones leaving their schools to move up to big schools..........its a common affliction, I cried when I left them for their first day and cried when they left to go up to junior school...... it gets better after that although school plays are a !!!!! even when they get older believe me, you still have some crying to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.........

My tesco shop turned up yesterday. OH was on the phone to me moaning about how he couldn't get everything in the freezer. He ended up having to take some milk out of the freezer in order to get it all in. So we're going to be drinking a lot of milk over the next few days (8 pints of it to be precise).

Later on this avo we're also off to pickup the girls for their 2 week stint with us. Will bring them back to our place on Saturday....and then the trips will begin next week. Not sure I'm looking forward to them, as it suggests being a warm week. I might end up excusing myself from a trip here and there to catch up on some sleep.

I am hoping that they will keep him in the hospice for the few weeks he needs, but do not know for sure yet.

I phoned the hospital just now and spoke to DD. She has been very sick through the night and we will be able to pick her up at about 1p.m.

May try to get a cheap shower stool for her to use as she is likely to be dizzy and weak for a few days.

Hugs to everyone for the good wishes and understanding.
