Funnily enough I have the same BM & mine is the opposite - the warmer the weather, the better the loaf. A couple of times in the last couple of weeks I thought it was going to lift the lid it rose so much!:D

isnt that odd!!! honestly i cant get a properly risen loaf for anything when its hot weather....its a real pain, still fine for dough but a loaf...no way

Another scorcher here in East London. Never thought I'd see the day when 31 degrees was a 'cooler' day in England! I've done and hung out the week's washing, and off to work in a minute.

Will go to Lidl this evening (have learned to avoid it on Saturdays) for enough bits until next Tuesday when my housekeeping 'month' officially starts. Then got to clean the house as the NTL engineer is coming tomorrow and the place is an absolute tip.

May have to decide later if we pay £2500 for a reconditioned car engine or bite the bullet and replace the car :( Waiting to hear from the garage.
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

    Good Morning All

Just finishing my coffee then will be getting on- need to chase DS to have something for his breakfast - he is not a breakfast person and then make sure he gets dressed then need to literally chase him around the garden to put suncream on then its off to school yah!

When get home will quickly hoover downstairs and wash kitchen floor, will also swish bathrooms - then will spend an hour or so in the office waiting for the sun to come off the kitchen so can iron. Will then pack for our caravan as will go up there once pick up DD from her leavers disco.

Didnt get as much done yesterday as I hoped but never mind. Got loads of filing to do which I always say I will do weekly then end up doing 5 months at a time - must put that in the weekly challenge thread.

Well everyone seems fine so far - if your not have a (((hug))).

Going to go now and have a peep at Bargainrzl's flat.

    See you later.

    Morning all,

Brokenwings your start to the day sounds lovely.

Bargainrzl good luck with the Housing Association today

Ajax we don't have a shower at all! I wish :(

I'm off in a bit to take the parents shopping, DD can't wait as it is so long since she saw her nanny. I'm going to try to get the washing on the line before I go.

I've just got an e-mail to say my parcel has been despatched from M & M Direct so hopefully within a few days we should have an 8 foot pool in the back garden :D Knowing my luck we propbably won't get any more sun :D

DH's birthday presents have arrived, I just have to buy cards now and I'm all set. His birthday isn't until the 6th August but I like to be prepared :)

    Morning All

Slept not too badly last night:D

WM is on and will be hung on the line. DW has been emptied and toilet cleaned. House is still clean and tidy, so nothing to worry about there. Have aired beds and OH just pulling them up now as he's getting showered/dressed.

Have a "nothing much planned" day today as OH & I both have studying to do. OH has an exam Monday and I have an essay due Wednesday, so want to devote some time to that if possible. May go out for a drive later, but will see how the time goes. Will also be filling in my DLA froms today:eek:...have been in contact with my disability advisor who has told me the main things to point out etc, so hopefully will get that sent over the weekend, although Im waiting on my OT's letter.

BargainRzl-Your new pad looks lovely! Hope it all goes through ok hun.

    Breakie: Scrambled Egg on Toast
Lunch: Baked Spud, Ham and salad
Dinner: HM Lasagna, Chips and salad

The bathroom should be getting done in the next couple of weeks and have had confirmation etc. They are offering plain white tiles on 3 walls floor to ceiling but I dont want the clinical look, so we have asked if we can supply our own tiles and they tile the 4th wall for nothing (as they wont need to supply tiles) and that should be ok:j We have seen some stone type tiles for a good price, so may go for them:confused:

Anyway, I have to go. Hope everyone has a nice day and hugs to all that need them.

Morning all :hello: not read the thread through properly as DD is in a pestering mood this morning and I can already feel my blood boiling

    Plans for today are :
    • Clean stairs/hall
    • Clean Livingroom
    • Clean Kitchen
    • Washing - all towels today
    • Ironing
    • Get DD's stuff out to pack
    • Sort some tea out for OH and me
    • Get sorted for going to see Il Divo tonight :D
DD is going to go up to my mums this afternoon to stay there while OH and I go out and we'll pick her up after the concert tonight. Then tomorrow we're all going up to the IL's for SIL's birthday BBQ  Apparently we're staying over at Grandad-IL's house which means I can have a really good scub/shower Sunday morning :D DD will be staying at MIL's and, after a phonecall from them last night, she'll be staying until Thursday when MIL will bring her back home on her day off :D So I get an extra 3 days child free ;)

Right, need to go and scrub DD down before school. Later

Rzl - i think the fat looks fab too!!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Oh, how I wish someone would say my fat looks fab! I've certainly got plenty of it :p

Totally cream crackered today as DS2 didn't get back from gig until 1:30am. Going to have to have a serious think about this come new school year....

Supposed to be shopping today, but had a call last night and I may need to collect my nan from hospital.... but won't know until gone 12. ?I know I should rush out and do it straight after school run, but I'm just so tired I know I'd spend stupid amounts and not have any meals for next week! Besides, I'm also expecting an important call from the college this morning. Now I recmember why I stopped planning in the past!!!!
Anyway, best get some clothes on so I can take the boys
    Hugs,
