This is just a quickie for me this morning as I have to go out v soon. The ferry driver has already waited once for me as I was running like a bat out of hell down the hill.
Got a lot of tut tuts and dissapproving looks. Those are the times when you are glad you don't have big boobs.
Welcome back KiwiWe've missed ya.
Nels - will look into that later. God I'll be glued to the computer chair soon.
Bgn Rzl Sooooo happy for you. :T
It got down to 9 degrees last night.& I think it's going to be a pleasant 20 today. So there, it is cold. :rotfl:
PP never made cous cous so can't help.
Snowy Have a good nights sleep tonight.
Catch ya all later. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
9 degrees!!! Positively balmy!! Wussie:D :rotfl:
Just to add Aussielass, young girls over here go on the razzle in town wearing crop tops and mini skirts in 9 degree temperatures. No topcoats or anything!! I think they're mad. They think oldies like me are wussies! You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

Bagin Rlz Congrats on the mortgage and good lick with the viewing tomorrow.
Kiwichick Welcome back.
ShezI suppose the only thing your missing out on is Morten's cheecky little grin.

W**k today was like sitting in an oven as the air con isnt working. It got so bad that even the manager didnt complain about are lack of activity today. Can't wait till friday as this is my day off.:j :j Though I've loads of shopping to do and I'm hoping the weather cools a bit as trapesing around the shops in this heat will be nightmare.

to you Churchmouse!!! Fancy getting a pukka project book before me! Going to sulk now! Go on, tel me what you're going to use it for... might give me an idea as to why I NEED one
Bargain Rzl - don't know if you'll read this but really looking forward to hearing all about the flat tomorrow!
Catzine - I think it was that weekend we went. IT was nice where we live, but as we arrived at stormy down we could see that it had rained. I don't get to go early as DS1 has a paperround to do first, and I like to do these things as a family (sad eh!)
DS2 came home safe and well from his trip - but as always didn't get anything for his brothers. IT's a bit annoying as they always get evreyone a little something to say 'thought of you' - but he never does. Mind, he kind of brought something back for them.... Mum, my head is itching - can you check it....
Urghhhh! At first I thought it was bits of play bark, but no, they had legs!!!!
Youngest and eldest totally clear of them but kept DS2 home and spent almost the entire day going through his hair!
Thanks to Twink (on an old post) I also found out about a nit comb that actually does pull out the nits - and best of all is available on prescription!!
Just for good measure I did his hair again (much to his delight!!!!)
Anyway, off for a quick surf as I'm probably talking to myself anyway given the time!

Hi Kaz...no, you're not talking to yourself, I'm all ears! You made me giggle with your description of your son's head guests. Must be a kind of nightmare. My sister is a teacher and she regularly gives her head a dose of anti-critter stuff, just to be on the safe side. It does seem to be more common these days for some reason. That reminds me, my wandering friend Ted and his little playmate Dylan need to get their flea stuff soon. I actually bought it a while ago, but it has been languishing in the bottom of my bag. It won't be quite so funny if they bring some fleas into the house.
it's v.hard to sleep here, it is so incredibly humid. However there has been a flash of lightning and I've heard some thunder though it seems to be quite far away. Maybe we'll get a bit of relief from the heat tonight after all. My poor kitties are in the bathroom lying on the tiled floor trying to keep cool.
Tiptoes - I've worked in an office with no opening windows and no aircon before, and it's not in the least bit funny. That office was in an NHS Trust - and they kept telling us there was "no money" to buy fans for us. Not even one fan in an office of about 20 people... grrr! Hope your shopping day goes good, maybe get out to the shops first thing and get it done before it gets really hot.
Think I'll go and lie down now!
manicdays....how was aha. Did Morten give you a big cheesy grin??
Night all!

I'm amazed at how you manage all these late nights and still work f/t Snowy!
I do hope Ted decides to wander in soon, he is sooo lush! Going to head up to bed myself now as it's getting late - shame really as at last it is lovely and cool - in fact there's almost a slight 'nip' in the air!
G'night hun,

Oh Kaz, I've just splattered wine over my laptop at your description of your DS's visitors!!! Well remember my very first encounter with them with DS2 back in the year 1900 and frozen to death!! It was near a holiday, bank holiday of some sort and we were due to visit DH's sister. DS2 was a bit sleepy, and anyway I see what I first think are a couple of flies in his hair! All mine are red-heads or blonde. Realise they are lice and with great embarrassment ring SIL and say will perfectly understand if she'd rather we didn't come. Sil says don't be daft, you come. Rings back 10 minutes later to say I can tell you where they came from her ds2 was running alive with them!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
Anyway Kaz you will no doubt be impressed that part of my pukka project pad is to be devoted to recipes, and the very first recipe is for your welsh cakes!!!:T :T :rotfl: I've written it in, and as soon as this weather breaks I shall make some! I've not had them for absolute ages, can't wait!! If you're still online when I post this how much cinnamon should I use, 1 tsp?
Oh well, you've gone off-line while I've posted! If you see this in the morning I'd really appreciate a reply:D pretty please:DI'm crawling here!! I've never made Welshcakes before but I bought all the ingredients when I went shopping today! EXcept Sainsbury didn't have Welsh butter so I bought English, sorry!!:o
