    Hello guys!!!!

Big Hello's and Hugs to all my OS family, I havent read the boards at all since my last posting but will be on more often now.

Well, I've finally got the broadband!!! Its wireless too so the world is a much better place for me today. Works out cheaper per month than the dialup (thanks to :money: tips on the phones board).

Its been so long now since I was into the MSE way of thinking, no-thats not entirely true, I ALWAYS think the MSE way but its the practise bit thats been eluding me of late. There has been SO MANY bits and pieces with the move, things that needed doing straight away, other bits we thought we may as well do while the money was there.........................well, the money has damn near gone now and its time to start the belt tightening again.

I am having driving lessons again and have a test booked for Sept(not gonna tell you the date cause I've failed 3 of them, this ones a secret!!!). So once I've passed we can get a car for a bit more independance. Sounds lovely but cant afford to get a car unless I'm working, cant work unless i've got a car - vicous circle that one. There is a lot of evening work at both ASDA and TESCO about 7ish miles from where I am so hopefully I can get some of that.

Off to search the voucher boards now as I am going to get back into having tesco deliver, saves me buying all those impulse bits and bobs and also helps when theres extra points coupons around(saving up for a hotel in london for when mums here at xmas).

    Will be back later-PROMISE.

    Love to all,
    Al.

Very frustrated with MSN as did an upgrade to 8 this morning and its lost all of my contacts  so can my OS friends please invite me in again when your on - fank oo:j (has anyone else had this problem?)

    Nels xx

I know the feeling ... I'm sitting here with half a list of contacts .... I did a search ... and apparently it's a known problem which they are currently working on. Mind you, I manually added some of my contacts again ... and they've disappeared again, so bit fed up of this so called upgrade. It's more a beta than a release .. I just I'd have realised that before I did it. Serves me right for not reading the blurb I guess.

Hi there KiwiChick!! Fab to see you back, sounds like you've got the biggest changes behind you now. Good luck with the driving lessons.

I've been back home from w*** since about 10.30 am - was so tired and unable to keep my eyes open I threw in the towel and took the rest of the day as holiday. I got a few hours more kip, but you know what, I am still wrecked! Thankfully I have all of next week off w***, not that I want to spend it sleeping of course, but it'll give me a chance to go to the GP and so on.

Ted insisted on being let out this morning - yes, I know, I am my own worst enemy. It is v.warm at the moment so he's probably snoozing in a hedgerow somewhere. I do hope he's not got a second home, I don't want to share him. If he doesn't come back for a while I will try and not be so anxious about it...possibly easier said than done. I made such a fuss of him when he got back yesterday and he really enjoyed that, so with a bit of luck he'll be back soon to get another lot of big cuddles, pats and kisses.

Shez - have you tried using a slow cooker for these hot days so that your dinner is bubbling away while you're at the office? How is your job now that you've been there a few weeks? Has it improved?

MimiF - I would have done exactly the same with any polyester touching my skin! Ugh, the thought of it in this heat. Linen is lovely and cool but that point is lost when they go and line a garment in something as uncool as polyester.

BargainRzl - well done on getting through the mortgage appointment, fingers and toes crossed that you're smitten by the flats and that you get the pick of them.

AussieLass - sorry to hear that your DS is still in hospital. It does sound like an embarrassing illness of some sort - don't feel too bad about speculating, though your imagination seems to have got the better of you. At least it put a smile on DS's face.

    Bye for now all.

    Afternoon Guys

    Welcome back KiwiChick..missed ya:D

Havent done too much really. 2 washloads done, dried and taken upstairs, sorted some paperwork, made 2 calls, few more items listed on ebay and have just started sorting tea. DW will be put on after tea and have half done DD's packed lunch for tomorrow.

OH & I watched a film together this morning and then his uncle popped in and stayed for nearly 2hrs...always the way isnt it! Have a nice breeze coming through the house. Have front and back window in the lounge and OH put the huge parasol up outside the window so the sun wouldnt burn in and worked out well...definitly kept it cooler:T

Quick question! I have just done some lovely couscous with left over onion, peppers, black olives and mushroom with a stock cube and tastes delish....but can it be stored in the fridge ok if not all eaten today and eaten maybe tomorrow:confused: ...never done it before and dont want to kill dd or OH:eek: ....well not intentially anyway;)

In the post this morning received a freebie conditioner, a full size Rimmel foundation and some vouchers (that I can use in Asda/Tescos etc) i bought off Ebay. Im running very low on vouchers and needed some more so bought £100 worth for £5 and the date is by dec 2006. Does anyone know of any other easier way to receive coupons/vouchers? I sign up to anything and everything:o
OH & DD have gone to test drive the car AGAIN:eek:   ...found out yesterday that I should be able to claim VAT back as Im disabled which will knock a total of £6500 off the car but have to pay £900 for a swivel seat so its easier for me to get in and out...but still means we are saving on top an extra £1350 so its definitly worth it. Still havent decided yet, although OH reckons he has. Such a big purchase but we have got a great deal on 0% and CC only has 3 more payments and we wont owe anything to anyone! Makes me feel sick thinking of it:cool:

Have changed tonights dinner menu to a use the fridge up buffet:D Ham, cheese, couscous, boiled eggs, coleslaw, salad and bread rolls;) ....nice and easy too. Also made a jelly for desert and have some cream that needs using.

Anyway, Id best go and turn the eggs off as they will be super boiled and rubbery...yukkkk!!

    Hugs everyone!

BTW-Has anyone seen Queenie? She hasnt posted for a while and wondered if she was ok:confused:

I spoke to Queenie last night and she is just fine but very busy with the end of school week :)

One point re testing samples generally you sign an agreement specifically not to mention products outside of immediate family and especially on online forums/websites :D

It is so hot today I can't fill the washing machine quick enough before the previous load has dried on the line.

Kids are all outside enjoying their holiday sunshine and I am enjoying the peace :)

I didnt sign anything and dont even know where the product is from as in a plain bottle, but have deleted my referance to it anyway.

Glad Q's OK. DD has had her year 6 production today and we are viewing tomorrow:eek: ...i think I know all the songs better than her:o
