Aussie I am defo not jealous of the cold - we will have plenty of that to moan about soon enough for sure - dont you just love the brits!!

Am now back to normal with MSN think it just needed turning off and turning back on again. As for as joining MSN aussie you will need to download messenger from the Microsoft web site and then add emails to your contact list then off you go - its pretty easy honest ( I have sent you my email for a trial if you decide to have a go:D )

Off to a lunch time bbq now at my mates brothers catering unit - should be fun and its free:j

Cat please send that breeze my way? We do have a breeze here but it's a hot one!

DH has scuppered my plans for a Kenwood Chef! I thought my smoothie maker had died yesterday so that cleared room in the kitchen but DH prodded it back into life this morning so I no longer have a spare place :(

Lisa enjoy tonight, I hope it will have cooled down a little by then.

Nicki, are you sure that your car insurance would go up if you were on the policy? I know you'd be a new driver, but I was talking (not about you) to some friends last night whose car insurance has gone DOWN since "she" was added to "his" policy. You are female and over 25 - that's got to be a good starting point, right?

I know, could just be the shopbots being hopeless so I'm going to look into it again but not today as it's too hot and I've been out shopping since 10am. Anyone wanting to go to Ireland this weekend should be able to walk as I'm about to drink the Irish sea dry I'm so thirsty since I got in!!!:rotfl:

Just got back from town with a couple of bargins :D
    • TKMaxx is having a clearance sale (noticed it yesterday when in town with OH but I know he hates that place :rotfl: ) managed to get a holdall style coolbag (30cm x 43cm x 30cm deep) RRP £12.95 TKMaxx £5.99 :T It will go great with our rucksack version I bought the other week and means I can now pack 2 litre bottles of frozen water in with the lunches when we go on a trip and I have more room to fridge/freezer stuff when we go shopping as the rucksack just was not big enough :D Will still use the rucksack though, its handy when I need to buy milk, cheese and fruit but nothing else and will also still do when we go for walks :D
    • Went into Poundland and they had their Christmas stock on clearance so I bought :

    • Bus pass £2.10 when I've gotten a total of 4 buses as I went on a detour as a bus I haven't been on for ages pulled up at the bus stop as I was about to walk past and I thought "Nice day, lets go for a ride" :rotfl: The minimum cost would have been £4+ for all the bus trips :D
Right, it's boiling hot, I'm sweaty as anything :o and I have an hour before I have to go and pick DD up ...I think I'll go for a bath ;) Later

Good Afternoon to all, at work and we are all working really hard as we're short staffed. Office is nice and cool though and I froze a bottle of water overnight so am enjoying that as it defrosts.

Have had great news - have got a job interview next Tuesday for another better paid job.:T Can't stop thinking about it and had a nightmare last night yikes I have a presentation and load of preparation before Tuesday.

Some calm thoughts from the other old stylers would be much appreciated. Keep cool

    GardenMillie,

Best of luck! and remember to breathe! I went through months of interviews looking for a permanent position instead of the temp one I was in. You just have to think that it always works itself out, no point stressing about it, I stressed for some interviews and came across nervous and underconfident. You'll get the perfect job whether it's this one or another one. If you don't get this one it's their loss and someone else will see you're perfect for an even better position.

If I don't get a job I tend to think; well, obviously it's not the right place for me. Somewhere I'll really enjoy working will spot it in my interview and offer me the job.

Been to see the mortgage advisor, all is fine (as I thought it would be) ... He said it wasn't worth issuing a formal Approval in Principle for a mortgage which (because it's just part of a shared ownership) is only about 2.3 times my salary ... but I insisted ... I want a piece of paper to prove to the HA that I'm serious :D ... Then came back to the office via Jones Bootmaker where I managed not to spend anything even though I love their stuff and it's now 70% off sale items :D
