Not been on all weekend due to work.Last night had a great night out after work!:D went to a concert and firework show in the grounds of Ludlow castle. It was the tribute bands for T-Rex and The Rolling Stones and both were excellent!:D It was a lovely atmosphere, everyone takes chairs and picnics and as it turns dark boogie away!
Back to it today though! just vacuumed the whole house and done the ironing now having a coffee before I go to work.
Hope you dont all frazzle in the heat today!;)

Morning :hello: ... Went to bed late last night as I stayed up to watch part of a concert on BBC4 (a repeat of one of last year's Proms, which I was at, in fact during the interval feature I spotted myself moving around in the background!), then didn't sleep well because of the heat so am a bit of a wreck this morning ... It's my first day in my new job ... Only 1 floor away from where I was before, and nearer the door, water machine, loo and kitchen
... Much as I wish it was still the weekend, it's nice to be back in an air-conditioned building ... New department, which I used to work for before up until 15 months ago, has big deadlines coming up and the place has clearly been going to rack and ruin without me  ... Have been onto the Halifax to sort out the money I paid into my ISA by accident
... Tonight my housemate has an IT-whizz mate coming over to configure his new PC, and hopefully fix our broadband which wasn't working at all over the weekend ... In the meantime I've got to post from work with no paragraph breaks as you can see  ... Must work out what to cook this evening for the rest of this week's lunches ... P.S. Am wearing fab new top (£5), bra (£5) and shoes (£35) from shopping spree with Nelski last Wednesday ... Hope everybody's OK ... must go, and will try to post something interesting later! ... Rzl

Hi All,
Its my day off today so its also housework day. Far too hot to be vacuuming but I may sweat off a few pounds! Will have to have a shower before fetching DD2 from school later. DD1 is now walking by herself. (Its only 5 mins up the road) on Friday they had a water fight with their water bottles on the way home and she landed on the doorstep dripping.
My DD's have "change over day" on Wednesday, when all the schools in the area go up to their next classes/new schools. DD2 is moving up to the juniors, and DD1 will be in her last year at juniors. They are both pleased with their new teachers, DD1's new teacher is "seriously cool" apparently. They are quite excited as this is the first time that they will see each other at school. Next year will be a biggie as DD1 goes off to "big" school.
I'm really quite excited because we have never grown edible stuff before and I have loads of stuff coming along in the garden, Im going to go out and pick some peas later.
Right I am going to make tracks in this housework, I wont give any hugs 'cos its too hot for them, but blown kisses to anyone in need of one,and huge sympathies to the pregnant ladies amongst us.

By the way, I meant to say in my previous message ... does anybody have a copy of the Times from last Wednesday (28th June)? ... I wasn't able to get one on way to see Nels because I was short of time having had the ticket machine swallow my credit card  ... I have just found out that this issue of the Times contained the obituary of somebody I know, so I'd be very grateful for a copy! Thanks, Rzl

Hello all,
Its too hot isn't it?
Yesterday we drove up to Costco and did our quarterly shop there. The car was like a greenhouse! We discovered that we had probably been feeding the cat next-door-but-one for a few years! We normally buy a big bag of food every quarter .They have moved away and our cats food is lasting twice as long. We did catch her in our house a lot !
Saturday I made a dress form using gummed paper and an old T shirt.I waited for the others to go off to their Karate and then stood in front of a mirror and taped myself up. When it was dry ,I cut myself out up the side and then taped it together. It did feel odd, like wearing a roman soldiers breast plate.Good thing nobody could see in through the windowIm going to do the 'pants' form next saturday.
Looking at it, I don't think I could have bought a dress form that was my shape however hard I looked. I have Very Wide shoulders.
In Asda yesterday , I bought my DD's green tea and thought they overcharged me ,so feeling very daring, I asked the customer service lady if I was right .She checked and I was, so she gave me a £2 discount card for my next shopping trip and the 10p I had been overcharged :T
OH is getting his motorcycle assessed for damage and cost of repair today, so we'll know what the insurance company are going to do about it. The mechanic at the motorbike shop thought they might write it off even though it is still rideable as the frame is bent. We have been having phone calls all week from various 'Sharks' about what we can claim for and really some of them are very petty things .
Well Im off to get the bread out of the machine and then probably go and buy some more gummed paper.

Morning all :hello:
Shez - good luck in the new job
Mushypeas - good luck with the interview
Penny-Pincher - good luck at the hospital today (Just realised you'll already be there by now)
Its roasting hot here and I'm stuggling to stay awake.
Friday night we went to see Rocky Horror Show and one of the performers went to LIPA the same as me:D . His picture in the programme looks familiar but I can't find any reference to him on friends reunited and I'm too tired to try and work out/register for the alumni website for LIPA:rotfl:It's got to be the best £50 we've spent in a while except maybe for the young lads in thongs, suspenders and corsets :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I just hope that they all came in taxis/cars and not on the train/buses/ferries :rotfl::rotfl:
Its too hot to do housework, too hot to think really, but I've got to go and put some washing out on the line (towels again as we're having so many baths at the minute to cool down....boy do I miss our shower in our old house).
I better get going before it gets too hot to put the washing out. Laters :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning all
Not a great night here either...... Was up and down all night coughing and struggling with breathing.. Think it was due to Hayfever, any other sufferers had the coughs this year? I had the injection about 2 weeks ago but it hasn;t helped much at all this year.
Made the weetabix brownies at the weekend - DSS loved them - He was in the pool when I took one out and when I gave it him he was "It's alright" then 10 mins later he dried himself off whilst I was reading and I could hear him attacking them in the kitchen! Also made banana bread, half for mum and half for DP - I resisted and had one small brownie.
We had a fire drill this morning at work so it was nice to be out in the sun! But i'm wheezing now i'm back in the office.
Started to do Reebok rythmic power video last night but kept losing track, it's lots of dance type moves, what with that and the wheezing I gave it up as a bad job after 25mins......
So far I have lost 15ibs which I think is reasonable it's been 8 weeks. It's 6 weeks until I go on holiday so have 5 more weigh in's, hope fully I can make it to 25ibs off which is just 3ib's short of my weight when I went away last year!
Breakfast - Fruit and fibre
Lunch - Turkey and crayfish salad
Tea - Chicken jalfrazi
DP has his wisdom teeth out tomorrow so I am playing nurse maid for a few days.
Enjoy the sun!

Hiya :hello:
Taken DS's to school, had another "Bowen Technique" and I have to say it's working - although I've no idea howCame home and I've put DW, WM and BM on. SC has brisket in it ready for tonight. Need to whip the vac round soon too and mop the kitchen floor.
I have a phone mystery shopping job to do soon... I'll leave it until after I've collected DS2 from pre-school. I did the bare minimum of ironing last night so need toget to rips with that soon. I only have 3 loads on the line as well, ATM
Ok, gonna love ya and leave ya, must get on. Have a good day.

Hi Again
Back from hospital and all went OK.....well Im still here anyway:DSomeone kindly PM'd me last week about travel costs etc being on Income Support and have never claimed them before. Went to the office this morning with me Warfarin book and they back dated 7 trips £21...so thanks!!
Dont faint everyone but I have completed my essay which was due last wednesday:o, so must get started on the next one which is due end of July:eek:
OH has an exam tomorrow so he has his head in the books ATM too..lol.
BargainRzl-OH is a computer wizz too, so if you get stuck just give me a call.
Its so hot here today, at least yesterday there was a good breeze. Dont even want to hang the washing out as I have a dark load to do and think it may bleach some of them so they will be put on the airer to dry.
OH is popping to the post office after school and the bank to pay the CC bill and hopefully setting up DD's new bank account. From next month she will be getting her increased allowance and she gets a solo/electron card with it, so she can be grown up and pay for goods either in shops or on line:rolleyes:
Anyway, Id best go as Im starving!
Hugs to all.
