There is 6 lemons left, and as for the foot scrub rub thing - that sounds ace! I might give that one a go tomorrow - I will have to buy a beffer first though, like a ped egg or something similar as mine is so old and has lost all its 'grateness' lol

I shall have a nosey at the salted lemon recipe too :)
    Thanks guys x

i have loads of lemons too, and am looking to try something new with them instead of the usual "lemon stuffed chicken" and "lemon drizzle cake", so will keep an eye on this thread
  • I've a lamb one-pot dish using lemon, is delicious and looks (and tastes) like you have spent hours over the stove.

    Will post it tomorrow :)

I seem to remember a lemon mousse recipe that you served in the lemon skin, may have to google that one, lol.
    • You could do Lemon & Garlic Roast Chicken
    • Preserve them and use them in Moroccan Dishes
    • Slice them on to a plate and put in the freezer (when frozen put in a bag and you'll have a slice ready for G&T or in my case water);)
Goal - We want to be mortgages free :j

    Lemon bars are gorgeous.

Click for a recipe - I've used a recipe from Martha Stewart Cookies but these are almost identical.

I don't know how well it would work with sweetener instead of sugar, but I'd be quite interested to find out.

Pancakes, either with lemon squeezed over or in an orange and lemon sauce.

    Hi all,

I have dillegently made my first menu plan, helped by all the advice on here, so thank you. I have baked teabreads instead of buying snack bars and I am left with two 'bald' lemons!

All the recipes I can find require lemon zest- which I have already used. I have a recipe for lemon drizzle cake, which also needs zest. So I need to find a recipe to use the lemon juice. I have been on the bbc good food website and the recipes seem quite complicated (thus meaning I need more ingredients) or again require zest.

Does anyone have a recipe that uses up fresh lemon juice please? It may be something totally obvious- so as I am new to the thrift board, please be patient!

    Thanks for any help.

I sometimes use lemon juice in risotto. It can also be used to make salad dressings or drizzled on fish.

If none of your recipes for the week's menu needs it, you could freeze the lemon juice in an ice cube tray.
