  • Welcome back RedRuby

  • I jointed this site about two years ago and took part in lots of challenges. I no longer join in as money saving has become a way of life. i still cook from scratch and am always on the lookout for a bargain (even OH does it now). save all our change in a sealed tin, shop from my wardrobe, make soup from bits and pieces, save on elec and gas, do not use drier, meal plan and keep to budget. I could not change if I tried. Wish I had done all this years ago, I wasted so much money I could weep. Well done everybody, I still lurke for fresh ideas.
  • Hi gang, just had eldest DD round for a couple of hours on her own which was lovely. Not often she can grab some time away from her family, but they are all out tonight, and she had to pick her OH up from my local station as he was having his firm's Christmas meal tonight in Faversham (canceleed before Christmas because of bad weather) so didn't want to drive so he could have a pint. Her DD was at a party and her DS was babysitting with his girlfriend so I had DD all to myself for a couple of hours and it was great.
Sat and drank coffee and ate too many chocolate biscuits and done our nails .
Tomorrow I am taking DGS Ben to see 'The Road' as we both love the cinema and as I have a cinema exhibitors ticket it only costs the price of one ticket (very OS)for the two of us. Hope its not too depressing though.
Ben is missing his fishing bless him, roll on the summer.
Hope everyone had a good day,its nice to see the snow dissapearing at last.I had my hair trimmed and look quite shorn now but its a lot easier to manage.
Well I'm off to have some supper I think just some cocoa, no more biscuits or I shall be rolling up to bed.
    Night all, God Bless

Good to see you back Ruby, we missed you!

Csarina...I use washing soda in wm as water is hard...we have a mains supply and a well.....allegedly *arpic is best toilet cleaner with sceptic tank...I usually use bicarb and vinegar and find that it works well.
