That's an important job too Essex girl!

Morning all. DOn't feel quite as gloomy as I did at this time yesterday, in spite of the gloom outside. is it wet and windy everywhere? Poor girl next door, they can't seem to get her car sorted. Her dad was bump starting it again for her this morning in the pouring rain.

I had cornflakes for breakfast, very lazy.
Have some red pepper hummus in the fridge, so will make an attempt to be better at lunchtime.
DH will be back this afternoon, so need to think of a nice dinner to have. Pref something that doesn't take too long to make! Have a few things on my list to do.

Apart from that it's on with the housework in a very gentle sort of way, still trying to give my arms plenty of rest and not over do it. Maybe just need to do plenty of tidying to give the impression that something has happened this week.

    Morning all :)

Bit of a wet day here, but the snow is starting to shift :j

Mum and dad are on their way over. They've bought me a new microwave so I have been sorting out the one I've got, ready for them to swap them over.

Mum's done some shopping for us, as well, so will need to make some cupboard space, as we're doing pretty well on food stuffs - won't need to shop for a while :)

DDs have just got up, so going to sort porridge for DD2 now.

Dinner tonight is fish pie for DD2 and myself, and spaghetti bolognese for DD1.

Hope you all have a good day.

I haven't caught up yet, but will do so when I get a chance, throughout the day :)

Morning.Raining hard but lots of snow and ice still around.Had to give the dog a towel dry when we got in-he's sleeping it off now.

Not much planned today really-good tidy up,some washing and ironing, then some more sewing this aft.DS1 is away to the Peak District for the weekend, goes later on,so he won't need any tea.We are having Thai prawn curry to use up some that have been in the freezer for ages,DS2 will have a hm turkey and leek pie, also from the freezer. He is off on his snowboarding hol early Sunday,he's nearly packed,so we can look forward to a quiet week.

We have planned to ask some friends to stay over next Friday- with DS being away they can use his room ,but we were going to our local pub for Tapas, they really enjoyed it last time.Calamity though...DH came back from his quiz night and said they've shut the kitchen for now as they weren't making money. Not surprised really,we used to get loads of food for the money. So now we have to look at other options -me cooking,or takeaway,or go somewhere else, which will be more expensive.I'll have a
look through my recipes later, but I wanted to go out really, not been out since before Xmas.

    Anyway better get on.
Sequeena -hope you feel better soon, keep cuddling with the dogs.
Well done to Miss Pen pen ,and Master Specsappeal :j

    Have a good day.x

    Afternoon All

The rain here has now stopped and most of ice has now gone. Didn't get chance to post yesterday due to ds1 being on computer and spending 3 hours at the hosp with ds2. Ds2 is due to be admitted on Monday to have the pins out of his leg, hopefully he is down just to be in for the day but that depends on what time he goes down to Theatre and how he reacts to the anastectic.

WM on yet again. lunch was remainder of hm lentil soup. Dinner tonight will be salmon, new potatoes and veg. still need to get christmas decorations in loft as they are still being stored in my room!

Today my son has had his first lot of home tuition, feel quite angry:mad: that it has taken from the 16th November to sort out. If it wasn't for his teaching assistant coming out he wouldn't have had anything apart from what I am trying to do with him.

PenPen - well done to your DD.

specsappeal - well done to your DS.

sequeena - hope you feel better soon.

Jackieglasgow - hope you find some time to rest a little.

Benw - I hope you get everything sorted with the tax office.

NPM - glad to hear your ds is better, hope you feel better soon too.

Enjoy the rest of your day. Hugs to anyone that needs or wants one(((()))).

Sequeena - can totally relate to how you're feeling, as I've got a similar thing. Woke yesterday feeling really sick and with awful diahorrea (sp). Made it to work, but came home after an hour as had to keep running to the loo. Spent day in bed and on toilet.

Night time I hardly slept and had awful stomach ache, so am off again today. I haven't pooed today, so hopefully am getting better. Lost 5lbs from yesterday though, shows you how much I was on the loo!

Slept all morning today, but trying to stay away now so I sleep tonight. Am aiming to be back at work tomorrow if I feel well enough, I hope I do.

Can't remember what anyone else has said, head like mush, sorry. :o

    Hello everyone!

Our snow has gone now. Just trying to get washing and mainly drying done! It's the towels that are the worst! All housework stuff done apart from ironing now and think about what to have for tea:o

Decided I would have a go at James Martin's spotted !!!!!! recipe so went and got some currants - cant believe how expensive currants are compared to other dried fruit?!

Kids have got horse riding later, glad its milder today - last week it was absolutely blooming freezing in the indoor arena (tin roof building). Although DS has said he doesnt want to go anymore, plus he doesnt want to move up to cubs in March - not quite sure why he suddenly lost interest? maybe the cold weather and rather stay in and play Wii games:rolleyes:

Misspennypenguin/master specsappeal- Well Done and congratulations!!:T:T

enjoy the rest of yr day all! xx:D
