I just applied and got accepted for the current account (went via quidco for a cheeky £45 cashback too
)
Debating when to apply for the 0% card. I've got £10,000 on a 0% card that doesn't run out for 5 months.
I just noticed the minimum monthly repayments are 2.25% for the zero, so £225 a month for me. My current card is only 1%.
Is 2.25% monthly pretty standard for a balance transfer card? My current offer is on purchases.
And any clue when this offer might run out so I can time my application? I'm guessing it could just disappear at any time.0 -
are some people actually getting accepted instantly for this?
i went through the application and it didnt specifically say one thing or another, it just said to keep my reference number for future use.
thank you.
I called them to make the application and they told me there and then I had been approved.0 -
I applied last week and haven't heard anything back yet. How long does it usually take them to contact you? Should I contact them?Total debt at lightbulb moment (Jan 2010): £23410

Thanks CannyJock. Not heard of Egg Money card, how does that work?
Best way to see the mechanics is to read the steps on the stoozing guide, where the Egg Money card is part of the process for routing funds from a credit card to your current account.

Thanks for this, very interested!
I have an £8k limit on my current credit card though, and would probably be looking for around £4k on this (my balance is just over £3k)0 -
so, if i am given a 10k limit, how do i get the cash to stooze? i have no egg card.0

I've just c*cked it up lol, I've applied through the normal customer link but i'm an existing customer, i didn't even notice there were different deals, trying to move my Virgin Money transfer from august like a few other people!0

Hi, Does anyone know if you have to do all the BT when you sign up or if you can wait until after you get the card and then trf like with Virgin??
I was hoping to use the card abroad first, then pay off the blance and trf by virgin blance from Aug.0 -
If you put it in the application they will generally process it when the account is activated, some will let you change them though when you activate the card. Otherwise though you normally have 30 -60 days to do your transfers so you should be ok with what you plan to do!0
