Terms and conditions say that you cannot transfer from other Santander accounts/products.

I couldn't see anything about how long the fee-free balance transfer lasts for - all it says in the Summary Box is that if you have a Santander account already, your fee is 0.

Bear in mind that the 12 months interest free BT is from the date of the account opening, so waiting a while to transfer balance will reduce how much interest free time you have once transferred.

I'm actually in a similar boat - my 0% card doesn't run out till July. I get the feeling I'd need to take advantage of this before then otherwise it might disappear, but who knows how long it'll last for?

i guess existing customer does not cover existing customer with an abbey zero card (but no current account / mortgage).

How huge is huge? Looking to apply for one of these in February if still available once my Virgin card is updated to Settled. Looking for at least 10K to stooze.
£10k huge. And a later post suggests that £10k is not unreasonable - despite what the Complaints person (who had an incentive to mislead) said to me.

It says under How To Apply to have employment details ready. Does anyone know if they accept applications successfully if you're not in employment?

    Thanks!!

Existing customer means you must currently have a Santander current account or mortgage (or be in the process of applying for one). You can't get another Santander credit card if you already hold one.

You can go through the application process and cancel before the end to see if it rejects you.

You can't get one if you've already got a Santander Zero card.
