Wow, they actually phoned me back when they said they would, apologised profusely and said to send in the agreement, then when I came to make a balance transfer to ring them and they'd make sure I wasn't charged for it.
Only thing is- I've gone and lost the Freepost envelope they sent. Could some kind soul please post up the address for me? Thanks a lot in advance.0 -

Declined, pah!
Applied on the 1st February and have been patiently waiting ever since, got a bit bored of that today and chased it up. Despite holding a current account with Santander for two years which has been run impeccably and have a pre tax personal income of over 40k they have declined my application.
There's no defaults, ccjs or missed payments on my credit file. I can only guess that it's because I put down that I would pay the balance off in full at the end of each month and that I had no credit history pre 2008. I've only just been accepted by Tesco Clubcard Credit Card so I guess this wasn't on my file when I applied so I've got no history of managing credit.
Bummer as I wanted this to use on a month travelling abroad.

The application process on these cards is ridiculous.... a month to get the forms, then 2 weeks and counting for the card. They must be inundated0

Update on my application..
..third set of credit agreement forms arrived yesterday despite having already signed and sent back the first set (along with the copy of the ID they requested)
My wifes application has also turned into a complete shambles.
Card finally arrived, so called Santander to get online access to manage the account. After speaking to two different departments, someone gave her a security number, then said hold the line to set up security. Nothing happened and the line went dead.
On calling back, got passed from pillar to post (mostly in Mumbai) and was eventually told that the department who would deal with the problem had all gone home and to call back the next day.
Called back the next day..apparently the "technical problem with the card" would take 10 working days to fix! I told them "I have the card...looks fine to me! Can't see any problems with it that would take 10 days to fix"
Ten days later, a PIN arrives in the post! Yahay..is this it? No..I'm still missing an online userid. Called again...given about three different 0845 numbers to call..no one can help...eventually ask to speak to customer services...oh..customer services "system" has been down for the past four days apparently!
What an absolute shambles...my only option is now to complain to the ombudsman about them as their own complaints department can't even register our complaint!
If it wasn't for the Stoozing opportunity I'd have given up a month ago on the second set of forms...will have to wait to submit my complaint though in case I get charged the dreaded 3% BT fee!0 -
Received second set of terms and conditions and ID request this morning .... ho hum .....
