Strikes announced for March 20 - 22 and 27 - 30 inclusive. However, there will be a(nother) ballot in the meantime, the result of which could see the strike cancelled.
Thankfully I am not affected - I fly on the 31st. However I do now need to make plans that I should have been able to make weeks ago. Hope this does not cause too much disruption for others?Gone ... or have I?0 -
I'm on the 24th - biggest danger is planes out of place due to strike action impacting on flights for people on subsequent days. Although I'm guessing bookings have been lower, there's the chance of pulling flights together and the dreaded involuntary downgrades!Legal team on standby0

Good point - I'm flying to PHL and there are only two flights a day. I don't think I'll be downgraded, I know someone who should ensure that doesn't happen (just need to do some big old sweet talking beforehand!). However I would volunteer to be bumped - I could fly out later or even the next day and still do what I need to in Philadelphia before heading to NYC.Gone ... or have I?0 -
PHL is still 767's right ? (I've been once before) They've got a better lounge now, right ? Rather than the underground dungeon.
edit
If possible you may wish to consider flying London City to JFK, which they've promised won't be affected. I'm guessing availability on that route will be snapped up quickly now.Legal team on standby0 -
I am due to fly out to Dubai on 31st at midday so I am worried that flights will still be disrupted and we HAVE to be in Dubai by 10am on 1st April for my treat that I have saved up very hard for.
Fingers crossed that the staff decide not to strike.0 -
Great!
My parents fly to Vegas from Glasgow (Via Heathrow) with BA on the 20th March. They fly home on the 26th/27th March!
Had it booked since September!
First time they have flown BA and prob be the last!
Was even speaking to an BA cabin crew member Last week and they said they didn't think there would be a strike. So maybe this new ballot going around might be what they were meaning!
Other wise going to have to see if any airline can take them to vegas that week as it's the only week they could spare as they have other travel plans booked later in the year.0 -
The union representing British Airways cabin crew has said its members will go on strike for three days from 20 March and for four days from 27 March.
The union confirmed it would not strike over Easter, but warned there could be further action after 14 April if a resolution had not been agreed.
The union will also ballot its members on a new offer from BA but said it could not recommend it.
BA said it was "extremely disappointed" that Unite had announced strike action.
Crew members voted to strike last month over pay and working conditions.

If a strike does go ahead, we are intending to operate a range of flights.
Not all our flights will be cancelled.
We are currently finalising our flight schedules for the strike period and have temporarily stopped selling seats on all flights operating on the strike dates.
We will finalise these schedules in the next few days and further information will be posted here as soon as it is available.
The most up to date information is given below and at this stage our call centre agents will not have any additional information regarding which flights are operating during the strike period.

Hi Guys,
Please can someone give me some help?
Unite have said that further strike action may take place after the 14th April.
Does this mean they will have to give another 7days notice before they strike?
I am travelling to Vegas on the 20th April so have a few worries over this?
Thanks
Danny0
