Just found a message that says it'll be tomorrow now!:(

That message was posted yesterday, so hopefully you should get some news in the next few hours.

I do have sympathy - I am now setting about rebooking my hotels for New York - not easy considering I got bargain rates for my original booking. :o

Hey you guys who have flights confirmed how did you find out I have still not heard anything and BA website has not been updated :(

Luckily I booked a package, so I got an email from lastminute.com who I booked with, stating that BA had confirmed the flight details with them- Of course, it could all still go wrong, but considering that the consensus is that Gatwick is (largely) unaffected, I'm hopeful that the flight will still be on come Sunday.

  • Hi,
The latest confirmed flying schedules have just been updated on BA.com.
Arrivals and departures is accurate up to and including 30th March, to check if your flight is affected.

I hope this helps with your travel plans.

my flight to New York has been cancelled for Monday however, I rang BA and they got me on a flight on Sunday. Now just spent 2 hour and £200 + quid reorganising hotel bookings, dog kennels and car parking!
but at least I'm booked in a seat! On the wings will be fine at this stage!

Woo! Just looked on the website and it say all Gatwick flights are running as normal, and that it is mainly Heathrow that is affected. Thank heavens for that, it's a weight off my mind.

I say that, I'm still worried. Probably with no reason, but worried. Oh well, on to the stress of packing!

No, you should be grateful you have a job.

Exactly!!!! I bet there are loads of people out there who have been made redundant, that would snap up a job with BA instantly. BA staff don't relise how lucky they are, there are thousands of people jobless much worse off than them.
