Good evening flyladies and fellow OS'ers.

Done booger all flying hence why i am here, don't want to be in trouble for posting non flying chat on fly thread:o

Spent half the day at the hospital with LO as she was being tested for cystic fibrosis. Really hoping that test comes back negative!

Other than that we have had a lazy day, too late to take her back to school after the hospital so we went to John Lewis and she spent her christmas money and i treated her to a gingerbread man in the cafe.

To add my tuppence worth to the BF debate, i'm so glad my midwife was of the opinion 'happy mummy = happy baby'. She told me to do what felt right and i tried BF but couldn't get to grips with it and LO didnt get enough so switched to bottle with high calorie milk as she has other health issues and needed it. I didnt feel under any pressure or a failure because i couldn't do it and it was much appreciated as we had so much else going on after the birth the last thing i needed was someone trying to make me feel bad about my choice!

    Evening all

G&B fingers crossed for the negative result for your little angle

    Zippy - well done!

Jo - I love the alpine ski and free ski but my thighs are aching too much today to go on.

Done over half of the file which I'm pleased with.

Off to the Panto now so I'll see you all tomorrow. Have a good evening.

    Evening all

Had a busy day today Not really caught up properly with the thread, just skimmed through to get the gist of what has been going on.

I BF one daughter and bottle fed the second as my circumstances had changed. Both daughters ended up happy and healthy and I am equally close to both so I am firmly of the opinion that it is just personal choice and whatever makes you and the baby happy!

The man finally came to repair my fridge/freezer today, it broke down the week before christmas and we have been waiting for a part ever since. I have to leave it 24 hours before filling it with food to make sure they have cured the problem. I am like a kid with a new toy! We were lucky that we had the chest freezer upstairs and borrowed a tiny medicine fridge for milk and cheese but it will be so nice to have it working properly again.

Been practicing my knitting today and now am crocheting a lovely red colour hat/beret for DD1. Am thinking that I would quite like to do a flower to go on the brim so if anyone has a VERY easy pattern for flowers I would be very grateful.

Other than that I have been out and about this morning shopping as the roads were so much better, paid some bills, cleaned house and made a quick spag bol for tea when repairman went - so all in all productive day!

((((Hugs)))) to anyone who needs or just would like one.

    Have a good evening all
