Maybe we should come up with some sort of secret hand signal/sign that identifies us as OS'ers?
bit like the Masons ,sort of rolling up your trouser leg and baring your left breast:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I'm in a daft mood tonight.I took Ben to the dentist, and the little beast again needed no treatment, how unfair is that I have to go next week to see my new chap i do hope he is gentle with me:D ben came out grinning like a loon and 'OK Granny nothing more for another 6 months' Still we are going to see The Road on Saturday as a treat for us both, so I guess I'll forgive him.
Stayed and had dinner at my DDs house, and she has sold three houses in the past week, bearing in mind the resession, the snow and its January a normally slow month for estate agents her boss thinks she is whizzy wonderful,I agree, but then I think she is great anyway.
School run in the morning so I'm off to bed
Night night God Bless to all here
Hope I have a better night tonight

I forgot to add my twopenneth about BFing but now I don't need to as you said it all really. :A It would be nice if all mums gave it a shot but no new mother should feel under pressure to do anything. Luckily mine took to it easily and I know I could never have managed to bottle feed twins.
Thanks for the thoughts Floss but how did you magic my words into Lamewolf's quote?:p:D
Sorry Zippy but that Cat is giving me evils. The light's behind her don't help. She looks like she's in hell. She's not related to this one is she? I'd hate to see her if she wasn't happy with the cushion. I've placed a warning on the knitters thread just to be on the safe side.
I've calmed down after a chat with Pink on the phone, even if I was competing with the remote control for her attention.:p:D
She's having a special guest for tea on Sunday so she's putting on the veg now so they're lovely and mushy by then and she's hidden the bisto in the cupboard under the sink.
Glad you had a good day Jackie. x
Ok I really am off now.

Evening everyone :hello:
I think I am packed, and the car is almost loaded, just bits to add in the morning, and WW3 has not broken out:rolleyes:;)
Sorry to hear about the bad payers H-J, I always used to support the small companies and the big ones had to wait when I was at work.
On the BF front, all I can say I tried, but DS was too lazy to suck, and never liked milk, in fact didn't do very well until HV told me to put him on granulated rusk at 5 weeks, he never looked back. Unheard of today but he is fine.
Sorry to hear you are not too good either LW, and your ears HH, and everyone who needs one :grouphug:
Take care

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Hello, told you Thursdays were busy, popped into FL, had a little 'flutter' and sorted a few things out. Meeting went quite well, couple of video interviews done for some training material which I hated....but if it helps with training. I must must must get my fuel expenses sorted, I will have to pop back to my list to put that on in a mo. DP back at work tonight, hoping his 'cold killers' help his feet and he actually makes something. I can't manage another week with no income (got £40 last week which barely would cover my diesel he used to get there) I have been putting a plan in place to save for these quieter times.....unfortunately will take me a while to get it built up.
G&B fingers crossed here for your brave little DD x
Hester I had deafness for weeks, in fact long and it hurt and what I used was warm damp towels on my ear, menthol for vapours, sleeping on hot water bottle etc. All of those seemed to really help.
Had a CB hash for tea, lunch was provided at meeting. DP didn't surface until after lunch time I don't think so he just had tea then took sandwiches to work. My driving licence arrived which I only odered online 3 days ago so very pleased with how fast that was (terrible how slow I was sorting it out) Dining table looks like a bomb went off on it, again, I only cleared that yesterday morning, frustrating!
Hope you are all ok, see you all tomorrow x xOne day I might be more organised...........

Grrrr:mad:
Just made 6 phone calls to various departments of the tax office, only to be given the run around.
I became self employed last January and have been paying my quarterly NI contributions since then. But I did not receive the paper forms for tax returns in April as i should have (didnt know that I should have had them till last week).
I rang to get my tax reference number and they said Im not registered! Another person said I am because I have been getting the NI bills, but he couldnt tell me what the registration number is. Rang the local tax office, got a very helpful (or so I thought) person, who is going to send me the paper forms and the registration number in the post today. However, for some reason I have been registered with a temporary NI number - no idea why. He said I needed to ring another number to ask if it could be changed. When I did, that person told me I needed to ring the local tax office - which is where I had just been :mad::mad:
Anyway, upshot is that I am likely to end up with a penalty for late payment/assessment, but as the penalty cant be more than the tax due and the tax due is likely to be £0 (January to April) then the penalty will be reduced to £0 too.
What a palaver! It was supposed to be so simple! And now I cant do anything until I get the letter telling me what the tax reference number is.
Think I might get an accountant next year! [more costs!]
