Halight - I sleep in two shifts... I am going back to bed shortly when my OH leaves for work. I just had a second breakfast of fruit juice and a mince pie. Well, it's fruit, it must be good for me.. :rotfl::rotfl:
Sunny - Hope you find a nice coat, I am just about to text you!
Jackie - Morning hon!
sequeena - pop round for a sausage roll any time
Essex - I would love to make jam too but my OH doesn't eat it and he would have to help me make it which seems unfair!
N9eav - That was lucky finding the broken pieces of the glasses!
Bitsy - I will be watching;):rotfl:
hugs

Morning all
Dark and cold here this morning, had continous snow fall for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon but it was very wet and sleety so did settle temporarily but now is thawing and main roads are clear.
Went to bed early last night slept until 1.30am and then woke up and couldn't get back to sleep, so got up and had a coffee and watched some tv, loaded the DW (hadn't cleared away - slap wrist as that's one of my New Years resolutions to always clear the kitchen every night!) and sorted out a pile of paperwork - so time well spent - then I went back to bed, just before OH had to get up.
We had delicious lamb casserole last night with potato bake, steamed cabbage, carrots and broccolli - it was delish but I tipped the casserole as I was getting it out of the oven and some tipped out and so now I need to clean the oven!! Oh well, once it's done it's another job to tick off the "to do" list.
Will try to get to the scales today I know I will have put on but just how much I'm not sure, but need to know so I can get back on track, had lots of food and alcohol as my birthday celebrations seem to have lasted a week (I'm not complaining tho it's been wonderful!).
Have quite a lot of jobs at home to do, a ironing mountain seems to have appeared and the house needs a good clean. Have decided that I''m going to have a good clean each week on my days off and pick one room each week to really deep clean and see if I can keep on top of it all that way. I did a thorough clean of both the boys bedrooms before Xmas so they are not that bad but just messy so need cleaning up and they both seem to have had a growth spurt - again! so lots of clothes that don't fit need sorting for Charity shop etc. Dinner tonight will be HM lasagne and chips - still sticking to the menu plan which is good. Have to go now otherwise I'll be on here all day and nothing will get done!
Take care those in the snow. Keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

MSD I might just take you up on that offer
I just got back from walking the dogs. I love being out early in the morning when there's no-one else around - all the good walking spots are ours and ours only :money:
Dogs fed, cat fed, OH still in bed, coffee maker will be on in a minute assuming I still have some milk left. If not hot chocolate it is!
Well it's a bit too quiet right now, clearly the animals are plotting something. BBS!Wife and mother :jGrocery budget

Morning All ,
Haven't had a chance to read yesterday's thread yet so will distribute hugs, congratulations and good lucks as required later
A long day yesterday. Went to the midwife for my booking in appointment only, we got considerably more snow overnight than was predicted for our area and they were very short staffed. They were really nice though and totally put my mind at rest about the scan I had last week. Now have lots of reading material whereby I am already being browbeaten about breast feeding (clearly I will be evil if I don't ) and strange pictures of men with 80's haircuts sitting behind their in agony wife whilst she's in labour. Hmmm so long as DH doesn't feel the need to grow himself a mullet I reckon we might be ok.
We didn't get out of the hospital until 2pm - I'd thought I'd be at work by 12:30 at the latest. So I rang my boss and he said not to bother going in as it would've been 3:30 by the time I got in and I finish at 4! Result
Need some advice from you brainy OS'ers - what is high in calcium that isn't milk?! I don't like milk at the best of times but being pregnant I really can't face it. Have also gone off cheese - not very helpful I know...
OS wise for me today mainly involves sending DH out to get some fresh veg, instructing him to put on a wash and then instructing him to decide what he wants for tea! Just cannot get myself together with getting raw meat out of the freezer first thing in the morning, and typically the stuff on my meal plan I don't fancy on the day I've planned it so I get a bit confuddled
Right better at least pretend to work, have great day - hugs all round xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,

Morning everyone:hello:
They're all going to school today:j Dd has an after school club (hopefully) so I've got a nice long day to myself.
I'm planning to finish blocking my granny squares. I've made 80 for a small throw. I've blocked half (pinned out on a thick folded blanket to square off the corners nicely, sprayed with water and left to dry). Then I can begin crocheting them together. I'm quite excited because I think it's going to look great:D
Breakfast was porridge, lunchboxes are ham sandwiches, fruit and flapjacks. I'm going to have 'emerald beans' from this book. It's white beans, savoy cabbage, garlic, olive oil and chilli.
Supper will be something spicy with mince- either keema curry or something Middle Eastern inspired -served with rice.
As Penny says -have a productive old style day0 -

Lowesy I found some info for youKale, turnip greens, collard greens and other dark green vegetables are all excellent sources of absorbable calcium. Kale has 200 mg per cooked cup, collard greens boasts 300 mg, and turnip greens contain a whopping 450 mg.Wife and mother :jGrocery budget
