Morning all

Just about made it before 12 really dont know where my mornings go had to do a practice paper as i have a mock exam in two weeks really struggling to get my brain going last time i took an exam apart from driving was 33 years ago!
Snowing here but not laying thankfully fingers crossed
Tired mum good luck for DD1 in her exam
welcome any newbies
Something easy for tea tonight as not got alot of time working till 5 then need to pop to get my GDD fix for half and hour then off around one of my friends houses for our fortnightly meet
Managed to get one load in this morning and hung round some sheets and pillowcases over bannister
Not much OS happening for me today have agood day everyone xx

:eek:Just had to go to GP for an appointment so had to take DS with me.....it is lethal out there:eek: it is like one big skating rink. The paths are now snow with ice over them and the roads look clear but covered in black ice....a couple of roads we could barely get across and some were shut off with police cars at either end and lots of crashed cars in he middle of them.
Came home and the cat next door had brought an old tom cat with her and they were both sat under our garden table meowing their heads off for some of fatcats fish:o:rotfl:....they were there a while till a fight broke out and they scarpered.

Bitsy hope your DH gets home safely.....no we have no chance of getting sent home early in the NHS:rotfl:.....last week when I had walked there in deep snow and it was getting worse by the hour the matron came down and barked " No early staff are to go home until we know all the late and night staff are here as they may have to stay on!".....hmm I think not:rolleyes:

Hi everyone,

Terrible ice in Derbyshire today so no Toddlers for the 2nd week running (my toddlers is in Sheffield but cant even make it to the bus stop):eek: Mum went to work at 6am and got stuck in the snow till 9.30am she was on the bus but was scared to walk as everyone was falling over.

So I have made a load of Twinks and have Slo cooker on with some steak,kidney,onions,carrot,pepper and oxtail soup,smells yummy,will do some mash and cabbage to go with it.

Need to go shopping soon as we are out of fresh veg and milk is getting low....we do have 8 in the house.

Seeing as boys are off school I will get DS1 to put some stuff in attic for me...fed up of asking OH :rolleyes:

Yet more snow here started during the night and does'nt look like stopping any time soon.
Luckily we went and stocked the 2 Mums up again yesterday so they have plenty of food in.

WM done its stuff just need to empty it now
cheese on toast for lunch
Beef SC on for tonight, and will have treacle sponge and custard for pud

Been a bit sad for the last couple of days, my friends Mum died in hospital on Monday night. She had been taken in because she had a really bad chest infection and had a fall, she was 88 and suffered with Alzheimers(sp)?
Its such a shame she was a lovely lady and a real looker in her day, she was a Bluebell girl years ago and just loved dancing. Her OH is 92 now, he is just lost, he lives with his son so there is someone with him most of the time.

The postman has just been with a parcel and some letters, really didnt expect him today in this awful weather, so thanks very much and well done to him and others like him :T

nimbo - last year I decided to put £3 into a savings account for every day I took lunch to work (or had a free works lunch). I did this from Jan to Aug, and I had saved £260!!!! I stopped in August because I moved into my own flat and was still trying to work out budgets etc but I may go back to it now.

Hello Miss Bubbles! I'm not too far from you! the other side of Leominster! am hoping to visit hereford either tomorrow or Friday with my DH to do a bit fo shopping - weather permitting of course!
