Would I be right in saying that the people getting this offer have their broadband and phone with Sky as well??
My Daughter was offered the HD deal, there is no way on this earth that she would ever use Sky for their telephone service or Broadband.
She declined the HD offer, because she doesn't have a HD TV.;)0 -
no i only had the basic variety pack 4 mix and was paying 21 a month (got a 6 month half price deal a couple of weeks ago) and had a problem with sky+ box, so they offered free hd box, free installation and i didnt need to subscrbe to the hd pack
So you dont have Broadband/phone with them??Been comping for a while....still no luck though0 -
no just the basic tv for now (dont think i could trust them at the min for anything but TV based on the recent visit by the sky guy.)... even had a £21 credit to my account today for the installers poor service on Sat and im thinking about cancelling my contract with them after only 2 days due to the poor service so far with hd... to be honest i cant tell the difference between HD and normal tv so far......0

No I don't have my broadband or my phone with them, and they were was not offered as part of the deal. If they were, I would have refused, as I don't believe in holding all my eggs in one basket. I will say that late last year I reduced my package with them, down from about 70 per month to £35 per month, so this might have had something to do with it, who knows??? I do have Sky Sports so will see how this looks, before reconsidering add Movies back on. Maybe this is why they have given me this taster!

Hi,
My brother in-law has also just taken up SKY HD with free box and install plus nothing to pay for 12 months. I have the full package with my sky+ and multi-rrom so I thought I would give them a call. They too said I had to wait for a call as only 100,000 customers would be receiving this offer!!! I think that's awful as I have been paying full prices for the last 10 years and also have line-rental sky talk and broadband with them.
Fingers crossed I get a call.0 -
told yesterday that they think everyone will get this offer but they wouldnt know when. Also told that some people were getting letters and some calls. I had phoned last week and was told it would cost £59 but I would still need to pay the £10 a month. Called yesterday and was told it would cost £15 and they couldnt do anything on the monthly fee until I received the letter or call.0

Just phoned up and they offered me a Sky HD box for £30. I won't be getting the HD pack as not fussed at the moment.Got BBC HD and ITV HD for world cup though!!
Currently thinking how long I will have to wait til i get offered the Free HD Sub deal. Reckon they will do away with it soon an dintroduce a new 3d Sub.
Also as i'm on a 25% discount for 6 months I'm sort of getting the box for free. Kind of!0 -
Decided to try and ring to cancel to see if I got anywhere with the Sky HD offer, she said I could have it installed for £15 with a free box and then I would still have to pay £10 per month for HD pack. Seen as though I already pay £8 something for Sky Protect and the HD box comes with 12 month warranty I could cancel sky protect, I might consider it.0

I can phone relatives in the USA and Ireland and chat for up to an hour (then hang up and call again) without incurring a huge bill which would have happened if I'd stayed with BT. I still rent my line from BT but I'm still saving a large amount each quarter by switching to SKYTALK Unlimited. I've had no hassles and couldn't fault the system.
I didn't suggest that my Daughter uses BT, she doesn't, she also can call the USA etc. for no additional charges, she just doesn't like the way that Sky take control over everything and there seems to be no quick way out if things go wrong.
She also isn't stitched in to a long contract with her provider.0
