Phoned twice today. Used free number and 0844. No Luck as yet. Played the "I have friend and family who have been offered Free........"
They are telling me to wait for a phone call or pay £60 installation and £10 a month.
Going to play "Missed your phone call" and "You spoke to my partner" card next, but I'm worried they will have my previous calls logged and will know I'm tring to get free HD.
Any advice??0 -
Called to cancel today as they wouldnt give us the offer yesterday, got adviser who asked the problem, I explained and he added it to our account, they coming to fit new box next week!
He said that only 10% of customers getting the offer.0 -

Ring again, the won't have your call logged.
Say the partner took the call and couldn't authorise the deal......if it fails, try again. It only took us two calls, once on the 0844 number and secondly successfully on the 0800 number.0 -

It's just the fella I spoke to said as mine is being fitted in the morning I should have a good selection to choose from. I would like a 500gb (don't expect the 1tb!), either Samsung or pace. It says on some of the advertising that you can record 60 hours and I have read that 60hrs would equate to a 500gb box.
Could be wrong but from what I've read elswhere ... with this offer you don't get a choice, everyone gets an Amstrad DRX890 box. People who don't want the HD pack (or new subscribers to Sky+) also get one of the HD boxes but with a smaller HDD.0 -

Rang free No again, This time she put me on hold and then said that she was unable to put me though to anyone as it was the "Outbound" department that had phoned and I must wait for them to phone me back.
I don't know If i'm being paranoid but from her tone I think she knew I had already phoned twice to get HD free with a different reason. Surely the calls are logged on their system??0 -

I am 100% sure, they have a facility to log every single call and every single conversation and due to the amount of calls they are getting, I wouldnt be suprised that internally they are starting to put notes on the accounts.
In the end its a call centre and every call center works in a similar way, which basicly means, they will be become aware of these calls and react to that. Only difference will be the agent, whether he is doing what he is suppose to do or not...0 -

What makes you think that? If that was the case, most people on here have called at least twice, they therefore should NOT get the deal, but are.0 -

I went straight thru to cancellations this time though, as we are due to move in a few months anyway so was happy to cancel, then restart as new customer as new address. I think they knew from my tone that I wasnt bluffing.0 -
I think the term "if you don't know....make it up?" will start to appear as nobody really really knows how it works.
But I DO KNOW from a friendthat the person who actually chooses the lucky winners, is an ex singer from Memphis who works in a chip shop somewhere near Bolton ? but you mustn't let SKY know I told you, although also another friend told me that SKY are monitoring these boards!!!!!!!
Good luck to those who get it, I didn't despite ringing and telling them Elvis rang me but I was out, so have canceled and will now look to Freesat for entertainment0 -
Rang the number listed earlier. Explained about the missed phone cal (ahem!) and now my mum will have Sky HD+ free for 12 months as from monday 29th
Free box, free install, free HD subscription
