First rule is don't let your dogs on the sofa. That is your high territory and the dogs have assumed control over your house....

Yes my dogs totally rule my house...oh well. They are lovely to cuddle up to on my sofa!
My dog Molly ( named after her) chats to me all the time - she kind of woos at me not a bark or a howl. Mine are also ruled by the clock and are telepathic. I can think walk or food and there they are!

For some people it's fine, but as dogs are pack animals there has to be a leader. In the home it should be people. Larger dogs can get out of control assuming the leadership role and then they bite people and poop everywhere....

It was nice to see all the new faces on here yesterday, welcome. Hope you all come back and post regularly. Only problem was I cant remember what everyone said, but then I've never been very good at that anyway.:rotfl:

Today its back to the dreaded dentist for a filling. Yuk. :o Then have to walk to DD school, as the year 6 are going to the secondary school to do a PE thing, so have volunteered to help walk them there. Will have my welly boots on to minimise the risk of falling over!

Kids had leftover curry in wraps for their lunch, and DS took a flask of hot chocolate and some marshmallows! I will be having leftover quorn sausage casserole, which not only is yummy but is no syns on slimming world.

    Sunnygirl - hugs.

    Morning All

Sky looking full of snow here again - fingers crossed we dont get anymore!! Woke DS up this morning and he is not feeling well so wont be getting up for school - only been back one day (yesterday) for his exam and hoping he recovers in time for his next one on Thursday.
Made spag bol end of last week and just discovered the bolognese left in the fridge so think I will make that into a lasagne today :j

Diva - your Treacle sounds spoilt ;) My cat just loves chicken and I cant defrost any without his constant miaowing til he finally gets his way :rotfl:

On the dog front - DD has been nagging me for ages now for us to have one. Is ok for her as she is not here for a lot of time so would be me that would end up with the walkies etc. Must think seriously about it though as would be great company for me having recently gone through a marriage break up

bargain bird - those mumbai pots sound gorgeous. Must give them a go

lowesy - hope you are ok after your tumble

Right time to make a move tummy is telling me it is brek time - Catch you all later
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints - the sinners are much more fun ;)

  • Morning all, everyone's sounding pretty upbeat today!

I wil1 add to list and say that I too, enjoyed the "new" posters on yesterday's thread, some of you are right characters, I guess!;)

Lowesy, hope you're OK I remember when I was expecting DS1 I fell down the stairs in my mum's house on my bum! Luckily, like you there was plenty of padding there! Still is!:rotfl:

JackieO your wee grandsons sound lovely. Love the idea about the stars!

All this talk of doggies has me very jealous. We would love a dog, but I don't think we have enough time, or are at home enough, to devote the time raising a dog would take. DH and I both grew up with dogs, and MIL had a dog which the boys adored until about 3 years ago, and they Ds's still talk fondly of him, he's left a big hole in the family, but she's not fit enough for one, which is a shame, as the company would be good for her. Might have to wait for retirement.(ME, that is!):D

OS wise, I'll be attempting FLYing today, hope to dye my hair and the roots are almost white. I'm naturally a sort of auburny-brown, I think, but at 36 I actually about 1/4 white now. My DM and DGM were both grey early too! I barely have a wrinkle yet, either, which makes it even more annoying!

I digress, I will also be baking today as I did none yesterday and we need bread and cakes of some sort. Probably will do flapjack as I can't resist them and OH loves them too. Will make dinner too before work for the 3 boys. The 2 DS's are still off today, still pretty off colour but no more sickness thank goodness.

Have a lovely day, free hugs to all, especially the sick/sad/fed up!

  • Lowesy don`t be too hard on yourself about needing to lie down when you get in.....I was exhausted the first few months of pregnancy and used to need a sleep everynight when I got in.....after all you are growing another person:D
Noah improved a bit but not well enough to go to school so another unpaid day for me today. He has had to get in bed with me for a cuddle the last few nights to calm him down and get to sleep...he doesnt cope with illness well...feel like I have hardly seen OH this week.
I managed to get ironing finished yesterday but more washing to do today....and so the cycle continues:rolleyes:
I have just been on Sainsburys and done shopping which I am going to stretch over a fortnight due to the money situation due to illness and snow stopping work:o:rolleyes:
No more snow today yet and it seems to be thawing a bit :T
Off for a coffee while N is watching tv.
    Keep safe and warm everyone

Speaking of dogs, we have a rescue dog called Pip - she's a Jack Russell Terrier - fabulous with the kids - but no real training so a bit of a handful. If the gate is left a smidge open she's gone (normally to the old chap over the road who gave her a joint of beef on Saturday )!! She's very sweet and it's her birthday tomorrow - 5 years old!

    OK, must get going .....

Good morning all, hope you are all well, just defrosting after the school walk(slip sliding most of the way), just waiting for the next onslaught of snow to hit......oh, joy!!!!

Leftovers here too. Made a curry with Sundays leftover lamb, tis yummy, had it yesterday and will have the rest today for lunch. Not sure about dinner yet, I'll see what is in the freezer??

I will be doing housework today so hopefully that will keep me warm. It's kitchen day on the flying list and will TRY and do some ironing as well xx
