I feel like I may have upset some of the flyladies yesterday which was not my intention at all. Again I am sorry if that is the case.
If the concern was that Flylady was becoming too long - which is the case for me - I have tried and cant keep up with it - why not make it a daily as this is.
Pipkin - I have two lovely little dogs and am housebound much of the time. I have a dog walking rota which the kids adhere to and sometimes I go out on my scooter with the kids and dogs. My dogs are my absolute lifeline and they are so therapeutic.
Not sure whats happening today xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

I agree. I love the time spent walking/grooming/just being with my dogs. Though I draw the line at them trying to come in the bath with me:rotfl:

This is what I would have to do, Molly.
The only thing is, the girls have talked of going to university when they're older, and I couldn't walk a dog, as I use sticks or my wheelchair.
It would be lovely to have a new puppy though
What type of dogs do you have?
The girls have suggested a scottie dog. No idea about that breed at the moment, so would have to read up on it.There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -
Good morning
Wow!! How exciting was yesterdays thread. As a newbie myself I'm just getting to know everyone and suddenly theres lots of new friends. OK, maybe I'm just sad, but its nice to hear about what everyones doinging/have done in their day.
Sequeena - Agree with you about Shepherds. I have two and they are the soppiest dogs ever!! I say dogs, actually their my children!! Its OK, DS and DD know this.
OS wise, I'm still trying to stretch our budget this month. DH hasn't had any work for four weeks now, but I'm not panicking yet - honest. I took some steak and kidney out of the freezer yesterday which previously would have made 2 meals and stretched it with veggies to make 4. If nothing else I'm getting very resourceful. I've also noticed that we haven't got as much rubbish either, what can't be eaten - between us and the dogs - is being burnt on our woodburner to help keep us warm. Makes you wonder why I didn't think of this beforeStil better late than never!!
Have a good day everyone. Take care and keep warm
((((Hugs)))) to anyone who wants/needs one0 -
Good Morning Everyone!
Redruby, thought about your move yesterday and hope it all went well.
Pipkin, we now just have the one border collie (Mollie, aged 10) but I know DH is considering finding another as he feels she is missing her old friend! Yes, this is the same man who said "No more, she will be the last one"etc only a few weeks ago! Can't imagine not having a border collie, they are great dogs - and their need for exercise is good for me!
Diva - we once had a cat who would come for miles if we stood at the door sharpening the carving knife!! What the neighbours must have thought I dread to think - he was hoping that liver was on the menu!
Well, chaos reigns everywhere after yesterday's shelving exploits - if only I'd remembered the chap was coming I could have taken my time to get things cleared properly, instead of virtually sweeping things into every available corner! I have lost my course file - and I need it desperately as this essay needs writing by Friday!!
WM has just finished so need to transfer that to TD. Yesterday made HM soup for lunch and Jamie's beef and ale casserole for supper - no idea what's happening today other than supper needs to use some of the roast pork from Sunday.
Tutoring starts this afternoon - am feeling strangely nervous, despite 30+ years of teaching , 13+ years of which were as spent in headship!!
Well, take care of yourselves. ((HUGS)) for all who need one today.Resolution:

I have two westie girls as I love terriers and they don't moult and don't exacerbate DS3 asthma and eczema. Mine learnt very quickly but it was hard work when they were pups with the potty training. My eldest two are also contemplating Uni but I just feel I would cope as I can get out with them on my scooter. They also enjoy a run around the garden playing catch. I cant say in words what they have given me particularly this past 18 months when I have been so ill. They are so comforting and make me feel secure.
My friend has a Mastiff - a lovely dog but I agree incredibly protective xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

Good morning everyone
Mioliere Hope you get the cough sorted it seems to have been with you for a while now.
Diva Enjoy the journey in the new car, inhale that lovely new car smell while you're in there
Plans for today are to do whatever tidying & cooking etc that I need to this morning and then I'm going to the Town Hall and the funeral directors with SIL this afternoon. Hopefully some more knitting this evening & I also need to measure some curtains up for the living room. We have vertical blinds and ordinary curtains that are never closed as we use the blinds IYSWIM? MIL had 3 packs of unopened voile panels in white with a lovely square design every so often so I want to make them into tie backs just to dress the window instead of curtains. I shall have to get the sewing machine out later in the week. It'll be lovely once it's done I'm sure
Lunch will be scrambled eggs on toast and dinner is a chicken & veg curry with rice & HM flatbread.to anyone who needs one & have a good day all.

Morning all
Lazy start for me, well sort off, was up at silly o'clock to get hubby to the station as he's got a couple of days roofing with a friend of BIL. I'm now home, breakfasted & all ready to work, but they aren't opening until 8:30. Therefore I have loads of time to do lots of housework before I go in, nah, I'm going to sit on here & surf, though I will throw something in the slow cooker for tea before I set off.
HJ my mother lived in Swindon for a few years, I'd nearly mastered the Magic Roundabout by the time she moved away.
Csarine, hope you have a good journey.
MSD I hope you find a new cleaner soon.
Hubby & I would love a dog, but as it's all we can do to feed ourselves some months it's probably best if we stick to dog boarding.
Sequeena, I'll look after yours anytime, especially the Mastiff, I love them.
Hope the tutoring goes ok beemuzed
Keep warm & safe everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning all
Dark and cold here this morning but no more snow, just icy. OH still on early turns and so last night he was in bed so were the boys and I was just enjoying the peace and quiet with a cup of coffee before going to bed and we had a power cut, so was scrabbling around in the dark to find a torch (we always have one but just needed to find it!), managed to locate my phone first and that gave me enough light to find the torch! I had just set the alarm clock on my phone (so OH didn't oversleep) and the power came back on!
Had delicious gammon, egg, potatoes and veg last night, tonight we have fish - all menu planned so no spends - except I need to purchase cakes etc for the team today as it was my birthday last week but don't mind as they were very generous with my birthday gift!
Need to get a move on as I have no childcare today as childminder's MIL is very ill and was not expected to last the night - when you hear these things it always make you realise there's always someone worse off than yourself.
Take care those in the snow. Keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.
