Going to have to disagree with you there. Never had a dog that has been dominant or aggressive simply because it's been allowed to sit on the sofa. They all know the off command and get off when I tell them to. They never get up until I allow them.
They also have their own settee so yeah, that's gone out the window.
Letting your dog sit on the settee does not make it become dominant.
There are other reasons for not letting your dog sit on the sofa. I could elaborate, but I might be accused of giving TMI.
I'm back home from delivering dd back to Uni in Bath. Stayed in Uni accommodation last night (no loo roll in my 'hotel style' 3* room and when I called the accommodation office the woman told me I could go and collect some!). DD drove part way and it was an easy trip with clear roads.
OS I got a tin at the cook shop for having a go at Pork Pie. LOL! DD wanted to shop for jeans this morning, so I had an hour of New Look then took her to the Pump Rooms for breakfast. Not very MS, but when I was her age I lived in Bath for a few years and never went in, so was a nice treat for us both.
We ate at the campus pub last night which was good value and I took her to Sainsbury's for some food, as there was none in. One of the lads in her flat at the campus has a small slow cooker, it was bubbling away when we went back with the shopping! Very impressed.
Now I have to go and get DS from school, that will take best part of an hour. Going to the 'nice' butcher for some mince. Going to do mince and veg with mash today, comfort food! I stopped at ALdi on the way in for some fresh stuff. Onions were on super 6, so got 4 bags! They'll keep.

I keep saying I am going to change my eating habits and just can't (or won't perhaps is better) make any headway. Feeling thoroughly p!ssed off with myself now - it's official I am my own worst enemy

Hi everyone,
Purpleivy, last year I was at a conference in Melton Mowbray and we had a demonstration of pie making using hot water crust pastry and they don't use a tin, that's why Melton Mowbray pies are bowed in the middle where they have sagged. We were told that the Old Pie Shop sold about 4,000 pies a week and 30,000 in the 6 days before Christmas!!!
Great to see all the Flyladies here. I've just joined that thread but it used to go so quickly I had not hope of keeping up with it.
HJ I hope you get your creditors sorted out - I am a Town Council Clerk and try to make sure that all the small businesses are paid as soon as possible, it seems so unfair to keep them waiting when often they have provided a quick service for us. It also wouldn't be good for the town if local traders went under as a result of late payers.
I can't remember much more of the thread, apart from Lowesy's fall and lots of dog talk - our current model is a miniature poodle, who I admit is much more spoilt than previous dogs (2 springers and a cocker spaniel). However, she doesn't moult so I'm relaxed about her on the settee and she is a very affectionate obedient dog. She lays her head on DH's chest, looks into his eyes and rumbles in different tones to tell him she wants feeding - she is conviced that she is human.0 -
Taplady, Pavers is my favourite shop and Lurchers are my favourite dogs. We have a gorgeous boy, he's 11. He had an accident in October and is still recovering, he was playing with a toy in the garden when he turned round very quickly and damaged his spine. After a lot of very expensive treatment he is back to his usual cheeky self even though he still has one back leg not working properly. He is still having physio and he goes swimming every week. Just glad we had good insurance, £6500 so far.
Not very OS at the moment, I've been unwell lately, roll on summer.
Hugs and good wishes to everyone in need.
Have a nice evening.0 -

I took our new dog to try to go in the field behind the house this morning. I have discovered that she is very frightened of sheep. She managed to get away from me as I struggled with dog, gate and walking stick. At least me know she won't run off. She legged it straight back to the house.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

OOh the snow has arrived
- now please remember that I was in New Zealand for all of the snow you lot have endured! so it's still a novelty for me! It should be interesting walk home in the snow!
Dinner with friends has been cancelled due to weather, so I'll be making stirfry for tea (and sticking to my diet)
All this dog talk has really made me want a dog, never had one before. But I live in top floor flat and work full time so it's not really possible.
Have a good evening all
